It's 1 am here in the UK and I can't sleep, all I can think about is going back to work Monday. Help
"Begats"? Is this an American word?I believe JesusLives would recommend the "begats" to insomniacs.
glad you got some sleep, MPW. ♥

nooo, begat belongs on your side of the Pond!
from the KJV--
1 Chron 8:33-37
And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal begat Micah.
And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.
And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza, And Moza begat Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:
now...tell me your eyes didn't glaze over just a tiny bit. lol
JL calls them the begats, in typical superior blonde fashion.
that was just part of what i read today, but i read it in the ESV, cos that's the Bible that was handy.
extra bedtime snacks for the lady who missed breakfast! ♥
SoulWeaver, thank you for your concern and you are correct I am often as you describe but not this time, I had been off work and had a 16 day break from it for Christmas. I couldn't get the dread of going back to work off of my mind - the reason sleep wouldn't come. You sound overwhelmed.
Sleep-work-sleep-work... is not life at all. I often take away from sleep time and sacrifice physical well being in order to make more fellowship, creative or fun time. Because I am not a machine to just sleep and manufacture.
Seems you need time to slow down and relax, not just think about what you have to do next.

I hear you you sassylady!I dread every Sunday evening because the new work week starts Monday morning. Therefore I don't sleep well at all Sunday nights.
It can be bad yes. For me though the longer the break the harder it is going back. I'm ok now, often the reality isn't as bad as the thought.Do you have bad environment at work (toxic people there)? That would help explain it.

SoulWeaver, you are an encouragement. Thank you for being who you are. God bless you.We rebuke any remaining fear or dread in Jesus' name. We are to have no fear but His fear. Also asking for His amazing favor among and from the other employees. amen
Oh btw, do savour that non-fleeting fruit of responsibility and integrity for doing what is right, although unpleasant. It will make your day so much better.
Isaiah 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
