Dear Kaycie, unfortunately the comparison that you made isn't adequate in this case.

The faulty argument used with Colossians 2 has already been used by posthuman and has been refuted. Please read it so that you better understand what Paul is making reference to.

The end of the righteousness through the law is DONE with the appearance of Christ. Righteousness can only be attained through faith in Christ.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

That's why Paul spoke so harshly against anybody trying to ATTAIN righteousness through the law. That was the grave sin: ATTEMPTING TO REACH RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH THE LAW (IGNORING CHRIST'S SACRIFICE). There are parts of the law that STILL must be obeyed. Are you telling me that it's ok to steal, kill, covet?

I'll ask you again and don't respond anything else but your answer: Are you telling me that it's ok to steal, kill, covet?

Reread my post #24 and you will see that no, I do not think that it is ok to steal, murder (not kill), or covet. What I am saying is that both the law of Moses and the law of Christ say not to steal, murder, or covet, BUT we are only to obey Christ and not Moses. When I choose to not sin it is because I am obeying Christ, not Moses.

If there were a yellow block and a red block, and Moses told me to pick up the red block I would not obey. If Christ said to pick up the red block I will obey. It matters not that it's the same block.

Dear JustinFromTwinCities,

I am not a seventh day adventist. I don't belong to any religion or sect. We gather in homes and have no affiliation with the government. What about you?

I'm just a lone sheep in a land full of wolves

I'll answer this really easy... there is a seal that you get by keeping the Sabbath which shows you are the child of Elohim, and then there's an exact opposite of that described as the mark of the beast.

Which one do you want to be adorned with?

The Sabbath was not Just for before Jesus came as evidenced by the prophetic writings:

Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Jesus is the one who revealed the righteousness of God and brought salvation. what is said next?

Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Why this instruction for when the salvation of God through Jesus is revealed. why the Sabbath?

Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

So the stranger is included in this call to take hold of Gods covenant and to keep His Sabbath. notice house of prayer for all people.

now take note cause this is important, Gentiles who followed God were allowed in the temple but only to a point in which there was a wall of partition from the Jews who could go right in to worship and pray.

what does God say about this time of his righteousness being revealed? "a house of prayer for "all" people. not just the Jews as is shown in the next verse.

Isa 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

these being the strangers.

now lets look at what Paul says in Ephesians

Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

Paul addresses the Gentiles called uncircumcision by the Jews. what about them?

Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

what "strangers" from the covenant and aliens from citizenship in Israel.

Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

praise God that through Jesus blood the Gentiles are now made close, close to what?

well the things they were far from before, namely citizenship in Israel which means they are no longer strangers of the covenants of promise.

Remember what Isaiah prophecies?

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

notice part of taking hold of Gods covenant is to keep the Sabbath from polluting it.

bet get this, remember how the gentiles were separated in the house of worship in the temple. well notice what Paul says next:

Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

wow broken down the partition wall, praise God now Gods house is truly a house of prayer for all people.

So Isaiah prophesied that those Gentiles who keep his Sabbath taking Hold of the Covenant when God reveals himself through Jesus will have names better than sons and daughters.

what a blessing.

That's a strange reading of Revelation. I thought you just had to be in Christ (our Sabbath) to be sealed.

Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Deu 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deu 6:8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

The mark of God

It's not all in one book of the Word of Elohim called Revelation, but rather a little here, and a little there, and just by what I have said is enough to show that it does exist as such, as the 7th day Sabbath is the only commandment of the 10 that actually puts a seal between Yah and those that keep it, then you hear about everyone talking about the mark of the beast, yet they don't seem to have a clue what it really is.

Dear Kaycie, the law of Moses is the same one that Christ quotes in the Old Testament. They are NOT new commandments.

Let's read together.

Mark 12:29,30 And Jesus answered him: the first of all the commandments is, Hear, oh Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shall love thy Lord your God with all your heart, and all your mind, and all your mind, and all your strength, this is the first commandment.

Where did Jesus get this from? From what Moses WROTE:

Deuteronomy 6:4,5 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

And now for the second greatest commandment.

Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Where did Jesus get this from? From what Moses WROTE:

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

I will repeat, Jesus did NOT introduce these two commandments. Jesus was in line with what Moses wrote, otherwise the pharisees had every right to stone Him to death, since they had to kill false prophets.

Dear Kaycie, you have gone far to argue against obeying the 4th commandment. As you can see, you CANNOT find in the Bible anywhere where we are told to disregard the 4th commandment.

You still don't seem to understand, this is the Old Covenant! We live in the light of the New Covenant. Ditch religion and cling to Christ!

Tintin, do you have any biblical support that commands us to disregard the 4th commandment, or any of the 10 commandments? If you do, please paste it here. If you don't, just give up. You're not going to find any.

The mark of God is His commandments.

so then the mark of the beast is the opposite.

Just look:

Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

So an worship image or die, and this has to do with the mark. remember Gods mark on the hand and the forehead is his commandments.

remember this story:

Dan 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

So the king makes an image that is 60 cubits and six cubits. hmmm 6.

Dan 3:4 Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,
Dan 3:5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:
Dan 3:6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

so a command to worship or die. which to a follower of God means disobey God or die.

and again this story where they tried to kill Gods servant:

Dan 6:5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

So it is that the law of God is at stake, a governing power threatens to kill those who will not obey a law that goes against the law of God.

And it has to do with worship.

Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

and what is the description of Gods faithful at this time?

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

I think its pretty clear the issue has to do with Gods commandments.

You still don't seem to understand, this is the Old Covenant! We live in the light of the New Covenant. Ditch religion and cling to Christ!

Oh sorry not killing is old covenant also then. Jesus taught to keep the commandments and he quoted from the 10 so we can be sure what commandments He was referring to.

Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

the whole problem i have with the idea that sunday worship is the mark of the beast is this: How is the store going to know if you went in to some evil church building and worshiped at an unholy altar on Sunday? I don't think you could get every single person to go somewhere every single week. Sounds like a total nightmare that would cause 2 day traffic jams

It doesn't matter which day it is called by the name of this Gregorian calendar, it's simply NOT the correct 7th day!

The first thing you find is that the Word tells us what sets the days, and the months, which is the lights in the sky, being BOTH the moon and the sun, but only one of them sets each month, and guess which one it is which is NOT used by the Gregorian calendar!

Keeping the Sabbath on the Sunday is not the mark of the beast. This is the Seventh Day Activists that believe that. If you are consistent then you would have to say the transgression of any one of the commandments are the mark of the beast.

I do believe that we still need to keep the commandments because Yeshua said so himself. I struggle with keeping the Sabbath but I know that I should.

The word of God is perfect and He doesn't change, so what was good for Him when He created earth is still relevant to us today.

These 'evil church buildings' will be Catholic and some protestant church buildings. Many things will happen while this takes place. I think that each household will be registered and assigned to attend a certain church on sunday. As natural disasters increase the pope will proclaim that it's because we're not observing sunday, efforts will increase to pass this law. You will see all this unfold soon. With the help of technology, they wont struggle much.

Dear fredjames, notice that you didn't write down one single bible verse for your claims.

Jesus worked for God, not laboriously. In other words, He spent the Sabbath healing, evangelizing, preaching, etc. These are not against the 4th commandment which in it states: "But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God". We as followers of Christ MUST work for God in that day. Remember that Jesus was a carpenter, and that He was never accused of building on the Sabbath, but for healing. Your first point has been refuted.

The Sabbath is not a rest day for jews. It belongs to God, not to the Jews. Jesus Christ said in Mark 2:27 The Sabbath was made for MAN, not man for the Sabbath. Notice, he said 'man', not 'jews'. This argument has been refuted.

The end of the righteousness through the law is DONE with the appearance of Christ. Righteousness can only be attained through faith in Christ.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

Dear fredjames, you don't understand what you've read in the bible. Your logic doesn't harmonize with the scriptures.

Lastly, by saying that Jesus worked on the Sabbath, you're taking sides with the scribes and pharisees who accused Him. Are you against Jesus, or for Him? Since Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, only He can teach us how to rightly observe it, not the pharisees, who made a burden of the Sabbath. Why are you agreeing with the pharisees? Were they right? Was Jesus wrong? Your arguments are flawed.

Only to you who is blind and remain 'babes in CHRIST', sad to say, if only you would pray and ask Help from the HOLY SPIRIT and take time and read my reply.

You have sadly just condemn your 'self' in your 'vain' statement against me.

i forgive you in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST and i pray GOD will help you to grow up spiritually from present 'lawlessness' faith.

The New Covenant for you and friends alike, is 'gaze' from afar, believing CHRIST have done all the work for you all and you all don't need to do anything and the righteousness of the Law shall be fulfilled in you all, who is of OSAS.

What a 'shortsighted' deception of the modern day Pharisees.

Thank you anyway because of Grace and may GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST forgive and bless you.
