Do you know as russians are used to call Moscow during last 400 years???? As THIRD ROME = They use such definition from times of John the Terrible.

But why you suppose Russia is not the the New Babylon Empair upon the fact that New Babylon City is to be destroyed (while russia is Magog)???

Do not you know that Moscow (great city) is only relatively small territory (like Canadian Calgary) on face of really biggest country in the world????

Do not you see also that Rome in Italy is not at all a centre of Greatest Country????

Russia is by far the greatest country in the world, maybe in Russians eyes, but as seen by the world.
China is well more economically better, and most around the world still see the U.S. as the greatest and strongest country of the world. This is one of the reasons that the U.S. is so hated, yet countries are afraid to step up against us because of easily we could wipe them out. The only one who has the guts to stand up against us right now is Russia, but even they without help would faulter which is why the cold war never went any where.
Biggest country does not mean greatest, as most of that land is unoccupied. I don't really care how Russians think or call their cities, as this has to be seen from around the world as such. Which they are not !!! How can Russia and Babylon be one and the same, when Magog exists well after Babylon is destroyed ???
Russia being destroyed would not put a hamper on the economy, and the trade market as nobody is getting rich off of Russia.

In order for the place to be Babylon it has to fit every single description the bible gives for it, and there are many throughout the OT prophecies and Revelation. Russia/Moscow does not fit them all....Russia/Jerusalem does not fit them all.....and the Vatican does not fit either as not one of them is a major sea port city. Which is one description that has to fit, and none of those do.

Why all this focus on who is the CURRENT economic superpower?
The city of Babylon in Revelation is only an economic superpower in the last 7 years. It is a present spiritual superpower up til that point! It is a spirit that possesses whole nations! Until the son of perdition is revealed, the location of Babylon is scattered.
Until the Tribulation, the location is not centralized. Just as God is to place all things under Christ, Satan will try to place all things under his antichrist. Just as Christ will gather His People, so the antichrist will gather the nations to himself in his unholy city, to then wage war on the Saints.

It is not Jerusalem though as the antichrist does not destroy Jerusalem, so that is one biblical fact that does not fit.
The next is the fact that the bible says that the Jews will come back to realize Jesus as their Messiah when He returns. Showing Jerusalem still standing, and this is also where the Lord rules during the millennial reign. You have to have all the pieces of the puzzle to fit, and this also goes to say that Jerusalem also is not a major sea port city. Rome and the Vatican does not fit either because neither is the Vatican a major sea port city. New York is a major sea port city, however the U.S. has tons of its own resources and does not have to import much. The only place that has to import almost all of its goods is Saudi Arabia, the home of the biggest oil supply of the world. And the capital city Mecca which stands for mother. And as you can see by the following map that there is a lot of land between the sea and Jerusalem. "He shall plant the tabernacles of his palace BETWEEN THE SEAS", PLURAL, "IN THE GLORIOUS HOLY MOUNTAIN".

Now, look at your map again and see if you can spot TWO SEAS (pssssttttttt...the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea) and then see if you can find "THE GLORIOUS HOLY MOUNTAIN" somewhere "BETWEEN THE SEAS".

Where would you even get that from? The city will be in ashes, and He will raise it up.

After watching that video posted in the conspiracy thread, it seems very likely to me the new babylon will be Mecca.

Its even located right where the bible says it would be. I never even considered it until that video. My only issue is that the bible does say that the Jews will have been exiled there. I dont think that fits Mecca.
And it also makes the idea of Israel kinda odd. The bible does tell the Jews of that time to flee the city and head to Mt Zion.

All the clues given are to identify the spirit of Babylon, not the physical!
