Dear Kaycie, unfortunately the comparison that you made isn't adequate in this case.
The faulty argument used with Colossians 2 has already been used by posthuman and has been refuted. Please read it so that you better understand what Paul is making reference to.
The end of the righteousness through the law is DONE with the appearance of Christ. Righteousness can only be attained through faith in Christ.
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.
That's why Paul spoke so harshly against anybody trying to ATTAIN righteousness through the law. That was the grave sin: ATTEMPTING TO REACH RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH THE LAW (IGNORING CHRIST'S SACRIFICE). There are parts of the law that STILL must be obeyed. Are you telling me that it's ok to steal, kill, covet?
I'll ask you again and don't respond anything else but your answer: Are you telling me that it's ok to steal, kill, covet?
Reread my post #24 and you will see that no, I do not think that it is ok to steal, murder (not kill), or covet. What I am saying is that both the law of Moses and the law of Christ say not to steal, murder, or covet, BUT we are only to obey Christ and not Moses. When I choose to not sin it is because I am obeying Christ, not Moses.
If there were a yellow block and a red block, and Moses told me to pick up the red block I would not obey. If Christ said to pick up the red block I will obey. It matters not that it's the same block.
