The trinity ("trinitas" adopted from the church father Tertullian) is a biblical doctrine, though the word itself is not in the bible. Theologically considered it is in reference to the fact that in one way God is one, but in another way He is three. His is not a simple oneness, as the Oneness Pentecostals teach but a complex oneness. He is one when we talk about his essence, or essential nature, but he is three when we talk about his consciousness. Manifestation or office is too weak a word and is often used by modalistic monarchians or what used to be known as Sabellians. They taught that God was the father in the Old Testament, the Son in the New Testament and is now the Holy Spirit. For this reason United Pentecostals (Oneness) do not believe you can be born again unless you speak in tongues. Sabellianism is a heresy. It is heretical because it means Jesus engaged in intentional deception when he prayed in the garden to the Father. See: John 17. He was actually praying to himself, since the throne of heaven was empty while he was on earth. Christ lied, and therefore he sinned. Therefore he is not holy.
Moreover, Acts 5 makes it clear that Ananias and Saphirra did not lie to a lampshade, but to God, who is called the Holy Spirit. Since, the Holy Spirit is called God, and Christ is called God (John 1:1; 8:58; 10:30 with Isa. 9:6 and Micah 5:1,2 and obviously the father is god, yet there is one god (Deut, 6:4) there are three consciousnesses (persons) in the godhead. This is not limiting God, since He reveals Himself in this manner. It is no matter limiting God than refusing to call God she. Never is a feminine pronoun used in reference to God, but "Holy Spirit" is neuter and is referred to by another pronoun in the masculine.
Reject the trinity, knowingly, understandingly, intentionally, and you cannot be a Christian. If deity did not die for us, then his life does not have infinite value, nor his death. Therefore his life/death did not propitiate the father for the eternal guilt of the smallest sin, for the smallest sin deserves eternal punishment in hell. If the Holy Spirit is not God then He cannot unite all believers into one body, a relationship that is above time and space. This requires omnipotence, and omniscience, since union with Christ is the guarantee that the body of every believer every where and every time will be resurrected and glorified. Including the bodies of those who have decayed into their constituent atoms. The Holy Spirit knows and has numbered every single atom and molecule that makes up the believers' bodies and will reconstitute and transform it at the day of judgement. This requires omniscience and omnipotence. Yet God is one. Without the trinity the plan of salvation of the one true god, cannot be executed. Therefore the doctrine of the trinity is essential to genuine christianity. Formal heretics simply deny what they do not understand, and could therefore be born again but confused greater. Material heretics do understand orthodox doctrine but reject it outright because of a hatred of the truth.

The Throne of GOD in my opinion, is symbolism from HIS Positional Authority over ALL that is Created.
Within that POSITIONAL AUTHORITY, you do have Positional Subdivisions of Responsibilities.
Obviously, THE FATHER is the SHOT CALLER.
Obviously, THE SON has the responsibility to physically carry out the WILL OF THE FATHER.
Obviously, THE HOLY SPIRIT has the responsibility to enable us to carry out the WILL OF THE FATHER, starting with Believing.
