Yet if an eternal securists tries to argue a Christian cannot live in sin, then he is making salvation CONDITIONAL upon how the Christian lives.
Yet if an eternal securists tries to argue a Christian cannot live in sin, then he is making salvation CONDITIONAL upon how the Christian lives.
i can't live in perpetual sin, not because if i do i'll overturn the will of heaven and destroy the work of the cross --
i can't live in perpetual sin because the work of the cross is real and effective - the Lord chastens His own children, teaches them and sets them in the way that they should go. i can't go on sinning because the Spirit He put in me, the heart He gave me, the mind He renewed cannot abide by it.
if one that God has truly sealed with His Spirit unto Himself could continue in sin, then the calling of God is revocable.
but read this, and believe it:
God's gifts and his call are irrevocable.
(Romans 11:29)
is my faith in myself?
heck no -- what useless faith is that?! is your faith in your own self? liberate te ex infernis?
my faith is in one who is mighty to save to the utmost. One who works a change in me that no power can overthrow.
God is good!!
why would i praise Him if i was the one doing all the work of salvation?
but this God - my God - He is worthy of all praise!
if the salvation He has wrought for me is conditional, it is conditional on Him, because He is the one who saves.
do you doubt He is able to meet the condition? have faith!
