I wonder if this could turn into a study on the variations of the meaning of the word "love" in the greek?

I didn't say that your thread lacks intelligence, I just said that the your first post in this thread was crass. I believe that you are highly intelligent but perhaps you lack wisdom due to your young age. By the way, I enjoy your posts but this last one was a little bit too edgy IMO and not very subtle in its implications. Carry on.
I agree it's a little too edgy.

Crass means lacking intelligent.

Tourist, I honestly find it hard to tell with you. I can't tell if you really mean well or whether you actually have a problem with me. With all due respect (and I don't say that as just a happy little phrase, I really mean that with all due respect) I honestly find you belittling, condescending and a little patronising.

I used this language on purpose. I'm real. I'm being real. There's a world out there that can't relate to squeaky clean polite silver lined optimist (I'm not saying that that's you because I don't know you, I'm just using that as an example). There's a world out there that needs reaching and they need reaching by people with an edge, people with rough surfaces and who are rough cut. I mean, I believe Jesus to be that kind of guy too. And those are the people Jesus chose to be his closest disciples. If you really wanna help me, throwing up short little comments are not the way to do it. Actually say something helpful rather than criticise. I'm not gonna change. Report me, get me blocked, get me banned, I'm really not phased.

Don't read this in a snappy tone. Although my words are quite blunt, like i said, I mean this with all due respect and I don't want to sound disrespectful.

I don't want anyone to be banned so that is why I wrote what I did. I don't believe that you have been disrespectful to me either.

Crass means lacking intelligent.
nope - he meant this definition:
[h=2]crass[/h] adjective \ˈkras\ : having or showing no understanding of what is proper or acceptable : rude and insensitive

which is not to say I agree with him about it (although I would have left the "Hollywood wet dream" part out - perhaps that was a bit much.)

Now let's not get all condescending-y with the OP, calling younger folks "son" and such. Wisdom comes from a healthy fear of the Lord and obedience as much as it does age and experience. I'm sure most of us can think of people who demonstrate more wisdom than others twice their age.

I think a more common definition of crass is simply having poor taste while lacking subtlety. Yea, that's the ticket!

One can be both crass and intelligent.

I am sorry about the 'son' remark. That was uncalled for.

HHAHAHA do Americans still think we say that kinda stuff? That is for the royals and such, no one says cheerio anymore - only old folk and posh folk.

I thought son thing was a little condescending but I dismissed it because I thought it was cultural habbit. Like the way I saw fam or pal or mate, etc.

Depends how you define posh. Would you say "toff" is a more accurate word? haha

I think we're just not used to your type of humor here. When I first read your post I was taken aback by some of the sexual references and how they are assigned to men and women, but after awhile I realized that what I read was probably supposed to be funny. I hope so anyway..

In all honesty, my initial reaction to the op was that it was like an infomercial on how to get into someones pants vs how to align ones attitude and thoughts about people and relationship into one that is honoring to God. No offense...I think the heart behind it is a good one.

I'm usually too busy being amused by this guy's posts to respond right away. As one who "gets" his humor, I find it refreshing.

That's interesting since I'm a virgin haha.
I don't think I'm qualified to give that kind of advice.

A few thoughts on the OP:

Barney Stinson! He had it right, world wise that is. After meeting a woman, you say her name in a sentence, then insult her, then compliment her. (In progression, not all at once). Worldly girls eat that up!

I've always been a nice guy. And I couldn't get a woman's attention if I was on fire outside a boarding house. Nice guys finish last? Heck, they're a non-starter.

Here's an experiment: Get a woman to make a list of the qualities she wants in a man. Go find the man that embodies them. Arrange for the two to innocently meet. My money says she won't give him the time of day.

The above works the other way around as well. Get a man to make a list... then show that woman to him next to one in a halter top. Halter top will win every time!

Thank God that we are not of this world. eh?
