As a man I can attest that men have some quite intelligent and insightful conversations when women aren't around. We just play dumb when they're are around so they won't know we're intelligent. If women knew we were smart they would ask us to do more. ;)

My aunt can go from soprano to baritone. She's not quite Sandi Patti, but close enough for our small town. As for talking deep, it's not as cool as you think. It's harder to make yourself heard in a crowd. I have no idea about the beard, but I've heard it only itches for the first month while it's growing out, then it doesn't itch any more.

One thing I've wondered for some time - why do I not see more women playing strings? I see a lot of bands with guys playing guitar while women do the vocals. If a woman is on an instrument it's usually a keyboard. Yes I know there are exceptions - lil_christian for one - but usually I see guys playing the guitar. Is this a modern stereotype or is there something about a guitar that women don't like?
Messes our fingernails up.....lol

Lower pitched notes tend to propagate through things, so that means a person with a deep voice would be heard more clearly by people in a different room. Lower pitches also travel longer distances, so if a deep voiced person was yelling to someone far away, that person would have to exert less effort to be heard than a person with a higher pitched voice. Lower pitches also create larger pressure waves, which is the reason why subwoofers seem to vibrate everything around them. Thus having a deeper voice would mean that your throat and head would vibrate more than if you had a higher pitch voice.:)

At a home schooling folk dance I go to, 90% of the ladies dance barefoot, and 90% of the guys wear shoes. Why do the ladies go barefoot?

Shoes can be painful for ladies......my sister- in- law says beauty knows no pain but I disagree foot pain means take off them shoes and go free......

About time we had this thread in Singles!! :D

All those questions welling up inside me.... oh my, oh my... pipe down Roh_Chris..

I wonder too. I don't have a deep voice but I know of some people who do have one. They say they find it difficult to be heard in a crowd.

I have experimented with stubble before. They tend to get itchy if you sweat a lot. I suppose you have to wash and condition your beard, just like you would with your scalp hair. :p

-----------------------

Here's my question for the ladies. I was taught this rhyme in kindergarten and I wish to know if it is true.

What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.

Is this true, ladies? Or was my childhood a lie? :p
I add cinnamon to everything well almost.... in my coffee, cereal, fruit, oatmeal. Tourist says I smell good I told him it is all the cinnamon I eat....lol

Shoot I must be part of the 10%... I never could wait to get home and get my shoes off. Just something not natural about the way they make shoes with a thicker heel than toe, forcing a heel-toe stride. Bleh. I feel like dancing barefoot but with normal shoes I feel like doing nothing but sitting down and getting them off my feet.

Then I found out about zero-drop shoes in general and toe shoes in particular. Ever dance across a gravel driveway? :D
Come on now you live in TN and it is illegal to wear shoes there I otta know as I used to live in KY where it is illegal there too.....lol

Could be their internet connection went out.

Or it could be the same as the standard greeting, "How ya doing?" They don't really want to know how you're doing, it's just something people say around here. Maybe "I'll call you tomorrow" is just something some people say without thinking about it.

I never even notice my beard, but in general they can be itchy in-between beard and no beard lol. I've never had a full face one because I just like the simplicity of a thin goatee. Thick beards definitely keep the face warm, though.

My question for women is, do you taste your lipstick while eating/drinking? I would hate that...
I've tasted lipstick before but that was during kissing...

Always wondered something about the opposite gender? Here is your chance to ask (and have it possibly answered!). This is a fun thread, please keep it clean and nice. This is not the thread to get bitter and say "I've always wondered how women manage to break my heart" or "I've always wondered why men are so untrustworthy" blah blah.

No. Stahp now.

Please also keep in mind these are generalizations. Not every man is going to fit the description of the ladies' questions and vice versa.

Maybe yall don't have as many questions as I do, I'm always full of questions, but now that the disclaimers are out of the way....

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I've always wondered what it would feel like to have a deep voice. Just...effortlessly deep. I can sing some tenor (as well as alto and soprano) but to just talk that way? I think it'd be cool.

I've always wondered what it would feel like to have a beard. Are they itchy? Do they really keep your face warm? Do you...wash it and condition it?
I wouldn't know how to answer this question since men are a mystery to me too.

I heard it said once that often it's not that men don't care, but that they forget to care. haha. That's so true in so many situations. So it could either be that, or the guy is a punk.
