agreed. they're a waste of sugar. i imagine they taste like a tums would.
one year i received a box from someone and i glued magnets to them, using them for refrigerator magnets. you'd think they'd be a distraction for bugs, but no. they weren't. turns out they are rejected by the bug kingdom too.
Now listen, and listen good. I am not saying this just because I am a nice piece of Valentine's Day candy. You are the prettiest, nicest girl in the whole school, not to mention the brightest, and if you don't believe me, just go look in the mirror. I happen to know there are dozens of young men out there who would give their eye teeth to go out with a wonderful girl like you. Boys are shy too, you know. Don't worry. Your ship will come in...*
UR loved
NJoy the gift of 2dA!
* I have a mug that says this except that it is from a cartoon "mother" on the mug instead of a piece of candy.
The negative:
Just get a cat, already!
or...
I love you as much as someone like me can love anyone.
They are so gross! LOL Has anyone ever noticed how most holidays have nasty hallmark candies?
Valentines - candy hearts
Easter - peeps (I like these but most people I know, don't)
Halloween - candy corn (I don't like it, although I know some do)
Christmas - candy canes (does anyone even like candy canes?)

I agree. It's almost like they are made for you to buy one pack and get your fill for the year. (For the record though, I feel the same way about most "seasonal foods" like pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving.)
I like peeps too. They are my exception. I can usually eat an entire pack or two before I get tired of them.

Candy canes? I love candy canes and have ever since I was a small child. Candy hearts are dodgy though. And Peeps and candy corn aren't available in Australia, or if they are they're not a Thing here.

"NASCAR 4 Ever" (Dedicated to a formerly single boss who came to work from a NASCAR race with the lower half of his face--the part not covered by his oversized NASCAR sunglasses--burned to a crisp. I called him "Two Tone" for the rest of the day.)
