suicide?

I dont like Gods plan for my life, so im going to kill myself and i'll go right to heaven. :)

...um..so its ok to kill ourselves so we can can skip through Gods plan and go right to heaven? then why doesn't the Bible tell us to kill ourselves so we can skip life? Why did he put us on earth if we can just kill ourselves and go strait to heaven? That seems unfair to the christians that have faith in God and dont kill themselves.

And its okay to sin and not repent??

Agree. Also I believe that believing you can NEVER lose salvation is a trap of the enemy.. Because believing that many christians can start to sit down on their beds without caring sharing the Gospel and living for God.

More people have gone to hell because of the Sinner's Pray than almost anything else. People say that prayer and just assume they are going to heaven, but they can do what they want because they have accepted God into their life. Truth be told, sin is against what God wants for us. Murder is a sin, and killing yourself is breaking the bond between you and God. You are basically telling God I don't like the way I am in this situation, and seeing as you won't help me out, I'll just take the selfish way out and kill myself. God did not give us a license to sin, but instead a challenge to live.

This topic comes up a lot I have noticed, i did ask my Pastor about this and my pastor response was there was no scripture that back it up, but what i believe i am not entirely sure truth be told. I do however believe that when are you not saved you do go to Hell it's the same thing for any person that is not saved and just dies in a car accident. But being saved and committing suicide, that's a question i leave for the Lord to know. Again the scripture thing was just someone else opionion as for myself i leave it to the Lord. God bless

We turn from God whenever we sin, but we still have salvation therefore that isn't a good argument. :)

how would you know who went to hell and who didn't? I guess if I was in a car accident and cursed then died God's going to be like aw darn I know I said in my word you'd be saved you sinned now you're going to hell. I'm God so I'm going back on my word.
NO that's not how it works!

a lot of errors are because we tend to think of time in a sequential way when in fact God is outside of time and he has already seen the end from the beginning
our disbelief does not catch him by surprise
anything God does is permanent

How would you know how "it" works? We can turn from God. You still haven't reponded to what I said about it as being a license to sin. Because that is basically what it is. My refrence to more people going to hell from the sinners pray than most other things, was a way of showing a point. Thanks for picking up on that. So let me pose to you a question than. Do you believe that Judas went to heavfen or hell? and why?

Thats not really the way you wanted to answer that is it? The sinners prayer is the salvation of millions of people. I think I know what you wanted to say, but with a statement like that I got a little lost.

How do i know what works? It's not a license to sin because your sins will find you out. When you go to judgment, you will be judged for your sins.

You just said on your last statement that that is not how it works. Well if just asking Jesus into our lives and accepting him as our saviour means that we will end up in heaven, than why are we going to be judged at all? It shouldn't matter if we have sinned or not according to your theory. Btw, you didn't answer if Judas went to heaven or hell?

The conclusion i got from this thread is that i can kill myself and still go to heaven. So whats the point in living? I might as well kill myself. Why wait for our award when we can get it now? :) Sounds like a great idea!

Everyone gets judged Christian or not. How the heck am I supposed to know who went to heaven or hell?

I am just saying though, if accepting Christ is all you have to do to get to heaven, you don't have to live a "good" life, than why do I get judged on judgement day. I have accepted Jesus, I could go out and perform mass Genocide's not ask for forgiveness and go to heaven? Btw, for the third time you didn't answer my question. Did Judas go to heaven or hell?

i believe if a christian commits suicide, they go to heaven. Because as christians we are all covered by the blood of Jesus, and therefore when he died for us he died for ALL our sins, past present and future. His sacrafice was complete. And so it doesnt matter what we do, were still forgiven and He still loves us. If we went to hell it would mean that Christs sacrafice wasnt sufficient for one sin, making Christ inadequate, and Gods love conditional.

And I believe Judas went to hell, but i also believe he was never saved. Because of this verse... 12While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled. John 17:12
