Why would someone add you as a friend, message you to thank you for accepting and then swiftly unfriend you? What's that all about? Puzzled!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm sure I've been unfriended, ignored and reported at times. Lol.

Likewise, as you could have asked them directly. :p

To quote a certain rock group: "People are strange when you're a stranger..."

Hopefully you're not down about it!
Haha no I'm not bothered but I am puzzled. I can't even think of anything I might have done to have caused offence!

Maybe he/she took you off because they had too many friends? Or perhaps they felt that they lost touch with you and they decided to take you off because they realized they weren't going to talk to you very much? I have no idea, it's weird. But don't worry, you're a great friend!
I have this happen to me too sometimes.

Its possible they could be shy, or maybe they are going through some weird situation on their own.

They could have friend swings (mood swing version of wanting or not wanting friends lol) like me. I'm really ... awkward ... when it comes to talking to people at times. I have trouble adding certain people or starting conversations with people I've seen around for a long while. I feel that after I've waited too long then it just..is too difficult for me to add them.

I've deleted people off of my friends list before but not because I was trying to be mean. Its cause I've had weird..break down..sort of things that had nothing to do with them at all. Then I felt bad and added most of them back. I've recently tried adding people which was a success at times then a fail at other times.

If that person is anything like me of course they will puzzle you . But its more than likely nothing against you on purpose.

It happened the next day - so not much time to get bored with me haha. :)

Doesn´t it happened sometimes real life?

I have a couple of real friends I have two decades back. They founded me in facebook or in the streets and asked me my phone number but, we´re not the same, we have separated lives and dwellings, and I don´t the things I used to do those days.

Here, online, some of us could have great expectations like "he or she thinks like me" but time tells us we´re all diferent, we´re not the same and, at the long run, "friends" are those you chose, those you feel you like, and som sort of "emptines" or lack of fellowship seems alive.

Here on CC I had a great experience I wish repeated. I was in Prayer Room, someone from Asia appeared and she invited me to pray... What I felt was the most exciting religious experience I ever had.

I hope you can cope -soon- with what you´re feeeling now, online.

Allow me to show you this book!

Here I read some topics that would help you to understand "why" some are like those you see...

One day, feeling depressed, I deleted my entire friends list. It was nothing personal. Perhaps I wanted to start with a clean slate. I'm not sure why I did it as it seemed like a good idea at the time.

If I had the option to remove those friendly buttons from the panel, I would.

Of course, i don´t know how others would feel (and i don't to hurt).

I could write down a brief list of nicknames of those I have liked, but I never met those persons neither knew their names so, this virtuality impersonating a profile makes me feel weird, sometimes, because we´re friends, but we aren´t.

I know I don´t need, personally, a daily greeting, a "hello", because i seldom give that, unless I met people personally and, if I wanted a thing, I´m prone to start giving, to start receiving.

Yes! There´s something weird I don´t understand completely, and perhaps it is a dealing with rejection, "social" acceptance, honesty, mutuality, etc.

Hahaha you have all made me laugh today with your comments. Secularhermit, you should change your name to MadSecularHermitMan - or MiserableGit. ;) Love ya really though lol

Haha it must be a British expression...I'm not saying!

Well, if you are saying is not important, I´m ok but, the time I was with several of your country, at lunch time, i learned the expression "pulling the leg" and, the man who told it, made me feel uncomfortable. He said: "Are you pulling me the leg?..." and I got confused, till the moment i said: "I´m not pulling you the leg" (showing up my hands, out from the table we sat).

:)
