Christ overcame sin and death on the Cross bro ...grace is not now going to overcome sin...why do you give the impression that we now have to overcome sin by grace...Christians have the choice to follow the Spirit which is in them or follow the flesh.....if you follow the Spirit you will not sin...and thus live....if you follow the flesh ...you will sin and thus die....one who sins is clearly not following the Spirit and therefore not in Christ...so the HS can convict that one because he is guilty of sin...The HS however cannot convict one who is following the Spirit of Christ and have not sinned.....there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ
That's my point you reject the clear witness of Gods Word... Its only grace that overcomes sin...how can I teach you the truth and set you free ,if you reject the clear and evident truths of the bible?

I have another question for you Mitspa, and that is in your profile it says you were saved in 2000......

So in these past 13+ years to today, you have never once told a lie, lusted in your heart, showed hatred toward another, no forgiveness to others, and so on ???

Its not the point...I answer to God and live the biblical standard that I preach in the love of God and abound in good works by the grace of God.... God gets the glory...not me :)

lol.

Yahchanan (John) 14:26, "But the Comforter--the Holy Spirit which Yahweh will send in My Name will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I (Yahshua/Jesus) have said to you."

John 6:63, "It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The Words (Instructions) that I (Yahshua/Jesus) speak to you, they are Spirit, and they are life everlasting."

That is the point, because by being under Christ means that you are to abstain from doing those things.
If you have not abstained from doing those things, what did you do about it after you committed them? Did you repent or confess them? Because that is part of the standard of living and walking in love under God's grace, through which one is give remission of their sins by the Lord's blood to forgive and cover them so that they can no longer be imputed on you ever again......

[h=1]Romans 13:9-11[/h]9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

( Paul says in verses 9-11 that if you walk in love you will obey the all the other commandments of God, and those given by the Lord in the gospel books........)

[h=1]Romans 13:12-14[/h]
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

By Gods grace Im am a slave to righteousness and not to sin... to God be the glory! :) The point is that the its the Holy Spirit that has lifted me into this place by the conviction of righteousness...not this false teaching of conviction of sins....Its the truth that's set us free not all this guilt, dead works and legalism that only enslaves people to sin.

Its really sad the Holy Spirit has been turned into the accuser which is what (satan) means...No where in the bible does it teach that the Holy Spirit convicts a BELIEVER of sin...but the world of sin, because they do not believe and the believer of righteousness.

This doctrine has tuned the comforter into the accuser .. it is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more

Yeremyah 31:33, "...After those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; minds, and I will be their Father, and they will be My people."

According to the original language it is the TORAH that would be written on the hearts of the ones partaking of the covenant ratified in Yahshua's blood.

The word LAW is word #8451 = Torah
Torah: direction, instruction, law
Original Word: תּוֹרָה
Part of Speech: Noun Feminine
Transliteration: Torah
Phonetic Spelling: (To-raw')
Short Definition: law

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them."

Ezekiyl 36:26-28, "A new heart; mind, will I also give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments, and do them. And you will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you will be My people, and I will be your Father."

Hebrews 10:26-31, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Those who rejected the Law given through Mosheh died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished, who has trampled the Son of Yahweh underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant (with which He was sanctified) an unholy thing, and who has insulted the Spirit of mercy? For we know Him Who has said: Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says Yahweh. And again: Yahweh will judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Father."

[h=2]ac·cuse[/h] verb \ə-ˈkyüz\ : to blame (someone) for something wrong or illegal : to say that someone is guilty of a fault or crime

ac·cusedac·cus·ing

[h=2]Full Definition of ACCUSE[/h]transitive verb
1
: to charge with a fault or offense : blame

2
: to charge with an offense judicially or by a public process

[h=2]con·vic·tion[/h] noun \kən-ˈvik-shən\ law : the act of proving that a person is guilty of a crime in a court of law
: a strong belief or opinion
: the feeling of being sure that what you believe or say is true

[h=2]Full Definition of CONVICTION[/h]1
: the act or process of finding a person guilty of a crime especially in a court of law

2
a : the act of convincing a person of error or of compelling the admission of a truth
b : the state of being convinced of error or compelled to admit the truth

3
a : a strong persuasion or belief
b : the state of being convinced

You are confounding the meaning of accuse with that of conviction in the scriptures in order to conjure a false gospel. The Devil accuses to condemn. the Holy Spirit convicts to bring about sorrowful and Godly repentance unto salvation. This is what is sad, false conjecture to support one who is not rightly dividing the word of God. You are calling the accusations of the Devil against God's own, and the Holy Spirit's conviction of sin unto repentance and salvation the same thing. Careful brother, this is border line blasphemy, if not straight up blasphemy.

2Cor 7:8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. 9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Lu 24:5 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Saved sinners are still sinners. The work of sanctification continues in their lives always, and they will be convicted of sin in order to seek forgiveness and repentance during the same. One who says they have no sin, and need no forgiveness is a liar and the truth is not in them.

1Jo 1:8 ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
2:1 ¶ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 ¶ And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Why will you equate the conviction of the Holy Spirit of God toward repentance and salvation with the condemning accusations of the Devil? Please stop doing this, it is a danger to one's soul.

So then do you still deny how Paul is saying there in Romans 13 that by walking in love you will keep the 10 Commandments as well as everything else the Lord said in the gospel books ???

still deny? I have posted again and again and again that the ONLY way to keep what the law demanded is through love and the Spirit...not by looking to the written code of the law....

Everybody who has read my post ...knows this! If you just heard what I have been saying...good! lets work from this truth and set you and others free from this nonsense that legalism actually produces godliness.

What point do you think your making? Its those who make the Holy Spirit into the accuser that are teaching a lie and subverting the souls of the believers. It don't matter how you define the word...its not biblical nor is it true! You cannot find it in the bible ...in fact what you find is the EXACT opposite...you should repent and believe the truth of Gods Word.

That is not true because many of us have been debating with you in other posts as well about this issue, because any time the 10 Commandments was brought up you said they were done away with and we are not to keep them. Now you are trying to say you never said that !!! It is amazing how deny the whole time in the Law and Grace blog how you constantly were adamant about the 10 commandments were done away with.......
And when ever I mentioned how Paul still upheld them, you denied it and kept posting the scripture of the laws written in stone was done away with. Then I would have to show you how only in the written ordinance was they done away with. Not in the moral aspect of God, that is written in our hearts to follow and obey with the Holy Spirit keeping us to do so....

John 16:9 Spirit convicts of sin because they believe not INTO Jesus (the greek word there is "eis", translated, Into).

The point he was making, and did a better job then I did, was to show you the big difference between accussing and convicting. Which you seem to not be able to differ between the two....

Just because you cant understand the truth don't mean I have not been speaking it...that was my point earlier that I spent hours and hours trying to get you to see that we are under love and not the written code of Moses...you wont listen and think your in a position to teach others when you clearly are unwilling to believe what the bible clearly says....I cant help you see the truth if you reject the clear and evident words of the bible.

Exodus 20:6, "But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws."

Mattithyah 24:12, "And because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold."

"iniquity" is:#0458 anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} from G0459

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
1) the condition of without law
1a) because ignorant of it
1b) because of violating it
2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

Romans 13:9, "For the commandments: You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bring false testimony, You shall not covet, and all other commandments are briefly summed up in these Laws; namely: You must love your neighbor as yourself."

2 Timothy 3:5, "Having a form of holiness, but denying the authority of it--from such turn away!"

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood."

That's my point you reject the clear witness of Gods Word... Its only grace that overcomes sin...how can I teach you the truth and set you free ,if you reject the clear and evident truths of the bible?

are you saying that Christ did not overcome sin and death on the cross?...this is a yes or no question please answer..
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

There you go with the written code of Moses again, as did I say anything about that ? NO !!!

You must understand there is a big difference in the written ordinances of the Mosaic laws, and the moral laws contained within the 10 Commandments that is written in our hearts. You have a hard time separating the moral 10 from the rest of the 613 written Mosaic ordinances. Then you call others unwilling to believe or understand the truth.
I understand just fine the truth, that through love for the Lord we will keep and obey all that He said in the 10 Commandments and the gospel books. Not doing away with none of it, as they still apply in our walk in the Spirit.
You want to say others are not worthy to teach, when you yourself have been caught and called out in misunderstanding of scripture by a multitude of people. In which instead of accepting where you were wrong at, you dodge others showing you by beating around the issue or just posting a handful of same scriptures taken out of context........

how can you say Christ saved you from sin and death and in the same breath say you are not saved because you are still a sinner...what just happen did I miss something...I was of the view that Christ saved us from sin , forgave us and made us a new creature...did he make me a new creature preloaded with sin or free from sin??? when Christ saved you he cleaned you up and placed you in himself...you were without sin...he gives you everything you need to live godly and if you sin he mediates for you and forgives you...what is your excuse to say you are a sinner?
Why will you equate the conviction of the Holy Spirit of God toward repentance and salvation with the condemning accusations of the Devil? Please stop doing this, it is a danger to one's soul.
this is a no brainer...if one is in Christ where there can be no sin ..there can be no conviction or accusation....if however one falls away from Christ and sin the HS has all rights to convict..why ...(1) because they belong to Christ...(2)because they are guilty...same as an unbeliever...if they repent they are forgiven...if the don't they are in danger of hell fire....
