So many heretics, so little time...
First of all, in a previous post on this very thread, I said:

Secondly, in the post of mine that you were actually addressing with your response, I said:

With such being the case, there are more than enough things on my list WHICH IS REALLY THE LIST THAT WE'RE GIVEN IN REVELATION CHAPTER 18 by which the merchants can be "made rich" AND THEY ALL PERTAIN TO THINGS, PEOPLE AND ANIMALS WHICH/WHO ARE NEEDED FOR TEMPLE SACRIFICE/MAINTENANCE/ETC. That's reality...whether you like it or not.
Who said that Jerusalem itself has to be a sea port? You? There are sea ports in Israel which can then transfer goods to Jerusalem. Here's a map of the same:
WPS - Map of ports in Israel
Even Solomon had things which were used in the temple in his day imported to him by ship (I Kings chapter 10, II Chronicles chapter 9).
Thanks for proving MY POINT.
Yes, ironically, you've only managed to prove what I said earlier, namely this:

IOW, by failing to recognize that many of these New Testament references to "Mystery Babylon" are citations from the Old Testament in regards to actual Babylon, you've failed to grasp the actual meaning and intent of said passages. For example, in relation to actual Babylon, we read:
"Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence. Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies." (Jeremiah 51:6-9)
Here, we read of the following in relation to actual Babylon:
1. Her inhabitants are being told to flee lest they be cut off in her iniquity.
2. The nations have drunken of her wine and are mad.
3. She is suddenly fallen and destroyed.
4. Her judgment reaches unto heaven.
Now, compare the above to what we read in relation to "Mystery Babylon":
"And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double." (Revelation 18:1-6)
Do you see the DELIBERATE similarities?
1. Her inhabitants are being told to come out of her or to flee that they be not partakers of her sins or be cut off in her iniquity.
2. All nations have drunken of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
3. She is suddenly fallen and destroyed.
4. Her sins have reached unto heaven and she is being judged.
Again, JERUSALEM (unless you believe that Jesus was crucified in Saudi Arabia...you don't, do you?) had previously been spiritually called both Sodom and Egypt (Revelation 11:8) and she is here being spiritually called "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (Revelation 17:5). Did you catch that "
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS" thing? You need to. IOW, this "great city", which I've already shown to be JERUSALEM and none other, is not only a "harlot" (and she was repeatedly referred to as being such by God all throughout her history), but she is also "
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS" in that she gave birth, so to speak, to all of the other "harlots" who followed after her whorish ways. Now, you, on the other hand, would have me/us to believe that somehow Saudi Arabia is "
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS" but she is not. Deal with it...and stop promoting HERESY.
Anyhow, here are some more similarities between actual Babylon and "Mystery Babylon":
"So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon. And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words; Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah." (Jeremiah 51:60-64)
In relation to actual Babylon, we read the following:
1. None shall remain in it, but is shall be desolate forever.
2. A stone was symbolically attached to Babylon that it should sink and not rise from the evil that God would bring against her.
Before noting these similarities between actual Babylon and "Mystery Babylon", I have a question for you:
Has actual Babylon ever been inhabited again?
I trust that you won't mind if I answer my own question. Of course, it has been inhabited again...
http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/04/world/...bylon-tourism/
...and you need to keep this reality in mind to properly understand the comparison between actual Babylon and "Mystery Babylon". In relation to the latter, we read:
"And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all." (Revelation 18:21)
Again, notice the DELIBERATE similarities:
1. Babylon shall be found no more at all.
2. A giant millstone was symbolically attached to "Mystery Babylon" and it was cast into the sea.
Well, if you can recognize that actual Babylon still exists today even though it had "fallen", then you should also be able to recognize that "MYSTERY BABYLON" can still exist even after it has "fallen". In relation to both actual Babylon and "Mystery Babylon", the commandment came forth from God to "flee from her". Where, then, do we see such commandments given in the New Testament and in relation to what people/city are they given? Well, there's really no need to guess. No, we read:
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand): Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:" (Matthew 24:15-16)
"The holy place", as we both know, is the temple which will be situated in JERUSALEM. Yes, those in Judaea or Judah, which is where JERUSALEM is, were instructed to "flee into the mountains" when they see the coming (it hasn't come yet, despite the beliefs of many) "abomination of desolation" which was "spoken of by Daniel the prophet". Along these same lines, we read:
"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Revelation 12:12-17)
Yes, the day is rapidly approaching when "the dragon", Satan, in the person of the antichrist, will "persecute THE WOMAN which brought forth the man child". Now, of course, we both know that this "woman" relates to the nation of Israel, so why would you have me to believe that it relates to Saudi Arabia? Again, it's total non-Biblical nonsense.
Out of curiosity, you're not a disciple of the FRAUD (easily proven) and HERETIC (ditto) Walid Shoebat, are you? After all, your heresies sound a lot like his...
