Dear satan,

After all that you put me through,
You think I'd despise you,
But in the end I wanna thank you,
'Cause you've made me that much Stronger!

After all of the stealing and cheating you probably think that I hold resentment for you
But uh uh, oh no, you're wrong.
'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do, I wouldn't know
Just how capable I am to pull through...

So I wanna say thank you...

It made me that much Stronger!
It made me work a little bit Harder!
It made me that much Wiser!
So thanks satan for making me a FIGHTER!

You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself...

But in the end you'll see,
YOU-WON'T-STOP-ME!!

Sincerely Undefeated Champion,
Becky

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (King James Bible, 1 John 4:4)

Am I the only one who isn't comfortable with the idea of writing letters to Satan and thanking him, even something like this?

How about directing this sort of creativity toward God and thanking Him, but not Satan?

It is God who puts us through hardships in order to make us stronger, and to prove that with Him we can do anything at all. Though Satan is trying to destroy us, it is in fact God who lets him, the book of Job makes a clear representation of how Satan will not actually do anything God tells him not to do. I would agree that instead of thanking the one trying to bring you down with him, you should thank God that what he is doing is only what God allows to happen, and that the devil can only go as far as God will let him, all in order to show us that we are in total need of Him and that He is the almighty and not one being can stand against Him.

Also, not to be a downer, but it is also true that we have all fallen for Satans temptations and deceptions. Not one of us have actually stood against him like we should. It is only by the grace of God that He is lifting us up and letting us try again. I think we should praise the fact that our loving God is actually forgiving us for falling and holding us up when we need it most :3

But it is true that if we are with God, Satan only pushes us closer to Him :3
(He is, in fact, a tool of God in the end, after all)

1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
*5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

I understand your past mistakes and you repented and surrendered it all to the Lord, that is good. But why praying to satan, why don't you give back all the glory and praying to the Lord instead. There's no believer in the bible who prayed to satan. As the bible said " Give no place to the devil for he is like a roaring lion seeking someone that he may devour".

yeah i know.....either poem or prayer or whatever, the point of view of the op is paying attention to satan.

Remember the story of lot and his wife, when they escaped from sodom because God destroyed it by fire, the angels told them to never look back, but his wife disobeyed, and she looked back ,so what happen then? she became a pillar of salt (Gen.19:26). That's what happen when you give place to the devil.

well, if think about that whole story, it seemed none of them really wanted to go. the Angel had to pretty much force them to leave. lot's wife looked back, in my opinion, longing for what was being left behind. this lady was proclaiming victory in Christ. so, I see no " giving place" there.

Yeah ,the poem is about her victorious proclamation but she addressed it to the devil, instead of Christ. If you were in her shoe for instance, you just got saved and your pastor wants you to have the mic in front of congregation to listen your testimony,do you even dare to say this thing in front of everyone that you got saved and giving thanks to satan for all the torments that he gave u and made you realized the truth? LoL how ridiculous.....

bring me a verse in the bible that a believer or an apostle are able to give credits to satan.....

she was not giving credit to satan. it is a POEM. when you read psalms and David says some of the he says, he is not being literal, most poetry is not literal. she is being sarcastic. also saying something on here is not the same as giving testimony.

You put my thoughts into words gb9 - exactly. I've done this myself to a certain person that tried to destroy me and end my life - which would have devastated my family and friends [and just about did] and he knew exactly what I was saying with my "Thank you's" for this and that and the whole of it.

That's how I saw her post - exactly.

Glory to God, precious Sister Rebecca is the victorious daughter of God!

Still, it's not a good idea to dialogue with the devil. First of all, The Word (Luke 10:20) says not to rejoice that you have power over the enemy but that your name is written in the Book of Life. And secondly, even the angels of God don't accuse the devil but only say, "The Lord rebuke you." (Jude 1:9)

Rebecca, no offense my dear sister. I praise God our Father for your great victory and for your gracious liberty in the Lord Jesus Christ! \ :D / Nevertheless, it's best to keep our eyes on Jesus Christ our Savior and Him only.

I like how the Op has a warriors attitude but to thank satan in anyway is challenging him even if you dont mean to. if he hears you thanking him for all he did he is going to step up his game to break you. i have seen what happens when someone is bold enough to challenge satan and it not pretty. Besides thank God because without him you would have the strength to be strong against the devils attacks.
