OK...thanks I was hoping you were going there...

You are however, tip toeing very close to the false doctrine of perfection, because of faith and righteousness.

You mean this doctrine?

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Especially when the Lord Himself said what it means to believe in Him;

Luke 6:46-47

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them.......

Nothing profits but faith working by love...its called the obedience of faith....whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Nothing profits but faith working by love...its called the obedience of faith....whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

So do you know who is working out of faith and who is working out of love? because you make a lot of accusations.

Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

And the Holy Spirit CONVICTS the believer of this truth....

Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

its unbiblical to teach the Holy Spirit is convicting a believer of sin...its false doctrine!

[h=2]1. THE HOLY SPIRIT KNOWS US IN OUR WEAKNESS[/h]The Holy Spirit not only knows us, but he helps us in our weakness (Rom. 8:26). He helps us do things that we cannot do in our own strength. If it glorifies Jesus and is about his people and the church, the Holy Spirit wants us to be about that, and he will work in and through our weakness.
[h=2]2. THE HOLY SPIRIT TEACHES US[/h]The Holy Spirit works through Scripture and people to change our hearts (John 14:26; Rom. 8:14; 1 Cor. 2:6–14). When we struggle with a passage of the Bible, the Holy Spirit will teach us what it means and how it can be applied in our lives. Oftentimes, that teaching comes through people via a pastor’s sermon (Rom. 10:14–16), a close friend, or our spouse.
[h=2]3. THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKS THROUGH PRAYER[/h]The Holy Spirit will intercede for us through prayer (Rom. 8:26). He will especially intercede when we’re focused on glorifying Christ and loving his people. If you don’t know what to pray, ask the Holy Spirit for help. After all, he is “the Helper” who will help those who love him. Oftentimes, God uses our prayers to change our hearts more than the hearts of others, to conform us to be more like him.
[h=2]4. THE HOLY SPIRIT REVEALS JESUS’ PURPOSE FOR US[/h]God gives good gifts. He gave us Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins. He gave us the Holy Spirit. He also gave us instruction in the Bible for living this life (2 Tim. 3:16–17).
I believe 95 percent of our life’s purpose is readily found in the Bible. The purpose of our life is to glorify Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and to love people. The Holy Spirit will reveal the finer details of our purpose, such as where we will work, whom we will marry, and where we will live, as we study the Bible and walk in faith.
[h=2]5. THE HOLY SPIRIT CONVICTS US OF SIN[/h]John 15:8–11 teaches us that the Holy Spirit convicts us of sin to conform us to Jesus’ likeness. As we lean more on the Holy Spirit, sin becomes more apparent in our lives (Gal. 5:16, 18). This allows us to repent and seek change in Christ so that we can become more like Jesus.

If you’re a believer, the Holy Spirit lives in you. Open yourself up to the power of the Holy Spirit. He’s a good friend, and I don’t know what I would do without him. Jesus calls him the Helper for good reason. It’s certainly to our advantage that he is in our lives, but ultimately to glorify Jesus was why he was sent to us (John 15:26-27).

And the Holy Spirit CONVICTS the believer of this truth....

Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

its unbiblical to teach the Holy Spirit is convicting a believer of sin...its false doctrine!

So if you sin does the Spirit tell you its wrong or does the spirit tell you its ok?

Hebrews 12:3-11, "For consider Him Who endured such opposition against Himself from sinners, so that you would not become weary, and faint in your minds. You yourselves have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as unto sons: My son, do not despise the chastening of Yahweh, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom Yahweh loves, He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. If you endure chastening, Yahweh deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all are partakers, then you are bastards and not sons. Furthermore, we have had fleshly fathers who corrected us, and we gave them reverence; should we not even more be subject to Father Yahweh, and live? For they truly chastened us for a few days as they thought best; but He, for our profit, that we might be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful at the present time, but grievous; nevertheless, afterward it produces the peaceable fruit of righteousness, that is, for those who have been trained by it"

THE KING IS COMING!!!!!!

Revelation 19:13-15:, "And He was wrapped in a tallit dipped in blood, and the Name of Him is called: Yahshua--The Salvation of Yahweh. And the armies in heaven clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him upon white horses, And out of His mouth goes a sharp, two-edged sword, that with it He should strike the nations; and He will rule over them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty Yahweh."

I love you K!

Believe the bible not mans religon...I have already explained these points over and again...If anyone besides Hiz or Kenneth has a point to make in scripture , I will be glad to answer that but these guys post the same 5 scriptures over and over and change the words on occasion.... We have a conscience to tell us when we sin...we have the Word of God to judge the thoughts and intentions of our hearts....but its the Holy Spirit that assures us we are children of God.

1Jo 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

Paul warned us of those that would teach and bring a different spirit.....

Now is clear that the Holy Spirit is not the spirit that accuses us ...but the very name "satan" means the "accuser"...Some have turn the Comforter in the accuser..

1Jo 4:1 ¶ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:

1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Its the Holy spirit that teaches us the things are FREELY given to us....not that we are sinners or have to "earn" the things of God.

a hard stance on this issue is nothing but dogma...one has to also understand that a believer who has been drawn away by their own lust and sins .....still belongs to Christ...and Christ is making intercession for him...the issue here is words....is it right to call one who is drawn away and sin a believer ...or do we call him a sinner...Christ says we call him a brother...because he has already been bought with a price...only if that person dies in that position of sin they are lost....as long as they are alive Christ is at the door knocking....so the point is Mitspa if you sin the HS sees you as an unbeliever so that you may be convicted.... we as brother see you as a believer because we are brothers in Christ and if we condemn you we condemn ourselves....so technically you are right...but it is not false doctrine because it is believers who are drawn away and sin...

Well how can someone walk in the truth when they have been taught a lie....How can a believer walk in the Spirit when He has been made the accuser and not the Comforter...
Some of you try to put the cart before the horse...without sound doctrine, no one can live a godly life.....Believers act wrong when they believe wrong.

Your question was

"HOLY SPIRIT CONVICTS OF WHAT?"

Again?

Joh 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Joh 16:8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

If your question was worded different I think you would have the ability to speak down as you do, I see it as false premise to promote your doctrine of licentiousness....

For you wont even speak upon many verse in the "NT" that you can't twist and either ignore them or say;

Believe the bible not mans religon...I have already explained these points over and again...If anyone besides Hiz or Kenneth has a point to make in scripture , I will be glad to answer that but these guys post the same 5 scriptures over and over and change the words on occasion.... 1Jo 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

Yahdah 1:4, "For there are certain men who have secretly crept in, who were before of old ordained for this condemnation, unholy men, who turn the undeserved pardon of our One Supreme Savior Yahweh into licentiousness, and deny Yahshua our Messiah."

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means!How can we who died to sin still live in it?"

Romans 7:7 What? Can anyone therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet.
25 Thanks be to Yahweh, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of Yahweh, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin.

Romans 8:2 Because through Yahshua Messiah, the Law of the Spirit has set me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 7:14 For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I was carnal, sold into the power of sin

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

1 Yahchanan 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Just because we have mercy does not mean we throw all Instructions in the Law of Yahweh in the trash.

Hebrews 10:26-31, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Those who rejected the Law given through Mosheh died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished, who has trampled the Son of Yahweh underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant (with which He was sanctified) an unholy thing, and who has insulted the Spirit of mercy? For we know Him Who has said: Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says Yahweh. And again: Yahweh will judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Father."

The world of sin because they do not believer... are you in the world or are you a believer?

who has made the HS the accuser??? the issue is whether the HS convicts a believer or not....I am saying even if a believer is drawn away from Christ they still belong to Christ......and they because of sin is outside of Christ ....It is the HS in them that will be telling them "don't sin follow me" that is the comforter working not the accuser.............you are insinuating that God does not chasten...those whom he loves....the comforter guides us into truth...if you hire a guide to take you on a trail and you decide to go off on a dangerous path....he tells you don't go there....is he accusing you??? you are taking misused words to accuse people of false doctrine...almost everyone agree that are technically right....now you are off on a tangent to make everyone a heretic...

believers act wrong when they follow the flesh
if ye be led of the spirit you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh

Believers act like sinners because they don't know who they are in Christ...legalism ...the law is the strength of sin. The reason so many Christians act so contrary to Christ is because they have been taught all this nonsense about being under the law and the Holy Spirit is accusing them of sin....The FRIUTS of the Spirit ...are how we overcome the flesh. False doctrine is what makes believers slaves to sin.

The world of sin because they do not believer... are you in the world or are you a believer?

What was your question if the thread? I see you try hard to paint me in a negative way.

[h=2]Re: HOLY SPIRIT CONVICTS OF WHAT?[/h]and here I will post this again for you, a third time, I got 2 more to go!

Ok this is a forum for "believers"...its called Christian Chat. And its true the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, because they do not believe...

Thank you Hiz for pointing that out :)

I seen a thread asking "who is the very elect" ...didn't want to get into the middle of the discussion I saw there but here is how you know...If you see someone walking in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit...you know they are the very Elect of God :)

Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

A "believer" who acts a sinner???
A believer does not act like a sinner....it is either he sinned or did not sin....a believer who is drawn away from Christ by his own lust and sins will be condemned by the law if he stays in that position if he repent and confess he will be forgiven....while in that position that person still belongs to Christ...the HS is still in them ...Grieving... but there ...telling them to return to the Master...there are only two places a man can be ...it is either in Christ or under the law of sin....God concluded all under sin....you cannot be in Christ and commit sin....it is impossible...if you sin it means you were already drawn away from Christ....
