Just got around to some stuff that I should've done ages ago. Good thing about me it seems is that once I start to do stuff like cleaning, I get the motivation and not stop on it and go from one thing to the next. My mother claims that I got that from her, but she's ten times more of a neat freak than I am.

I just bought all my textbooks for $31.00 TOTAL. Five books for thirty-one dollars. I'm a happy camper.

Now, did the guy you bought them from tell you they fell off the back of a truck?

Because I've bought paperback novels that cost almost that much.

There are times when you want to say you go girl, and then there are times when you want to say you rule. But I think this calls for:

So, I accidentally stumbled across what I want my wedding dress to be. It isn't advertised as a wedding dress, but I'd make it one. And it's only $40.

I'm not anywhere close to getting married, and no, I'm not obsessed with it, I just was looking online at some clothes and ran across it and realized I could make it work. Originally I thought "I don't want to spend more than $300 on a wedding dress" and now I've found a white dress that I like for $40.
I want to see!

Just saw a commercial for a dating site for farmers. Their tag line 'Because city folk just don't get it'.
No joke. Real thing.

Sure, won't hurt anything since I'm not getting married. :)

You need to watch the video to get the full effect. I would also tie a dark blue ribbon around the waist and have that trailing down the back a bit, as well, and I want a wreath of small flowers around my head instead of a veil.

Pretty simple.

And I believe that needing to grow in the faith will help my anger. Plus a lack of sleep is not good for the moods.
Sorry that you are sick..blah.
It may. Maturing in any area takes work, and I don't know what you're angry over, but I'll keep you in prayer!

And thanks. :) I usually bounce back fairly quickly.

Okay. Done prepping breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners for the week. Cheating on my protein shakes by buying RTDs...while they are more expensive, they save me the hassle of having to make them each night, which, on symphony weeks, I don't want to do ANYTHING when I get home after 10. They're also lower in calories than the shakes I make (because I buy cheap store brand soy milk...need to buy that 8th Continent stuff to shave an extra 80 kcals off of my shakes).

And, I may NEVER do waffles for breakfast again. That box made 12 waffles! At 4 minutes a pop, plus the minute of removing a waffle to the cooling rack and then measuring the next waffle batter while the iron reheats, it took an hour! Maybe if I buy a second waffle iron...goodness. Although, I DID use the time while the waffles cooked to calculate my precise nutritional intake over the next week will be.

87% RDI total fat
57% RDI saturated fat
90% RDI cholesterol
155% RDI sodium (that's a hard one to keep under 100 at 6 meals a day)
133 grams carbohydrates (almost ketogenic, but definitely not, because waffles)
117% RDI fiber (I cannot stress how important this is)
165 grams protein (I weight 166 lbs currently)
1690 kCals

BOOM. Six meals/snacks, less than 2000 kCals! Those waffles packed a punch, over 400 kCals. But hey, two waffles, an RTD shake, homemade thom kha gai, jerky-almonds-craisins (that was the sodium wallop), RTD shake, and tinned fish with quinoa...I didn't do too bad here.

Although I might fall asleep in symphony rehearsals with that caloric deficit I'm building. MOAR CAFFEINE...Red Bull Zero, GO!

I love that! The material it's made out of is PERFECT. So delicate and feminine. I hope you'll get to wear this one day.

You don't have to be lonely, at farmer's only dot com! Yup... I've seen it too. It just really baffles me. There really is a dating site for everyone out there.

Farmers only? Seems like that would cause inbreeding among the farmers in the country. If they all die off through inbreeding, how are we going to eat? This seems like a bad idea. Not to mention that there are some people who probably want to marry a farmer even if they aren't farmers themselves. Maybe I should start a new dating site: justsaynotoinbreeding.com

i am entirely fascinated by the general misnomer that some have that farmers are dumb. especially considering that it requires far more intelligence in ingenuity to survive and make a living as a farmer?

do you realize that the vast majority of jobs are created by the products generated by farmers and the industries they support?

as someone who grew up exclusively in a rural environment, around farmers and ranchers, if i had to only choose between "city" folk and a farmer/rancher on the basis of what those labels infer, require and represent, i'd pick the farmers and ranchers, every single time.

some of the most admirable people i've known would fall under the "farmer" category. when i think of them and the many farmers and ranchers i've known, i think of these qualities that existed with the majority of them:

+hard working
+a deep appreciation and respect for God's handiwork and creation
+"life hackers" who survive on their ability create and find solutions because their livelihood depends upon it
+simple, not "simple dumb" but simple, as in beautifully uncomplicated
+take a great deal of pride in being part of the community and the value they provide to others
+loyal, dependable, and a good understanding of integrity
+concerned about others, and eager to help their neighbors in need

i dunno. if i found myself inclined to date on a website, i could think of many worse groups to target. : )
