Jesus used humour my friend and some wee offended
Jesus was God Almighty in the flesh and He could read people's minds and know about their lives intimately. We are not like that, my friend. We are to love and to pray even for our enemies.

Besides, nobody truly likes being ridiculed or put down. You wouldn't like it if someone you loved deeply (like your wife or your child) was made fun of like that.

i 25Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
Acts 4:25 states that Psalm 2 is by David.

The point is, it's all over the Bible that David repented, you won't find one verse... that says I solomon repent to YAHWEH ..period, believe what you want

9And YAHWEH was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from YAHWEH God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice, 10And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which YAHWEH commanded. 11Wherefore YAHWEH said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. 12Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

So I guess this scripture " facts " TRUTH.... means nothing to a few of you ?
I will restate this 1 more time for a truthful answer... Do these verses mean something to the few of you that say solomon repented...

It doesn't matter if you personally are shopping for another wife or not. Do you believe polygamy is okay for other people on this planet today? If it is not okay, then why was it okay back then?
I don't see any Scriptural reason why polygamy is not OK.
Jesus condemned the pharisees for going beyond what the Scriptures said.
Why should I condemn anyone for a practice permitted by Scripture?

It is not ok, read Ephesians 5:

in the beginning there weren't many women, why it was permissible ..

I disagree. Jesus said things that declared that He was God. We can't speak like that because we are not God.

As for Elijah: Well, that is a different context and situation. We are not under living in the OT times where God brought forth His justice in such a way as today.

Also, while it is permissible for God to do certain things, not all things that God does can we do like take life whenever we wish, or judge all of mankind like Jesus, and or die for the sins of the entire world, etc. So while we are to conform to the image of Christ, there are limits to how we are to conform to His image. We will not literally be like God and or have deity. He will always be the Creator and we will always be just the creation. I don't think it is appropriate to mock and or attack others if you are Christian. We are called to love and not mock.

There is a difference between rebuking and mocking. Paul did not verbally attack Peter in a childish way and call him names or poke fun at him, though.

Christians are not supposed to mock others. For It is written...

Matthew 15:11 ESV

"It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.

Ephesians 5:4

"Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks."

Proverbs 26:18-19 NIV

18 "Like a maniac shooting flaming arrows of death

19 is one who deceives their neighbor and says,

"I was only joking!""

Colossians 4:6

"Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man."

Ephesians 4:29 ESV

"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Proverbs 18:20-21

20 "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

James 1:26

"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain."

Titus 2:7-8 ESV

"Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us."

Matthew 12:36

"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment."

Just because somebody doesn't complain about something bad does not mean that such a thing is good.

God does not require us to go to war with evil enemy nations and or to sacrifice animals according to the Law anymore. We are not living in the Old Testament times, which were clearly different. For Jesus said we are no longer to render an eye for an eye, but we are to turn the other cheek now.

[h=1]Acts 13:7-12King James Version (KJV)[/h]7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

King James Version (KJV)
