You guys are not answering my hypothetical question. And you wouldn't respond to the scriptures I posted in my other thread. That means you are either closed minded or too lazy to search for Gods truth.

It comes down to being ignorant of words at the end of the day....the following definitions from their bible are...
eternal=temporary
everlasting=temporary
free=must work
grace=earned
sealed=broken
written=erased
Faith Of Christ=MY FAITH
In Father's hand and Christ's hand=In my OWN hand and power
What God does is eternal=God cannot do anything eternal
And on and on and on.............!

i do understand that this is an important subject but imho this thread was a bad idea. This subject is debated exhaustively having many many threads of the subject and not one ever turns out good. Kaycie if you are looking for answers you may not find it here in the end this all boils down to what we think and believe not what the scriptures say. i suggest doing a personal study with an open mind and heart because if you firmly believe in osas that is all u will see in the scriptures you have to be willing to accept you are wrong and read the bible as if you know nothing standing in neither side or your thinking and belief will blind you.

They are God's words against the false doctrine OSAS, so that is me allowing Him to control me- not the other way around. And please don't get angry, you don't have to agree with what I say, and if you don't agree with what God says that's between you and Him.

Those mentioned in Matthew 7:21-23 thought they were saved but continued to do what ever they wanted, and live however they wanted. As you can tell by verse 23 where it says they still practiced lawlessness/iniquity/sins.
Because human life is not immortal, it can cease
Well, actually we are born again by the Spirit, into immortal eternal life. . .which cannot die or cease.
Spiritual life is immortal, physical life is not.
But this is not the Biblical teaching of the eternal security of salvation.
God will chastise his born-again child until he returns to obedience, or he will take his life for the sake of his spirit.

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

I would tell them to make their calling and election sure by working out the salvation God has worked within.

Yes He will, but does that mean our free will has been taken away to chose an accept that chastening or not.
I know plenty who take the chastising, and then turn around and do the same bad things again. This shows the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, as in those who deny His guidance and help to lead them down the proper path.....
I have met plenty who believe in OSAS, and think because of that they can live and do whatever they want. They say no matter what they do it can not be imputed on them, as they forget it still has to be confessed to be given that remission from Him.

I am not getting angry I am getting discouraged at the disregard of who God is. We could take snippets from the Bible to make just about anything want to believe true. Regarding this topic have a look at a couple passages of Scripture on the attributes of God. (Sorry I apologize for not writing them out but I am using my phone so just read them). Mal 3:6, Ex 3:14, James 1:17, Is 40:6-8, 1 Chronicles 28:9, Is 65:24, Mat 6:8, 1Cor 3:20, 1 John 3:20, Is 46:10, Dan 4:35, Eph 1:11, Ps 135:6, Is 45:9.
2 Tim 2:19 I will quote "The foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His."

The sow washing itself is symbolism for a Christian who has been cleansed of their past sins, and then after receiving that cleansing return to walking in their sins again..........
