Beware of the error of "primitivism." In the Church we are not instructed to do things just because they were done in the early church & to refrain from what was not done then. The teaching is to obey the propositions laid down in God's word as they apply to us, not to copy things that were done per se.

The bible does not teach this. Where does the bible say at some mystery point the church can stop singing, taking the Lord's Supper, etc.?

There is no distinction made between moral and ceremonial laws. Christ did away with ALL the OT.

In Rom 7, Paul writing to Christian Jews in Rome said they were "dead to the law" verse 4 and they were "released from the law" verse 6. Paul did not make any distinction between moral or ceremonial laws but that they were dead/released from ALL of it.
You are incorrect in your theology. The law is still in effect. Murder is still a sin. Stealing is still a sin. Nothing has changed with respect to the law. God has not changed so His word does not change.

You whine about obedience yet you want to claim that the law and all the OT is done away with? So all the OT historical accounts are done away? What of the great poetry and psalms of the OT done away also? All the prophets done away? The prophecy of Daniel regarding the return of Christ done away?

Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Praise Him on the harp, on the timbral, on the horn on stringed instruments, any joyful noise to the Lord make it always. Do not bar joy in salvation, it is always to the Lord, amen.

Do you offer animal sacrifices as Psa 66:13.15 say? Go to the temple to pray three times a day to pray? Have hundreds of wives as David?

How can we tune it without sinning tho? Would't using a pitch pipe be a sin too. We must have perfect pitch and tune it with our voice.

So when God commanded singing that "really" means one does not have to sing but can "really' do as he pleases?

If faithful obedience is required to be saved, then, except for children and small animals, we are all lost.
No. Faithful obedience is not perfect but it keeps one walking in the light where his sins continue to be cleansed away by the blood of Christ, 1 Jn 1:7.

Since the bible does not forbid hot dogs and cokes, these items can be used for the Lord's Supper?
I believe in OT times hot dogs and Pepsi was used so now I don't know. Maybe if they were Diet Cokes.

do we have to wait for God to command us to rejoice in Him before we respond to Him with joy and gladness?

True worshippers worship in spirit and truth, Jn 4:23,24, not as they please which is will worship.

how about if last year, God said "it is good to do A and B" but he never said you had to do either A or B...
and this year, God's apostle said "it is good to do B" (where B is universally associated with A) -- and never said "you must do B"
and throughout all eternity neither God nor any of His disciples has ever said "you must not do A!"

then is it a sin to do A?

The command for NT Christians to sing has not changed for 2000+ years and will not change.

[h=1]2 Samuel
6[/h]
1 .) Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
2 .) And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims.
3 .) And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart.
4 .) And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.
5 .) And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
6 .) And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7 .) And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
8 .) And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.
9 .) And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
10 .) So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
11 .) And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.
12 .) And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.
13 .) And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.
14 .) And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
15 .) So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
16 .) And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
17 .) And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.
18 .) And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.
19 .) And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
20 .) Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
21 .) And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
22 .) And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
23 .) Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

Since hot dogs and cokes are not specifically forbidden they can be used in the Lord's Supper?

(Can you begin to see how logically flawed that argument is?)

True worshippers worship in spirit and truth, Jn 4:23,24, not as they please which is will worship.
are the Psalms not written by the Holy Spirit of Truth?

interesting to me that God did not command David to sing of His praise and make music to His name, but David did so anyway, and the Lord loved him for it and accepted it, approving it by dwelling in the temple to the sound of music and rejoicing at it's dedication, authoring by the Holy Spirit the book of Psalms, preserving it for 2500 years as scripture for us to be used as edification and training for righteousness.

so David was not commanded by God to play his harp for Him, nevertheless he did, and the Lord approved.

sort of shoots a hole in the whole "argument by silence" thing doesn't it?

here is a guy who did B even though it was not required of him, and the Holy Ghost called him "a man after God's own heart"

The command for NT Christians to sing has not changed for 2000+ years and will not change.
the command for NT Christians to never not ever dare make a noise for God with anything but their mouths lest they fall fall from grace and lose their salvation has never existed since the dawn of time and there is no indication in scripture or by the Spirit that it ever will exist.

David was not commanded to play his harp for God.
he did anyway out of the love he had for God in his heart.
God approved.
God does not change.

this is off-topic (not that we couldn't all use a bit of change-of-topic at this point, haha, in fact, that's why i'm posting this) -- but reading 1 Corinthians 11, it appears to me that what Paul considered "the Lord's Supper" was not a ritualistic eating of a taste of unleavened bread and a few drops of wine, but a communal feast.
so i'd say that Coca-Cola[SUP]®[/SUP] and Pepsi[SUP]®[/SUP] and frankfurters are not outside the bounds of an acceptable meal to be shared and eaten in remembrance of the Lord's sacrificial atonement.

i'm a bit younger than you guys, so am going by hearsay, but it might have been Lemon's Superior Sparkling Ginger Ale[SUP]®[/SUP] --- though i am skeptical about the veracity of such a statement.
