You are wrong my friend. We are not exempted from keeping all of the laws. There are some laws, such as the 10 commandments for example, that are still in effect.

If what you say is true, then is it ok to steal, covet, kill?

Your reasoning does not harmonize with the teachings of Jesus.

Coveting means lusting. There were a certain Jewish sect that didn't believe at all that they shouldn't be lusting after anything or anyone at all. Jacob was apart of this sect; they didn't believed that they couldn't even lust after their wives, that is why Jacob didn't know that he was sleeping with Leah instead of Rachael and Judah didn't know that he was sleeping with his dead son's wife, it is because they were covered from head to toe and only an small opening for penetration. That is why Jesus had reminded them of that since they had believed that they were so perfect, but they had forgotten about that part of the law. And so, do you still think that you are so perfect.

I'm sorry that you believe you need law to want to be good. But the truth is that Christ in you desires to do good things, regardless of love. Our command is to now love one another. And if you don't love your brother, you don't know God because He is love. You don't need a law on stone because it is written on your heart.

I didn't get it on any cereal box I showed you Scripture and you once again reply with OT Scriptures.

Yes stealing is sin because it is written on their hearts. Like the Scripture you posted says. But the law was not given to Gentiles it was given to Jews.

Here is what Peter the disciple did according to Paul:

Gal 3:14 When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

Peter lived like a Gentile. Why would he do this? Because there is no Jew or Greek, we are all in Christ.

John (Yahchanan) 7:16-17 "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching--whether it comes from Yahweh, or whether I am speaking of My own authority."

John (Yahchanan) 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Because there are people who are following the satanic lie that christians shouldn't keep the Sabbath, a claim for which there is not biblical support.

It says to keep His Sabbaths which means more than one type, like Jubilee and there is the seventh Jubilee that is even more harder to practice it, even the Jews had stopped doing that centuries ago because it was too hard for them to keep. And it says to keep it holy which means not to hold any grudge towards no one or anything that is brought from sin, and that is including being judgmental towards any one, like the Pharisees were being judgmental at Jesus' disciples were doing something that was forbidden to do on the Sabbath.

I'm sorry that you believe you need law to want to be good. But the truth is that Christ in you desires to do good things, regardless of love. Our command is to now love one another. And if you don't love your brother, you don't know God because He is love. You don't need a law on stone because it is written on your heart.

Peter lived like a Gentile. Why would he do this? Because there is no Jew or Greek, we are all in Christ.

So i can disprove what you say with Scripture, that the Law was for gentile and jew, but you say ohh thats OT its of no effect... lol.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Its such a shame that I believe we should obey huh?

2 Thess 2:6-12, "For the mystery of iniquity (secret initiation of lawlessness*) is already working, but the One restraining him will continue to restrain him, until he is made to appear in the midst. And then that lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahshua will remove with the breath of His mouth, and make powerless with the appearance of His coming-- Whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, who works with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, Yahweh will send them strong delusion, that they would believe the deception, In order that all those may be judged as not having believed the truth, but as having delighted in sin."

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against Yahweh, and will wear out the saints of Yahweh, and think to change times and Laws..."

Rom 7:7, What? Can anyone therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet. 12, Therefore the Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, and just, and righteous.13 Did that which is righteous, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through that which was righteous, so that through the commandments, sin might become utterly sinful."

1 John 3:4, "Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

Jude 1:4, "For there are certain men who have secretly crept in, who were before of old ordained for this condemnation, unholy men, who turn the undeserved pardon of our One Supreme Savior Yahweh into licentiousness, and deny Yahshua our Messiah"

The mark of Yah is clearly stated in Scripture (and you will see this mark is for Hebrew and Gentile alike 'Isayah 56:1-7'):

Exodus 13:9, "And it shall be as a *sign to you upon your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh's Law shall be in your mouth; for with a strong hand Yahweh has brought you out of Egypt."

*Sign is Word #226, Hebrew Dictionary, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, meaning mark, token, sign, consent, flag, evidence of consent.

and Paul supports this verse:

2 Timothy 2:19, "Nevertheless, the Foundation of Yahweh stands sure, having this seal*: Yahweh knows those who are His, because everyone who reverences the Name of Yahweh departs from iniquity." (iniquity is Lawlessness)

*seal is 4973. sphragisStrong's Concordance

sphragis: a seal, a signet
Original Word: σφραγίς, ῖδος, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: sphragis
Phonetic Spelling: (sfrag-ece')
Short Definition: a signet-ring, impression of a seal, the proof
Definition: a seal, signet ring, the impression of a seal, that which the seal attests, the proof.

again

Exodus 13:9, "...sign to you upon your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that Yahweh's Law shall be in your mouth..."

upon your hand and as a memorial between your eyes

Hand and head...

The beast has a counter mark: Also in the Hand and head...

Revelation 14:9-11, "And the third malak followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man worships the beast and his likeness, and receives his mark in his forehead or upon his hand, The same will drink of the wine of the wrath of Yahweh...........And they have no rest night and day, who worship the beast and his likeness..."

"judge the brethren with regards to Sabbath days"

Oh wait, I get it, you disagree with what Paul said in the letter to the church at Colossae but need someone else to point the finger at.

i'm not the one pulling apart the scripture and rearranging it a whim because it doesn't suit my fancy as it's plainly written.

let me know if i've got this straight, ok?

Let no man (except the body of Christ) therefore judge you
(in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days, which are a shadow of things to come, but are by no means fulfilled by Christ and were not included in the ordinances nailed to the cross, but rather are to be kept as a strict law as though the cross was of no effect)
(Letter to the proselyte Jews in Colossae 2:16-17, john 832 Version)

Now c'mon Grandpa, you didn't really think I would say something I couldn't back up with chapter and verse did you?

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Now who created ALL things including the Sabbath?

Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

And who was the I AM that gave the Law to Moses?

Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

You are going to Exodus to show what Christ says about the Sabbath?

You realize that pits the word of God against itself as well as the word of Christ against Himself?

Matthew 5:38-39
[SUP]38 [/SUP]Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
[SUP]39 [/SUP]But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Now you have the law given by Moses as being that grace and truth. Poor kid.

Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

The law given by Moses was only a shadow of good things to come. Considering your view of the law I imagine that's pretty hard to take in.

2 Co 3:7 Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end,

2 Co 3:7 Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end,

Yes the written form of the Mosaic laws, including that of the 10 Commandments were the ministry of death because the written ordinances that came along with many of those laws was to be put to death. Including working on the Sabbath, however the Lord made clear that those ordinances of laws no longer apply to us who are in Him.
He also made a point that the moral laws of God that are contained within the 10 commandments still do apply to us, as well did Paul confirm this in Romans 13:9. Both Jesus and Paul made a point that by walking in love, His moral laws will be written in our hearts as a natural way of life and not a set of ordinances. For in love you will not want to do any of the wrong mentioned in the law.

We however are not bound to the 613 Mosaic laws under the new covenant as Acts 15 makes clear. This being said though just because we being in Christ are not under the law, does not give a free reign to sin or that sin no longer applies to us. Repentance and confession still have to be made to be cleansed of our unrighteousness, and to end up being spotless before God.

That is why Jesus has summed up the laws, because our discernment of them has led us astray from the true purpose of the laws.

He said the 2 greatest not the only, He showed all other Laws depend on those 2....

Mattithyah 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deut 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Lev 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

but what I see is many take those 2 and throw out how it is explained to love Yah, they ignore and go IM loving Him, yay!

try loving Yah and not honoring His 4th Copmmandment, its impossible, its falsehood. Now I am not perfect I have transgressed the 4th Commandment, but I know when I honor it I can feel Him with me. The Holy Spirit departs from sin....

But He only made ONE day holy and only set apart ONE day...

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.
Gen 2:3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

so, you doubt this scripture?

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

You really believe that we cannot be pleasing in God's sight?

1Jn 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

You say one thing, scripture says another. I gotta go with scripture on this one.

No, for attempting to appear holy when you are not. False piety is not pleasing to God. Trusting in your righteousness is never a good plan. Righteousness does not come through the law. Righteousness is imputed through Christ.

Well, thanks for judging me on this.

Hmmm, what is righteousness? Can one practice righteousness...

1Jn 2:29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

Rev 19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

I am not elevating the Law above Christ, I am simply quoting scripture. I notice you don't do much of that.

if i may, for your good:)
i notice you have many scriptures you use to back your beliefs....you're an old hat at these beliefs (not grace)
but one thing you seem to lack, or two - humility and love.

which negates any obedience you might claim.
just a suggestion for your consideration:)

2 peter 3:15-17, "And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. The Holy Spirit departs from sin....

the Trinity worked to save men dead in trespasses and sin.
Christ was made to be sin, though he never sinned. he came down and dwelt among us sinners.
he ate with sinners.
is the Holy Spirit less involved in man's salvation than Jesus?
God's love and desire to save is greater than your sin.
repent and confess and pick yourself up and give thanks

did the holy spirit depart from you? if so, you were forsaken.
did you need to get saved again?

are you sealed then unsealed then sealed then unsealed each time you receive the truth of Christ's work by faith - then sin?

Whatever is not of faith is sin. The law is not of faith.

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Galatians 3:11-12
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

We are not under law but under grace.
Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

How does that happen? By Faith!!
