Well just believe what the bible clearly teaches...all the law is fulfilled in one word...love! God made this simple though Christ for us to obey all His commandments by obeying the commandment of Christ..."love as I have loved you" ... You have no reason to fear the law if you walk in love!

1Jo 4:17 ¶ Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Yep, never mind what Jesus Christ says...

Mat 19:17 So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."

Again its written as plain as day that love fulfills every commandment of God....What part of that are you unable to read and believe?

Again, it is written all the law hangs on love, no conflict whatsoeverr. Where love is, the love of God, the law is satisfied, obeyed.

Yea and we have the rest of the New Testament to get the whole counsel of God on the issue.....and it says in absolute and clear terms that all the law is fulfilled in one word...love! Love fulfills the law, not legalism!

You have said it, th New Testament Books do cover this issue, and the Master, Jesus Christ, has taught us that He did nto come to destroy the law, rather to complete them. Understand this,!

You have already claimed to understand that all of the law hangs on Love, meaning if we love we obey the law.

You have already said the New Testament covers it all, and it does providing one reads and believes all of the New Testament, and apparently you do, since you are citing it is your authority.

Thank you, and may God always bless you with this understanding.

What the New Testament clearly teaches is that love and love alone fulfills the law ... not legalism!

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Do you love God's laws, His Commandments?

I believ it woud be impossible not to love them after having studied the laws in the light of Jeuss Christ.

If you know the actions the teachigns, or the Example in general of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you read the laws you will know just exactly why they are still in force in our inward parts and on our hearts.

Please do not confuse the law being in force with bbeing bound by the law, for that would include its curse, death. We are no living in grace while obeying as best possible those laws which are still to be followed. Don't worry, Jesus Christ did the work for us all by being perfect for us, but, we are commanded that we will be perfect too for our Father is perfect. This latter is not only a command; it is a promise to be fulfilled on Jesus Christ's glorious day to come, when the work begun in us is completed,, halleluyah and amen.............

That's my whole point ...that's its those who teach love that really love and fulfill Gods law and teach others to do so...Its those who teach legalism that break the law and teach others to do so... legalist do not love Gods law or else they would teach love...its pretty simple really to see!

very simple to see. if you believe the fruits of the Sprit: love joy peace kindness longsuffering goodness faithfulness gentleness self control. the law does not produce these.

Then we are all saying the same thing but approaching the same lesson from different angles. If we study the law, all of them, we find by Christ's Example tht any of the laws that do not fungcion within the parameters of love, grace and mercy are to be ovelooked. Jesus taught us this by hIS personal conduct and teaching. He desires mercy and not sacrifice. He came to forgive, not to condemn., and more. If mercy and grace are not included the law is not. We do not stone people for adultery, we forgive. We should not exact an eye for an eye rather turn the other cheek. He teaches us the law by writing them on our hearts and inward parts with the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Certainly our new man loves and fulfills the law by his new nature, but the laws he fulfills and more may be know by learn the wisdom of the law. We cannot obey all of the ritualistic laws of the Temple for we are now living stones of the Temple to be reassembled upon His return. We do not follow food or dietary laws for He made all foods clean whe received with thankgiving. Laws concerning our geographic location cannot be followed for the true Israel is with the New Jerusalem to be brought down by our Father. etc. It is a glorious freedom and a wealth of wisdom and knowledge for all of the Children of the Most High God, amen.

We see in the Lords example that He fulfilled the law through love not legalism. It was the legalist that claimed to be keeping law that the Lord called children of the devil.

Here is is directing his words to the hypocrites who weighed heavy burdens on the people that they, themselves, would not lift a finger to do.. Their teachings were venomous, thus Jesus teaches us to leanr of Him for his burden is light, and His yoke is easy.

As concerning Paul, I love his writings but his writings will drive a person mad if the teachings of Jesus Christ are not first learned. I believe this is why so many Epistles had to be sent, because congrgations wre doing things contrary to the gospel.

Its really not difficult.

Galatians 3:10-12
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

How do you become one of the ones who are not under the curse? Becoming one of the ones who is not of the works of the law?

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

By coming to Christ.

Otherwise you will be in this group;

1 Timothy 1:5-7

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
[SUP]6 [/SUP]From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

I'm not sure what your trying to imply? If one is ignorant of Gods righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness by the law? Of course they will be driven mad by Paul's epistles! But the scriptures uphold Paul as the true teacher if the true gospel! Anyone who rejects his doctrine rejects the truth of Christ.

Can you show us where God demands perfection with no room for forgiveness? Where does God say that one slip up is curtains?

Psa 130:3 If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
Psa 130:4 But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

James 2: 10 [SUP]10 [/SUP]For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

Gal 2: 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

According to the law. One sin causes us to be under the curse of the law. which is death.

The law demands perfection.

Thats why we need to be under grace NOT LAW.

You know its very odd that you can get most legalist to admit that a believer cannot be justified by the law nor condemned by the law but they cannot admit that love fulfills every commandment? They cannot see the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus?

Please understand, no one in this thread believes a person is capable of establishing his righteousness, this is why we come to Jesus Christ, we live in grace and obedience. Obedience to the best of our ability. The new person we have become knows to obey, and what to obey. God bless you.

I Dont believe anyone would admit that's what. They are trying to do but according to Gods word that's exactly what folks under the law of Moses are trying to establish. Be sure many here are in great error and bound by trying to justify themselves by works of the law.

Many like to talk about obedience but reject the truth that love not legalism fulfills the commandments of God. Your not obedient to God when you do not submit to His righteousness and go about to establish your own by dead works.

As it is written nothing profits but faith working by love.
