I AM WONDERING WHETHER OR NOT DEUT 12 IS VOID!!!!! YOU SAY "God did not warn us about going into another land, to possess it, and not follow their Gods. I am not following their Gods, are you?"

When I point out that the passage says the it's worshiping God in the same manor that they worship their gods, that is the abomination...

I then pointed out Matthew 19:17, And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

You have not responded to either... PLEASE DUDE I AM NOT TROLLING!

1. You are trolling, because people has answered. and you refuse to acknowledge
2. Deut 12 was not written to us, it was written to Israel as a warning of that they are not to do when they go into the promised land
3. We are not worshiping AS THE PAGANS DO
4. GOD HAS USED IT (this should be more than proof to you, but you refuse to even acknowledge or answer it, which is why I say you have a closed mind)

God punished Isreal for worshiping as the pagans do. He has been for hundreds of years now. and still is.

so if he USES these two holidays for his own Good, yet punished Isreal for doing what he commanded them not to. How can you sit there and say we are in sin?

Look at how God responds. not what our feeble minds think

(Here is my question...)

If Easter and Christmas were pagan holidays, should we worship Christ on those days?

In the bible God over and over it says that they did there own traditions,

and did not follow Gods holy convocation that he commanded.

the bible says not to do mans traditions , but do keep whats holy to God holy.

no i do not think we should celebrate pagan holidays
What about celebration a holiday in the way a pagan would, but dedicate it to God?

1.) I AM ASKING QUESTIONS!
2.) PLEASE Provide me a bible verse that says we do not have to follow the law...
3.) The whole Christmas tradition is pagan, the meals, the tree, santa, EVERYTHING!
4.) Can you show me where God said he will take pagan traditions and use them for good?

This is why I am asking questions I am wanting to know how God thinks, He gave us the book for a reason...

"One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God." Rom. 14:5-6

Rom. 14:5-6
I understand, but I am going to be convinced upon the bible's word alone... This is why I have questions... I want to know that God says X in passages Y so therefore do Z

But what about celebrating it in the way a pagan would?

That's a contradiction in itself.

E.g: With all the so called pagan elements of Christmas, we should first and foremost use it to celebrate 'the Word becoming flesh.' It only becomes a pagan holiday when we take the 'Christ' out of 'Christmas'

What about Deut 12, saying do not worship God in the way the pagans worship their gods...

And every tradition we get that is in Christmas is derived from pagans...

Is it still right to use Christmas if we dedicate it to the Lord? Even though it is pagan?

Yes, and I am not saying that I do not do this...

I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THIS IS AN ABOMINATION UNTO GOD! AND IF IT IS I NEED TO REPENT!

It's only an abomination if you allow Christmas to mean more than what it is: Jesus birthday.. Yes, I know December 25th isn't Jesus actual bday, but it's the meaning behind it. IF Christmas is all about Christ for you, then good. It's when you place material value on it that God is displeased.

some of Gods warning about another gospel being preached

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Jesus Christ warned, "Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many" (Matthew 24:4–5).

"There are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ" (Galatians 1:7).

"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you
than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you
than what you have received, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:8–9).

For (false Christs) and (false prophets shall rise), and shall shew signs and wonders,
to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. Mark 13:22 (KJV)

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;
insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24

Beware of (false prophets), which come to you in (sheep's clothing),
but inwardly they are ravening wolves.(Matthew 7:15)

As I urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that
you may (charge certain persons) not to teach (any different doctrine),(1 Timothy 3)

But there were (false prophets) also among the people, even as there shall be (false teachers among you),
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them,
and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (2 Peter 2:1)

These people are the ones who are creating divisions among you. They follow
their natural instincts because they do not have God’s Spirit in them.(Jude 1:19)

In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation
has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.(2 Peter 2:3)

a man named Simon had been a sorcerer there for many years, amazing the people of Samaria and claiming to be someone great. Everyone, from the least to the greatest, often spoke of him as “the Great One—the Power of God.”
They listened closely to him because for a long time he had astounded them with his magic.Acts 8:9-10)

These are the things you are to teach and insist on.
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction
of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 1 Timothy 6:3

Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith;
they will follow deceptive spirits and (teachings that come from demons). 1 Timothy 4:14

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?(Matthew 7:22)

"Many will "begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,'
Jesus said "Depart from Me, (all you workers of iniquity)."

Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.
So be on your guard! Remember that (for three years) I never stopped (warning each of you night and day with tears).

Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away
by the error of (the lawless) and (fall from your secure position).(2 Peter 3:17)

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires,
because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers. (II Timothy 4:3)

I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will (come in among you after I leave), (not sparing the flock).
Even some men from (your own group) will rise up and (distort the truth) in order to draw a following.(Acts 20:29)

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are
turning to a different gospel, which is really no gospel at all.

(A great wave of persecution began that day), sweeping over the church in Jerusalem;
and (all the believers except the apostles) were scattered through the regions of Judea and Samaria.(acts 8:9)

- all the believers scattered except the apostles, and they were tortured and killed.

Daniel 7:25 (KJV)
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High,
and (think to change times and laws): and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men" (Matthew 15:8–9).

But Deut 12 28-32 says that it doesn't matter what it means to you...

Christmas is a pagan holiday, thats a fact...

The question is, is Deut 12 still in use, if it is not why? What verses support this view?

Matthew 5:17, 1 John 2:3-6, Romans 7:12, Mark 7:6-9

Those verse's all have one thing in common, they all say the law is standing. Now this can become tricky, because verses like 1 Corinthians 7:18-19 where Paul almost says one commandment is not necessary but still tells us to follow it... This is cleared up with a parallel in Romans 2:29. Saying that the law is in obeyed your heart, not in your religion. Such as praying alone to God in a closet, compared to having a public showing of how holy you are by praying in a mall for public attention. This also goes hand and hand with Jesus saying if any many looks lustfully at another, then you have committed adultery in your heart. (Matthew 5:28).

This is not what my question is over, but is a pivoting point for the answer. If I am correct the answer will lie in, do you follow it in only your heart. Or is a thing like James 2:8 more of the issue here?

I know that I have skimmed over like 8 preaching lessons in less then two paragraphs, and if I am wrong please show me. But I think I have a pretty good grasp over what I have said. I just had to law a foundation to build the question upon.

Here we go gnawing towards the bone.
In Deut. 4 it says do not add or subtract even one commandment.
In Exodus 32 The people of God who had just made a blood covenant with them, grew tired of waiting on God... So they went to Aaron and asked for him to make them a calf, Aaron did and dedicated a feast to the Lord. Even though the feast was dedicated to God, He was furious! He was about to slay them right then and there. Now, I believe that God became even more furious when they worshiped Him in the way Egyptians worship their gods... Why do I think this?Duet 12:28-32. God specifically told us, that when they get spread out upon the earth. Do not worship Him in the way the pagans worship their god's for it is an abomination unto God. He even warns us that the those people who worship their gods in those ways will be burnt in the fire.

Here is my question...

If Easter and Christmas were pagan holidays, should we worship Christ on those days? (No way was Christ born on the 25th, or died Easter Sunday...

December 25th being the day they worship their sun god's. And on Easter where they would sacrifice children and die eggs in the baby's blood, because Ishtar/Easter was Nimrods wife who was the god of fertility was reincarnated and when she came back down from the moon she came in a egg, To proclaim divinity she turned a bird into a rabbit that lays eggs. So, they would impregnate virgins on the alter of Easter and slaughter the children when they were 3 months old. And dye the eggs in the baby's blood as a remembrance of the goddess of the moon.

Tammuz was Nimrod's reincarnation name, and died in a freak hunting accident from a boar. So on Easter they would not only sacrifice children and die the egg's for the moon goddess, but they would slaughter a pig and eat it for the sun god on Easter.
Furthermore they would deny themselves 40 days of pleasure each year around the time of Easter so the sun god could have pleasure in the after life. Nearly identical to lent.
Ishtar/Easter Nimrod's wife said that she saw a tree appear when her husband/son ascended into heaven. And every year he would return to give presents under it...

Chemosh/Molech god of prosperity, his people had a tradition on December 25th that they would get a statue of him with a phrygian cap, red hot with a fire, and the people would make a list of their desires and then set a child on his lap so the desire would be fulfilled.

Zeus/Jupiter on December 25th a Greek general Antiochus Epiphanies set a statue of that god on the Temple Mount and sacrificed a pig on the Alter of God and declared Jupiter god over God.

Ra and Artis, both castrated themselves so worshipers would hang gold and silver balls in honor of them from palm tree's.

Do you think it would be pleasing unto God if I were to celebrate Christmas, even if I have a good intention? I know this is a very anti dramatic question after all of that... But I don't think that the answer lies around "BUT CHRISTMAS MEANS THIS TOO ME" If this were true then Deut 12:28-32 would be false...

Here as some pictures of the gods listed above...

Truth I have known and practiced for 45 years. Ishtar and xmas are abominable practices and condemned by scripture.

But Deut 12 28-32 says that it doesn't matter what it means to you...
If you take a pagan holiday and dedicate it to God it is an abomination!

The question is, is Deut 12 still in use, if it is not why? What verses support this view?

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

I walked out of the house this morning and planted my feet on the earth and looked up at the sky and saw the heavens. Besides that, this has not occurred yet...

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

So, what part of Deut 12 is done away with?
