My mother had a mustard seed pendant on an old chain. She would gladly tell me how faith only that big could move a mountain. I hear that story years later at church, and came home and stared at that necklace, amazed. That necklace is mine, now.

My mother taught me that a mustard seed of faith could move mountains. :)

Momma taught me when I put a trash bag in the trash can, wrap it around the edge, gather up the loose bag, put my thumb in it and spin the can. When it is tight, tuck the knot under the tight bag. It will not fall in. Ever. I use this trick every day at work. My bags don't fall in, no matter how many customers put how much trash in.
Hey brother......I did this all night at work..........tell your mom thanks........it really worked.......peace..jo

My mama taught me about life, she'd always say, you've seen today, you haven't seen tomorrow, always make good use of your day and have respect for everyone, it could be a new born babe, have respect for him/her. Those values instilled in me at a young age have really helped molding me into who I am today, though sometimes didn't really make good use of the day and ended up with a lots of chores etc. :D

Mi Mama, taught me the art of parallel parking, while she held a chancla in her hand, while looking over her shoulder to swat you in the back seat.

My mother never did it, but I've heard of mothers who used their shoes as paddles to tan the kids' hides.

Bill Cosby said his mother could even get a boomerang action from her high heels. Take one off, throw it and hit a misbehaving child, then it comes back and she puts it back on.
