I gotta confess... sometimes when I'm home alone I like to bury myself in the garden and pretend I'm a carrot

If you don't know what God wants you to be,
then how can you be sure whether or not you're measuring up?

Maybe you need to do some bible study on what you're supposed to be,
so it's really clear.
Max - Most of the time you make me laugh and I can agree with you - however, Your remark about How can you be sure whether or not you are measuring up? Well - News Flash from the Blond... We will NEVER MEASURE UP... Not yelling just making a point. You see Jesus is the one who measured up for us. it is His perfect life that is accounted to us because We Will Never Be Good Enough. Our best is as filthy rages. Our part is to ask Jesus to forgive us and repent turning away from sin and that can only be done with the help of the Holy Spirit dwelling in our hearts. This is called Salvation and Justification only through Jesus Christ our Lord. So we will never measure up. We rest in Jesus as He measured up for us.

By the way I don't know what I want to be when I grow up either... and just a few days away from 60 I'm not worried about it. I just keep my ears, eyes open and sometimes try and keep my mouth shut - this is a hard thing for this Blond to do. But I do try and listen to the prompts that God sends my way and obey them.

We can all use extra Bible study and praying is a great requirement too in staying in communication with God that advise would not hurt any of us. But be careful about that measuring up part. Some might think we need to earn our way to heaven and that's not going to happen. Tickets already been paid for we just need to pick it up at the I accept Jesus as my personal Savior window. Meet you in heaven......The Blond

1. I agree with you.

2. I probably didn't make my point very clearly.

3. "justanotheruser" said she was frustrated about not being what she's supposed to be,
and then said she also wasn't even sure what that was.

My point was: she should just read the scripture and find out.

4. I probably could have said it better... like most of the things I say.

Hiya! I struggle with road rage in a big way - which goes against my nature and personality in every other aspect of my life. I'm not sure what that's about but I'm sure God'll show me.

I struggle with this too. Somehow... pulling my car out onto the road seems to activate my inner jerk.

Usually when I drive, it activates the "inner jerk" of others.

I always stay right on top of my line;
I don't know why people go swooping around me honking and acting crazy.

Seriously, if they aren't happy... they should get their own line.

Reminds me of a story of a mother who was driving her daughter home from a school band practice one night. Traffic was light on the highway, a far cry from the usual hectic rush-hour traffic.

Her daughter was quiet for most of the ride. Suddenly she said, "Mom, are YOU ever the idiot?"

The mother said, "Yes, sometimes I'm the idiot. But don't tell dad." >.>

So I was listening to random tracks on my hard disk
and THIS starts playing, at midnight. Remarkable.

De Profundis...

[SUP]1 [/SUP]Out of the depths I cry to You, Lord;
[SUP]2 [/SUP]Lord, hear my voice.
Let Your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]If You, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?

[SUP]4 [/SUP]But with You there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve You.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in His word I put my hope.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with Him is full redemption.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]He himself will redeem Israel
from all their sins.

(Psalm 130 / NIV)

Personally this Blond thinks she Owns The Road. I just allow other people to use it as long as they stay out of my way- this is in Florida of course.....lol

Sometimes I have a tendency not to respond to people who are from other non-english speaking countries, in large part because the language barrier can just be so frustrating.
A bridge when it is built, has two extremes... That´s way that need of building it exits, to lessen the frustration of the distance and such communicatives frustrations. ;)

Grace, somehow I picture YOUR version of an "inner jerk" as... blessing the cars and blowing them kisses wishing for their safety after they nearly sideswipe you. I mean, if I saw you on the road I'd be like, "Oh please please please, be a jerk to MMMMEEEEE!!!!"

On a serious note--I think parents should get an automatic pass of semi-understanding--not that anyone's lives should be endangered or anything, but parents are naturally a bit more defensively protective, because they are carrying a precious cargo with them--their kids. And, if their kids aren't with them... They are trying their best to make it home safely and back to their kids.

That is!

Once you´ve got a child, you´d never cease to love them and this feeling is totally diffrent of singlehood. Mothers and parents see life differently, once they had a baby in their hands. Perhaps that was the reason God gave some to rear children. Selfishness changed, open-armed, for them.
