Since I just happen to have a collection of mythological map projections I might as well share another:p No I'm not a nerd

This one is probably the geometrically strongest of the bunch, it's a triangle after all.

Just saw the movie Noah.:(

Here's what the writers of the movie got right:
-Noah's name.
-An ark.
-Animals
-There was a lot of water involved.

They basically had to cover Genesis 1-9 /Mainly 5-9
Granted, not much to go off of.
What they actually covered: ( see list above )
Still?....how can a movie get only 3% of a well known story right?

My 7 year old daughter could retell the story better then they did.

I've seen truth be unknowingly overlooked by a simple misunderstanding of scripture....but wow?........wow.
My best guess is Hollywood said,
"this truth?.....in this Bible book, is not a good enough of a 'script'...... so..... let's make the rest up, if not all of it................but we'll keep the names!!!!"

I will say that Noah looked pretty good for 600 years old....and a lot like Russell Crowe?

Worst movie take on a Bible story that I've ever forced my eyeballs and brain to take in. (They both still hurt.)
Insulting.:(
*Quick summary for the 'pop culture savvy' people: I only say this because this movie is offensive...there's nothing I could possibly say to make it "even more offensive" to Christians.
-Hollywood thought it would be great to cast Jor El from the Man of Steel movie, and have him get his family into an ark, with the help of some Transformers *

Your cartography of the earth is truly crazy, especially the slinky permutation. For some reason I can relate to them. I would be very much interested in seeing your Duncan Yoyo variation of the earth. That would be truly wild.

I wish there was a "Sorta Like" button.:(

There are some posts,..... that as you're reading it, you think.....

"Wow!...they really are nailing this.....oh.....ouch....the landing was a little rough though,
.......so, can I just like 4 out of the 5 paragraphs on this post?"

I know, I know.....I'd probably have 1000 "Sorta Likes" by now?

I agree Ellie.
Although I dislike how Hollywood does it...maybe this is part of the whole "Gospel will be preached to the whole world...."? Hoping?

We know we are told to plant the seed in others.
There are certain missionaries and movies that may be wrong, but they still plant some sort of seed of the Bible's truth in people, I hope? Assuming that this/these things spark an interest in Christ...it is still up to that individual/with our Lord's grace, watching or listening to dig deeper.

We know He can use anything He pleases to wake someone up?
The rest is up to Him.

*I just hope someone watching Noah, doesn't get disappointed because there are no Rock like Transformer thingys to be found in the Bible?
Let's also pray that these type of movies don't do the complete opposite-- and destroy any remaining curiosity in the Bible?

Sorry this all sounded preachy. My bad.

I believe they all influence in both good and bad way, depending if one is elect or not.
Just look at how the Bible influences atheists in a bad way, because they cant read - bless their heart, I'm saying this not in mockery but with tears.

You make it sound like I drew these world art things:) so I feel that I need to say that I didn't draw them. When I was in college I used to go online and find these photos and use them for things like binder covers.

I would love to see a Duncan yoyo map projection. In school I would get bored waiting for classes to start so I started yoyoing in the hallways. I started with one yoyo, then graduated to two, one in each hand.
I had the greatest suprise one time when a 60ish year old man was watching me and then began chatting with me about yoyos. I offered him the yoyos so that he could have a go at them. He slipped the yoyos onto his fingers and then began to do tricks that would put some professionals to shame. It was so awesome.

I think people think Christians think too much?
I think they need to rethink what they think of us?
