You guys are not answering my hypothetical question. And you wouldn't respond to the scriptures I posted in my other thread. That means you are either closed minded or too lazy to search for Gods truth.
Yep. . . . . . .IMO, Elin is correct ...
IF God carefully chooses with foreknowledge who He will "make" born-again!
He knows the end from the beginning.
He knows peoples' hearts.
He knows everything.
He CAN know that everyone He chooses to be born-again WILL make it through!
IF this is the case, then we can say that no one can be unborn.
IF this is the case, then all of the warnings are just to help the chosen.
IF ...
Hmm I believe by having a look at who God truly is by actually studying His attributes will reveal much. If anyone disregards His Incommutable attributes in any way then they disregard God as God.
Unbelief. . .so you can be born again, reject and turn away from our Lord for the rest of your life, die yet be born again? whats the un forgivable sin?
I see a lot of opinions as I went through this post, but very little scripture usage.
We should let the bible which is the words of God speak for themselves, as here is a couple from Hebrews;
Hebrews 3:12-14
Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,
See this.and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
OK God revolves all around you. Nice have fun controlling God.
i do understand that this is an important subject but imho this thread was a bad idea. This subject is debated exhaustively having many many threads of the subject and not one ever turns out good. Kaycie if you are looking for answers you may not find it here in the end this all boils down to what we think and believe not what the scriptures say. i suggest doing a personal study with an open mind and heart because if you firmly believe in osas that is all u will see in the scriptures you have to be willing to accept you are wrong and read the bible as if you know nothing standing in neither side or your thinking and belief will blind you.
Of course if its a debate you want then you got it:]
Did those in Mt 7:21-23 share in the Holy Spirit?
See this.
Because human life is not immortal, it can ceaseone is born into life and when life is separated from the body we say he is dead we do not say he is unborn....
Well, actually we are born again by the Spirit, into immortal eternal life. . .which cannot die or cease.likewise if someone is
born again in the spirit (saved)if they do not obey(follow) the spirit we do not say they are unborn...they are returned to their former state (unsaved)or spiritually dead....
But this is not the Biblical teaching of the eternal security of salvation. This does apply to the OSAS debate, because those who believe this no matter what they do they can not lose salvation.
I would tell them to make their calling and election sure by working out the salvation God has worked within.if someone came to me and asked me this cause they were worried about it, i would tell them the very fact that you are worried tells me your heart is guiding you in the correct direction so dont worry about it.

God will chastise his born-again child until he returns to obedience, or he will take his life for the sake of his spirit.

in the end this all boils down to what we think
They are God's words against the false doctrine OSAS, so that is me allowing Him to control me- not the other way around. And please don't get angry, you don't have to agree with what I say, and if you don't agree with what God says that's between you and Him.
I don't think you answered my question. Those mentioned in Matthew 7:21-23 thought they were saved but continued to do what ever they wanted, and live however they wanted. As you can tell by verse 23 where it says they still practiced lawlessness/iniquity/sins.Elin said:
