If you could go in time to the future to see what your life would be like in the future would you want to?if yes what would you want to see or know about happening in your future?If no why not?I think I would want to see what my future would be like to see if it's a good future for me,and to see everything that would happen to me in my future.
 
No I wouldn't want to know. If it were bad we would waste our lives away fretting about what is to come and if it were good we would be wishing a large part of our lives away trying to reach it. There is good reason God ensured we cannot know our future.

That's a very good point madparrotwoman and very true also.
 
I'd like to know if it is good but either way, that is not walking by faith. So I would rather know as it happens.

The only thing I need to know about the future is that Jesus will never leave or forsake me. Since Christ has promised this in the Bible, I don't need to worry.

I would prefer to anticipate each day, each adventure, each joy and suffering first hand, instead of knowing about it before it happens.

Besides, when you reach my age, you are getting pretty close to the end. With all my illnesses and the med side effects, I could die any day. But that does not worry me. I know I will continue to be with Christ, and that is all that really matters!
 
Wowsers, knowing the future. And, if it were bad, some folks would want to begin making changes today to change that bad future. But, how can they be sure that the changes they make today aren't in some way the cause of that bad future. This could turn philosophical rather quickly.

No.. I'd rather carry on without knowing my future.

We are designed to live in the present...because right now is where God wants to be with you.
 
I want to carry on being as I am now, just me. I might be far from perfect, but I am comfortable with myself. When I die I hope I cease to be, I have no interest in any afterlife!

Sadly, despite all your pride and boasting, you will face Christ, judgement and hell!
 
I would definitely want to see future me on the current path I'm going on, because it may either comfort me or shock me into "I need to change my life NOW."
 
I'm going to expand upon what I was saying earlier.

Suppose you built a time machine, traveled 40 years into the future and saw the condition of your future self. Unhappy with this future self, you decided that you weren't going to have any of it. So, you return to the present and make changes.. only to find, 40 years from now, that you ended up in that same condition.

Fast forward. Now, you are 40 years into the future and you are in the same condition which you saw 40 years earlier. Think about that. You traveled into the future, saw your future self, returned and made changes. The condition you are in, after 40 years of knowing the outcome, was the result of the changes you made trying to avert that outcome. Observing the future influenced your actions and those actions were the cause of the end result.

What would have happened had you returned to the present and done nothing?

This was very inappropriate. :(

I think it was C.S. Lewis that said "The present is the point at which time touches eternity," (in one of his correspondence to Sheldon Vanauken).

Short answer: no, I am not open to learning what is to/may be ─ not until it comes to actually pass. :)
