So this guy at work is trying to dabble in music making by using Audacity. He has Cakewalk Sonar, but doesn't know much about it. He asked me if I could make a beat for him. I told him it was really simple to do himself, all he had to do was get some free loops from online and loop them. It is apparently beyond him.
Dubstep isn't really my thing, but I wasn't kidding about it being really easy, so I thought why not show him? So this morning I got a small pack of dubstep loops. Tonight after church I made a beat in maybe three seconds flat - just dumped them all in my DAW. Then I spent a while messing around with some instruments to put in front of the beats, just a simple two chord, C and F. Took maybe ten minutes to make a track that demoed each loop, all of them together, then each loop looped once with a different virtual instrument in front of it.
Ten minutes, and in a music style I've never fiddled with before. Dubstep really is easy. No wonder so many people do it.

I gotta as, right now is the best I've felt in a while. It's weird, because today was supposed to be Mom's birthday (Jan. 4th). Yes I was sad about that, but usually, physically I'm a lot worse off. Yes, I have been very tired, but I didn't get enough sleep. At least it doesnt feel like a bunch of weights are tied onto me.
Also, Lynx! I think I shall be looking into that free music production program you use. I believe it's called audacity?
I think I know how I can make it work. Now I can do some cooler stuff for you guys! I know how to pay Canon in D, but it's a duet. If I'm able to record both parts then that'll be next on SoundCloud! Theeeennnn maaayyybee you guys will finally hear me sing. I don't really sing a whole lot.

If you do multiple tracks, try to minimize background noise, i.e. fans, air conditioners, etc. Something that is not noticeable in one track will stack up in multiple tracks. Might even put something between the computer and microphone to minimize computer fan noise.

Can you import sounds onto there? Say I have an audio file I already recorded outside of the program, can I import it to that program and use it? Because my computer fan sounds like a leaf blower or a lawn mower in the distance. Very loud. My tablet, however has made wonderful recordings so far, and that's what I used for the last two songs on SoundCloud. And other than that, background noise is minimal.
While the knowledge of nuclear fission and the possibility of fission type weapons existing, was present ever since 1914, at the time of World War 2, only three countries were in active preparation of such a weapon.
The United States, Britain and Canada. The collaboration of these countries in the development of the atomic bomb, under Robert Oppenheimer was termed the Manhattan Project.
Japan did not have capabilities of nuclear weaponry (and still does not), Germany was rumoured to be working on such a project where as the Soviet Union had none either (at that time).
The Manhattan Project was kept secret from the Soviet Union, however their spies provided them vital information enough for them to understand what the Americans were up to.
That led to the Soviet Atomic Bomb Project under Igor Kuchatov.

Conventional thinking has always been that the atomic bomb was necessary for the Allied Powers to win the war and hence cement peace and bring goodwill to many, if you will.
These ideas have pervaded for 70 years.
However accepting any facts or figures, without questioning, or without going into historical documents and versions is unfair for the sake of truth.
This too has been hard, since up till 2009 and even now, much of the data, visual and otherwise have been classified by the USA government.
The American media, on the detonation of the atomic bomb, always showed a mushroom cloud however pictures of the maimed survivors were kept away from public view.
Photographs taken by people were confiscated.
A good question to ask, why was there so much censorship?
How can it be sure it wasn't to swing the sympathy of the public vote in the direction of such a decision?
Also, in the days after the atomic bombings and Japan's surrender, which was almost 10 weeks, the US commissioned the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC).
It's sole purpose was to study the effects of the atomic bomb, including radiation sickness. It offered no help or medical care but only studied the survivors.
The creators of the atomic bomb were well aware of the magnitude of this weapon being a weapon of mass destruction. An unsigned letter to Prof Ryokichi Sagane , from the University of Tokyo was dropped by Luis Alvarez urging him to inform the public about the danger.
Why did the USA not help the survivors , in a benevolent show?
To be sure, though, the Japanese received a very humane treatment at the hands of the USA. Many of them were baffled at the kindness shown by most American soldiers and indeed, the USA handed control back to Japan after occupation and waived payments on Okinawa.
However the dropping of the atomic bomb to solely bring peace, is a matter which is debatable and while accepted by the majority, does not mean it stands for the truth.

In all fairness, some good did come out of all this.
The data and understanding from the usage of these nuclear weapons, helped to form a response towards the Chernobyl disaster, and even recently the Fukushima Disaster.
The horror that has been shown to humanity even in tiny glimpses has been enough for many people to come out strongly against the usage of atomic weapons.
Hopefully this has set an example, of something which should never be repeated.
Moral ethical questions like 200k for 5 M etc can be debated and strung out for inspection, but I am really not interested to do so.
