I'm not sure why I spelled "gamers" as "game-ers". But if you're reading this you made the right decision by clicking on the thread so please, continue to read!

I'm Chris for those who do not know me. Haven't been that active here lately as my free time has been extremely limited in these past few months. But hopefully I'll be able to have some balance again here pretty soon.

So it's getting cold outside which means a lot of folks will spend more time indoors. I tend to play a lot of games during the winter time since I can't be outside as much. After the duty day is finished and I've hit the gym for a good hour or so I just try to wind down and relax, and maybe play a few games. You may say I am a nerd. And I would have to agree if you were to say as much.

I don't play console games very often. I have a PS3/360. I mainly play PC games such as World of Warcraft, League of Legends, Starcraft, a long list of games on steam... etc, etc. Recently though I've been pretty heavy in World of Warcraft. With the new expansion being out I've had a great deal of my interest in the game reinvigorated.

So for anyone who wants to play with me, and I mean anyone, just send me a message or leave a reply here. If you play something else I didn't talk about then, I'd like to know that too. I'm more curious than anything else to see what the Christian gamer community looks like and what their interests are. So, let me know where you guys are at!

I play order and chaos which is like world of warcraft. It's fun I play it a lot on my kindlefire I also play sims freeplay and some minecraft pocket edition.

Dude! I'm a hardcore world of warcraft gamer myself, it's good to see another christian player. It's hard to find mature/christian players in the game, I mean all you have to do is read the heinous/blasphemous stuff in trade chat :/ If your interested I can give you my battletag and we can play. I'm into mostly pve

I'm only on PC for single player games - everything else PS3/PS4. :cool:

Thinking about buying The Crew soon. It might be the only non-disappointing game of 2014 besides Dragon Age.

I don't really play too many MMOs... I do play ArcheAge from time to time. I mostly use Steam. ;D Got some goodies with the Holiday Sale. Anyways my steam name is OpTiffi Prime.

I'm all over the place with my gaming haha.

I love handhelds since I can game wherever I need to which is pretty handy. Mostly I use the playstation 3 (waiting for ps4 to drop in price) but use my computer to game every once in awhile.

If I had to name a favorite genre it would be RPG or MMORPG :D

I would highly suggest not playing League of Legends...
I played it since 1st season, and became a Christian in the 2nd season of LOL...

Once I became a Christian I noticed how DEMONIC that game is... 90% of the champions are pagan gods, there is accultic symbolism, wards, spells, ect. everywhere you look...

Just a warning... Take any character you want, such as Diana, and research... If you look at the Wiccan gods, you will find nearly every one has been added or will be added...

Usually I don't have a problem with a deity in a movie or game as long as the player isn't forced to adhere to whatever religion the fictional world has. Elder Scrolls is a good example of this, I think. You could play through Skyrim without being "religious." But I see why some people would have an issue participating in a narrative with false faiths. I definitely don't want any part of a game with real-life occultism, though.

See that's what I have a problem with!! I don't like uber violence, horror, demonic junk, magic, sexual crap, zambies, and false religion stuff. So my general radius of available videogames is like 25%. >_<;

IMO, there is a difference between making up a religion as a framework for the story and using a real-life religion or cult. Most video games do not involve the protagonist invoking the name of the devil.

I play pc games (I love steam sales) my gaming rig is a ROG asus g750jm. I also play on a wii u, ps3, 3ds and my iPhone. I love games like: harvest moon, simulation games, assasins creed, banished (PC), pokemon, animal crossing, skyrim, ect. :) I dabble in a bit of everything.

Point is you are pretending to do all these other bad things without thinking twice. Murder is a real thing. Stealing is a real thing. I just find it ironic that people will pretend to do real things, until it gets to religion, then suddenly pretending to do a real thing becomes bad to do.
I am not a big gamer, but i do play WOW. I play all classes. Even warlock. Unless some aspect of a game directly affects you, such as if a sexual element of a game causes you to start having problems with your thoughts, then otherwise why is one bad element out of five bad elements the only one where you stop at?

I play games for the story usually. I have an issue when murder is encouraged and the player has no options to avoid murdering someone. This doesn't automatically mean I won't play the game, because the plot may depend on certain events happening for the protagonist. But a game centered around outright murder - or the murder of someone in real life - I would not play (how many games do this, though?).

Likewise, I have an issue when witchcraft is encouraged and the player has no options to avoid its practice. Occultism that the player is forced to be a part of puts me off from a game (the only game with this that I've seen myself is Diablo) unless it is depicted as the antagonist exclusively. I do think there is a difference between witchcraft and superhuman abilities that games generically call "magic."

At the end of a game, the cliché "moral of the story" should always paint evil in negative light and righteousness in positive light. I'm willing to sit through a dark plot if this is the case. But, if ultimately evil is depicted as being positive, I probably will not play the game at all - the same goes for watching movies and reading books. But this isn't a conviction I impose on anyone else, and I'm not calling it a sin to play Kill-Torture Demons Extravaganza; merely explaining why I personally do not enjoy games like that.

So, basically you're only good with Nintendo titles at this point?

They're been adding nudity to a lot of FPS games recently. It's quite irritating. The violence never bothered me all that much. The nudity just crosses the line though. You can use violence to protect people, but flashing one's junk never saved anyone's life.

If I had the time, I'd love to hit up Far Cry 4. My rig hasn't gotten a work out in three months or so. But far cry 3 was perfect save for the unnecessary expletives (seriously they were used just to use them, they didn't even make sense in context) and the nudie scene. No I did not want to see the crazy priestess lady disrobe. No I did not want it in a cutscene that could not be skipped. No I didn't appreciate breasts in the Cry Engine. Ruined an otherwise perfect game.

Does cell phone gaming count now a days?

My phone gets terrible battery life just browsing the internet. I can't imagine what it would be like with the GPU cranked and all 4 cores grinding. Then again, I have entirely too many location based apps, and bluetooth is an energy drain and a half (and I have a lot of bluetooth crap).

According to the reviews of The Crew, i think your going to be disappointed. I was thinking of getting it, let me know how it is if you do get it, send me a PM :)
