What if I tell you what he means by two becoming one isn't sex, but being kids and one male understanding females and females understanding males without all the sex thinking. I guess people on Earth only cares about sex. They don't know the fun a male and a female can have apart from sex and what the phrase "Two will become one" means. What If I say that what he wants you to think and understand? What if I say a woman will never have to go through the pain of child birth. If she knows the way how not to of course. THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN. ENJOY EVERYONE.
Yup, I know how to avoid the pains of childbirth--don't get pregnant. I had a doctor's appt. this past week and when she asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant, I gave my standard answer: "Not unless pregnancy is a disease you can catch while sitting next to someone on the bus!"
TrueColors, what if I asked you, just out of curiosity (to understand the back ground you're coming from), what church denomination, if any, were you raised in or are a part of? And which Bible are you currently studying?
(To be fair, I'll answer the same questions.) I spent half my life in the Lutheran church, another 15 in an Assemblies of God church, and have moved a few times in the past few years, leading me to Baptist, Methodist, and non-denominational places of worship as well.
I have read 6 different translations cover-to-cover over the years but found that the Spirit-Filled Life Bible seemed to have the most helpful collection of footnotes for my own personal reference.
I am just asking to try to get a feeling for what your doctrinal background has been? And what Scriptures you were given to shape/support your statements/beliefs?
What if I give you all my complete background from Birth place to current address, to location, to denomination. What if I say I'm not afraid to tell you EVERYTHING about myself. What would you say?

I'm actually enjoying reading many of TrueColours' posts. Even if they remind me of the surreal feeling I had reading "A Scanner Darkly" by Philip K. Dick.

What if I told you I used to write, talk to, and visit prison inmates? What if I told you they wrote me about raping women, and sometimes children? What if I told you one of them was only 22 years old and serving 5 years for going after two little girls in separate incidences? What if I told you he wrote me that he knew he'd just do it again when he got out?
What if I told you that yes, you can spill absolutely everything about yourself... because I have a tendency to listen, no matter how mysterious or dark or threatening or mystical or above everyone else someone thinks they are.
And after I listen, I pray. A lot.
LOL Roh. I'm not trying to start a fight. Rather, I ask questions because I want to get a clearer picture of who people are.
Some people think they are so deep and mysterious and ahead of everyone else... So I'm always interested in what's behind the walls. Literally and figuratively.
Oh, and TrueC, just a couple more questions: What if I told you I'm used to people telling me absolutely everything about themselves? (Even when it's things you really don't want to hear.) What if I told you God seemed to design me specifically for that task? And what if I told you that I actually prefer it when people throw all their cards on the table without holding back?
What if I told you that this is a clear invitation, and now expectation, for you to tell all in your next post, because you offered?

My name is Victor Parkinson, Born in Sierra Leone, Freetown, West Africa. One of the poorest country in the world, but quite the fun place to live and enjoy life. Being poor is quite fun. I miss home. Don't worry I'll go back soon. Raised as a Baptist. My mom left to come to the USA when I was only 3 years old. My dad raised me up until I was 10 when my mom called for me to come to the USA. I never said goodbye to my friends because I was picked up like a theft in the night picking up someone from a house. I didn't even say goodbye to my friends.
I went to elementary school at Walker Jones Elementary school in D.C Which no longer exists because they have new building there. I when to McKinley Tech high school and it was fun. It wasn't the way they portrait high school on tv. College was good, but mix thoughts of majors.
I spend my nights listening to sermons on the radio especially the ones about love and caring for people. I listened to called-in- talk shows and it was quite sad how there are so many pains and suffering going on in this world. YOU WANT ME TO KEEP GOING?
WHAT IF I TOLD YOU YOU ARE PLAYING RIGHT INTO MY CARDS and that what I want everyone Christian or not to do and STOP JUDGING PEOPLE: Homosexuals, Rapists, Addicts etc. I GUESS THERE ISN'T ENOUGH LADIES LIKE YOU IN THIS WORLD. If they were this world could have been better. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
Welcome to CC, Victor. It sounds like you've had an incredible life and I'm sorry for the some of the painful things you've been through. We have all been through some painful things and that's part of why many of us are here, to help each other along and remind each other of God's love, strength, and faithfulness.
Please do continue. All the way to the present. We at CC are a mixed bunch ourselves, but there is a lot of support and encouragement here. I'm sure you'll find a place where you'll fit right in.
I would encourage you to retain some of your privacy for safety reasons, but please feel free to share whatever you feel comfortable sharing.

Fun question. Have you try to ask someone of the opposite sex a friend, family, members, to tell you all their secrets every bad things they have done from the simplest thing we may think is not sin to the most sinful anyone can do. If you can sit with anyone 1 male friend or family member or coworker and try to FIND OUT EVERYTHING about that person. If both of you are not shy or afraid to tell every dirty, evil, shy secret to eachother you two will be different and be separated from the world.
WHILE EVERYONE IS HIDING THEIR SINS. YOU TWO WILL BE LIKE " WELL, WHAT ARE WE AFRAID OF?" DO YOU KNOW THAT MALES HAVE MOOD SWINGS? YOU JUST HAVE TO DIG DEEPER INTO THEIR SOUL. If God knows our soul and heart everyone has the power to see the true colors and heart of anyone.
YOU CAN TURN A TERRORIST INTO A SAINT. A HOMOSEXUAL INTO A HETEROSEXUAL, A MURDER INTO A SAVIOR. IF YOU THINK NO ONE CAN BE LIKE JESUS. WELL, YOU ARE WRONG. You try your best to be like him and God will help you up and pick you up when you say "I'M ONLY A HUMAN, I CAN'T BE LIKE HIM. HE IS A GOD"

I do agree with you that yes, God can work in us to make a difference in the lives of others. But we must also keep in mind the reality of life as well, and that people will make their own choices. Samuel tried his best to help Saul, and when Saul persistently disobeyed the Lord to the point of rejecting him, Samuel wept over Saul but could not change him.
Yes, some people who have murdered can be miraculously changed for God (case in point, the Apostle Paul.) But for some, this means staying in prison the rest of their lives and serving others in the prison. And some simply do not want to change, and have come to like the very things that landed them in prison.
I once wrote an inmate who was in his early 30's and had been in prison almost half his life. He had attempted to murder his parents after years of abuse. One survived and one did not. He had been very involved in street life and would also talk about at least one other murder he had committed. Over the years, he had become someone who wanted to lash out at other people and the more damage he could do, the more satisfied he felt. His time in prison was filled with a record of attempting to harm/kill other inmates and officers, including nearly decapitating another inmate and beating another into a state of permanent disability due to brain damage. He would openly state that he "enjoyed the process" of taking another human being's life and that people "die too quickly", and that "the thrill is over too soon."
God does indeed commission us to have compassion, love, and care for others.
But He also gives us common sense as well. We might cry for the person and pray for them continuously, but there are some people who refuse to change and/or blame everything on someone else. It might be someone who murders, or has an addiction, or refuses to give up things God says to give up.
There is a time to minister, and a time to face reality, like Samuel, when God is telling us to walk away, because, He has other ways in which we are to be obedient to Him, and other people He wants us to serve.
