the fact is the Catholic Church states on their own website that if they wanted to they can ignore the bible completely because of Catholic church tradition. Its pretty hard to get any more anti-christian than that seriously. You know it is my opinion that all who rebel against God must have never read the Old Testament thoroughly because God will be so terrible to the wicked. Its time for reallity to sit in on this fact and for unbelievers to stop and think twice about what they are getting themselves into before it is too late. I say this not to anger anyone but to hopefully reach people who can admit they might have been wrong to deny the God of the bible and who might give God a chance to show them how beautiful He is and how the life He gives us through Christ is so much better than what the world offers.

Which Catholic site did you go to that says that ?

Because I want to know if this is a true site or ramblings. If they did say that then I did not realize just how apostate they really have become.

I think he's talking about vatican.va which has the whole of the documents of the Councils and Catechism.

To see heaven and earth AS God's creation you need faith first, once you have faith you don't NEED proof. Faith comes from hearing the Word of God (Rom. 10:17). God doesn't speak to us through creation, but through His Word. We were discussing the way God reveals Himself to us though, not 'proof of His existence.'

(I tend to forget catholics don't read their bibles, they worship them instead. :rolleyes:)

they told woman their babies had died in childbirth, then sold the babies for great sums of money. (many thousands of times.)

when the authorities offered women free legal help prosecuting the perps, so many priests had sex with women in a town in europe , so many women filed reports that they couldn't handle the cases, and most were dropped for lack of money and manpower to take care of them.

and that is just a drop in the bucket of the depth of the forever wickedness of the rcc based in rome.

"50 years in the church of rome" is rated x by today's standards. (it is the expose of rome from someone from the inside out - even in the confessional the atrocities of what they did was required under oath of death to the priests to keep secret.

so, no, not how apostate they have become, but have been from their beginning. they have shed the blood of the innocent and wantonly and perniciously destroyed souls all along, all over the earth, and God has long ago decreed their judgment, and it is final (there is no repentance for rome; "come OUT of her MY PEOPLE" is God's plain and simple and true Word, for she is absolutely doomed to destruction)

I think it comes down the main problem of protestant theology: private interpretation and primacy of conscious.

The marvels of God's creation still provides proof that he exists. It doesn't conflict with the Bible. It is still nice to see God manifest himself in creation.

This touches on why Catholics cannot engage in biblical discussions. Same words with totally different meanings. Catholics assume the position that no one can prove them wrong so they must be right.

Rome translated the original Greek and Hebrew into Latin. This act introduced a great deal of latitude in interpretation of the original texts. Much of Rome's history and dogma comes from the re-writing of scripture into Latin.

Nothing has changed. As I read through the recent posts all I see is The church, the church, the church where is Christ? The church cannot save only Christ can save. The church Christ established is not an organization but an organism. Nothing could be more evident about Rome that the fact that Rome is a religion. A dead religion that denies Christ at every opportunity.

I feel sorry for the average Catholic who is taught from a young child that the church of Rome is their hope of salvation. I have less compassion for the zealots who continue to promote the false doctrines of Rome.

It cannot be conclusively proven that the Roman Catholic church started before the book of Revelation was written. Nor can it be proven that Rome has any claim to be the church Christ started in the upper room when He breathed upon the disciples the Holy Spirit of God. Rome is famous for making claims that cannot be proven outside of their historical documentation which is quite suspect in and of itself.

Great Schism indeed. Great deception from the diabolical one.

*sigh* You opinion is of more merit than his because you resort to biased documentation? Good luck with that. Only the bible is reliable when determining these matters.

Yet you have no problem with people applying their opinion of what the Bible says, resulting in many protestant denominations and many interpretations, reducing reliability to nothing. I don't cite biased documentation.

It has nothing to do with people thinking for themselves. I've seen and read enough about protestant pastors damning people to hell for thinking for themselves and disagreeing with them within my lifetime.

Well if the Catholic church has a document that says that, and Catholics are taught that fallacy then I would definitely tell you all to start running and find another church. For if your church truthfully believes they can throw the bible out the window, and not go by anything in it then that is very bad teaching.

It isn't any where on vatican.va. My point was when he says "there own website" its the only officially universally dogmatic site of the Catholic Church.

Well I have not been to that site, and I do know the questionable history of the Catholic and Protestant churches, but we must all know that nobody is perfect. What we can however do is if compare what is taught by the church denomination we go to, and then look in scripture and if it contradicts the scriptures that teaching is not from God.

well, actually, hasatan did establish the harlot and her daughters all over the whole wide world. the leaders of all the nations have committed atrocities, idolatries, and total immoralities with it (actually worse than that... but can't say all on a forum where women and children might read it.... over 2,000,000,000 people have lost their souls to it, and , well, it gets worse..... before Yhvh executes His vengeance without any mixture of mercy on the sons of the devil who wantonly, viciously, and willingly and willfully slaughtered innocents over the centuries....
