Who's to say that Jesus don't cry out to the unsaved?
He suffered for the unsaved...crying don't do no good. He took the issue on like a true man, and faced the Cross with boldness and courage.

Mitspa, you're missing the point here. The OP question is, is it okay for men to cry. NOT should men cry ALL THE TIME. Yes, it's fine and normal for men to cry. But not 24-7 or they'll be labeled as a whiny crybaby.. :)
Well I think what I have read on this thread has past the point of should they, into they should act like babies and girls. The thread needs some balance... :) lol

Good point ..he never cried for Himself...or when things got hard! He was a real man ...gentle yet strong...none of this crybaby stuff!
WE´re going to see the "movie" in heavens, Mispa!

Each time U were hit in a finger you heard your mouth saying WORDS... Imagine that moment and tell me if Jesus was LESS human than any of US while being crucified.

Go and read about these:

Psa 39:9 I am mute; I do not open my mouth, for it is you who have done it.

Psa 22:7 All who see me make fun of me; they stick out their tongues and shake their heads.

Psa 22:14 My strength is gone, gone like water spilled on the ground. All my bones are out of joint; my heart is like melted wax.
Psa 22:15 My throat is as dry as dust, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have left me for dead in the dust.

There was a time, a moment in His agony He could not talk, as these gave you a "logic" idea.

Yep He was a man...no crying even as He suffered for us all. What would we think if it reported He cried like a baby...NO! God forbid! We have a real man as Our Savior! Brave even unto death..even as He laid His life down for us :)

Personally I consider crying to be pain and weakness leaving the body..crying is a sign of a person having had to be strong for too long.. :) jmo

Do you have children?

I have cried with my own children, even watching some movies that moved me to tears (I need to be "balanced").

It´s releasing! Much more if you are kissing the woman you loved.

I know it well (the very time I kissed her)

but yet, Jesus cried on occasion..just because the bible may not report it, doesn't mean it didn't happen..he cried on the cross when he said "father why has thou forsaken me"?.. I'm sure he cried knowing that Peter and Judas would betray him one day..Jesus WAS human, after all..and he cries even today, with us each time one of his children cries..

Matthew 27:50

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

There are two moments for that, when meeting and when saying good-byes, Girls do know that better than me.

Why don´t you ask any of your friends?

I don't know how you conclude that bravery necessitates showing no emotion. Bravery is bravery regardless of the tears or lack thereof.

And nowhere in Scripture does it indicate that Jesus never cried during his torture and crucifixion. In fact, it's hard to imagine that he didn't as the eyes producing tears is a natural physiological response to pain.
We have a real man as our Savior, and he cried--publicly. So this notion that true manhood requires suppressing all negative emotion is simply false.

The last thing I'll say is that you talk about crying as though it's a sign of immaturity, but I would question whether using condescending terms like "cry like a baby" or "cry like a girl" are really mature contributions to the discussion. It is safe to assume Jesus cried, not "like a baby", but like any human who is having chunks of flesh ripped from their body would cry, and that took nothing away from the gravity and the glory of that act of love.

To cry out is different than to "cry"...:p

The meaning of to cry out;

1.to utter inarticulate sounds, especially of lamentation, grief, orsuffering, usually with tears.

2.to weep; shed tears, with or without sound.

3.to call loudly; shout; yell (sometimes followed by out).

4.to demand resolution or strongly indicate a particular disposition:The rise in crime cried out for greater police protection.

5.to give forth vocal sounds or characteristic calls, as animals; yelp;bark.

6.(of a hound or pack) to bay continuously and excitedly in following ascent.

7.(of tin) to make a noise, when bent, like the crumpling of paper.

Even if he cried for a pin hitting his finger, He showed He was more than a strong man: A man of sorrows.

He was well-trained by God:

Isa 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
