I could post article after article debunking the global warming myth. You do not have an open mind so it would be fruitless.

The numbers are what the numbers are. This whole hoax is purely for POLITICAL purposes. I suspect that many of the dupes WANT to believe it because they agree with the goal of wealth redistribution and socialism.

I think the funniest, most hypocritical show I've seen recently on the hoax was on Nat Geo channel. The show started off talking about ice ages and how the last one had most of the northern hemisphere under 300 ft of ice. It then spent 45 minutes talking about man-made global warming. It followed up by saying we should be entering into the next ice age if man wasn't screwing it up with co2 gasses! Somehow these brainiacs couldn't see the irony that if in fact man was stopping the next ice age THAT WOULD BE A GOOD THING! 300 ft of ice on top of NYC and these guys are bemoaning that is going to happen

If it's hot out global warming, if it's cold out gobal warming, if it is beyond freezing with feet of snow...you guessed it, global warming. If temperatures achieve their exact historical median... GLOBAL WARMING!, only now, with so many on to the hoax, and seeing the antarctic ice greater than ever, artic ice near normal, and freezing winters, which wasn't suppose to happen, we have to change the name, so as not to look even more ridiculous than we already do, of the hoax to "Climate Change" Wake up!! Your'e being duped!

Incase you don't watch; the ice has gone down by more than half in 20 years, from over 4 million sq km to less than 2 million sq km.

That was a computer generated image with a random graph. I mean, I could make that. That wasnt really anything.

I also noticed, the ice actually did grow then shrink then grow then shrink, it really didnt just consecutively just shrink. That would give you the impression that that is normal behavior and we are currently just in shrinking season.

That wasnt really a compelling piece of evidence.

Why do you NEED the hoax to be true? Here is the pics for yourself to see:

Stunning satellite images show summer ice cap is thicker and covers 1.7million square kilometres MORE than 2 years ago...despite Al Gore's prediction it would be ICE-FREE by now | Daily Mail Online

It also only starts from 1980, which means alot could have happened before hand, but we are only being shown ice from 1980. That really isnt enough to make me worry.

Could global warming be a real thing? Maybe. But I dont really feel any reason to worry about it. More taxes isnt even a solution. They could stop manufacturing so much junk, but that will never happen. They can do things like filter the waste thats put out into the sky from factories but thats just making it go a little slower. Id imagine that if there really is super drastic climate change happening because of human industrialization, nothing will stop it besides putting an end to human industrialization.
But yeah making new taxes and changing the laws we have to give more power to the govt seems like the general fix it all solution.
Im not even right wing or pro multi billion dollar corporation. I just dont really see any reason for any drastic laws to be passed, other than some scientists are telling us we should.

In a hundred years, you will feature on the plaque full of the name's of people who could have woken up and didn't; the generations under you will curse you for not recognizing what was happening, and they'll suffer for your ignorance.

I'll suffer for your ignorance. So, no, I don't need it to be true -- it IS true. What I need is for people who take it lightly to wake up and start making a change.

Pretty much every other developed country on Earth has high majority constituents who recognize climate change, the need for recycling, for better fuel consumption, for alternative energy sources, for sustainable farming and sustainable logging, and Americans just don't seem to be bothered.

You, being 4% of the world's population, produce more than 25% of the world's atmospheric pollution (more than China, India and Japan combined). About 40% of your food is wasted (could be turned into biofuel quite handily), you've logged 96% of you original forest and you guys have terrible emission rates.

You might continue not to worry but your country does more than any other one nation to pollute this planet for the rest of us.

Well that's not fair Human. The United States has invested heavily in wind, hydro, solar and biofuels. Read the "Renewables 2015 Global Status Report': http://www.ren21.net/Portals/0/documents/Resources/GSR/2014/GSR2014_full report_low res.pdf

We've pioneered renewable energy and even led it's implementation at various points. The problem is that like most democracies with extensive natural resources (e.g. the U.S. is the largest oil and natural gas producer in the world), renewable energy politics comes in and then goes out of favor cyclically.

We do need to develop a consistent smart approach to renewable energy that isn't another driver to our immense, never-before-seen-in-human-history, astronomical, and ever rising, national debt whether or not global warming is a phenomena that human activity materially affects.

There are a great many desirable benefits to being an energy efficient, clean energy, renewable energy nation.

I'm glad you agree! There are. As you mention, though, the initiatives come in and out of favour, and that's because America has a partisan political structure -- Democrat vs Republican -- and when Republicans come into office they generally pay less attention to environmental issues, which are usually viewed, not necissarily always but usually, as liberal or democrat political concerns.

Climate change denial is pretty rife in America and while I'm not generally one to prescribe to partisanship in politics (in the UK, both major parties -- Labour and Conservative -- recognize climate change is an issue, as well as the Liberal Democrats) in America the Republicans usually are the most vehement deniers of the evidence that climate change is happening and that environmental initiatives are important.

You're obviously an exception to that, as a conservative who recognizes at least the need for environmental cleanliness and renewable energy, if not the validity of global warming and its impact. Just be careful, because by casting doubt on global warming (if indeed you're on the fence as to whether its human affected or not) it can be easy to give the impression that renewable energy isn't important to pursue, when you know that it is.

BP say there are 53 years of oil left and about 80 of natural gas. It's estimated that if we burn all of that then we can expect a global average temperature more than 9 degrees celsius (could be 9 or it could be 15) higher than currently. 9 degrees mightn't seem a lot, but take the Mediterranean for instance. Turkey's summer daytime temperatures are generally in the 38 - 45 celsius range. Into the 50's is pushing it for human habitation, and Turkey isn't even that close to the equator.

Of course, the fact that the US is the largest producer of oil and gas also explains a lot of the climate change denial campaigns and information -- the US stand to have the most to lose economically by strict environmental controls and reduction in oil production and use, and of course, most of that production happens in the Southern States, which is mostly, coincidentally, conservative.

You probably already recognize that.

Its about earth worship (Tebhel - the inanimate earth) and by earth worship you are degrading any spiritual aspect of the earth which is provided by the animate beings on this earth in this world (Cheled - the non physical spiritual 'earth').
The people peddling the 'climate/greenhouse/whatever' scare have become fantastically rich.....oh well Mammon pays well....

Popular opinion is never a good reason to follow along :p

I also have heard that many European nations are pushing to make that rfid chip law. Id hope people would actually take the warning seriously, but because of popular opinion, people believe life is what they make of it and nothing will ever happen to them and everything is what they can see around them only.

Popular opinion is generally something I avoid :p It is in no way a good reason to follow along.

And what if there really was this major climate change coming, but it was something that just couldnt be stopped? How do you know it is in fact man made? Hasnt the earth been drastically different before? Europe was once covered in ice, right? And that changed. Why is it 100% fact that any change that could happen now is in fact man made?

And lastly, we shouldnt be put to shame for it. We had literally nothing to do with industrialization, the laws created by govt, the modern world and all the consumerism. None of that was done by our hands, but by the worlds leaders. But it is funny how they literally put the blame on us, telling us its an "inconvenient truth" that we have to accept and change our behavior. We had nothing to do with it from the start. I didnt tell them to build massive factories and make 1,000,000 cars a day. The leaders of our world made that decision. Now they are telling us we created this horrible enviormental problem, which we dont even see, and its our responsibility to change it. And we even have people in high places who say we need to lower the earths population to change it. We need to be lowered to fix the problem they made.

Anywho, science is all the time twisted to say whatever a powerful group of people want us to believe, so excuse me for not holding that belief that if a scientist said it, its absolute truth :p Its humans finding ways to get other humans to follow along with something they wanna do :p I do not believe 100% that this is truly being done with a pure heart to save us, the affects we are warned will happen are always greatly exaggerated to reality, and the whole thing stinks of fear mongering. Instead of doing any real solutions, were told we need to change our behaviors, spend more money and give the govt more power, when the solution is to slow down industrialization, which means less jobs anyways. The solution to this problem will never happen, but if you wanna give the govt more money and allow them more power then go ahead. Might as well do it for that serious terror problem we are having in the US, all those people just being attacked daily to the point that the word "terror" will convince people to do whatever you want to protect them from it :p And while were at it we better get rid of religious freedoms, I for one am tired of seeing all those gay people hanging from trees with the sign Christians did this". And hey guys, we better take down those mosques before those muslims come and blow up our homes :p

You should always question why the powers of the earth are doing what they are doing. The flesh is not your enemy, the powers of the earth and evil in the spiritual realms are.

Seeing that there is enough information on both sides of the issue to have an argument, I would conclude that there probably isn't much of an issue. Regardless of CO2 we should be proactive against pollution. I don't think that is the original question. There might be proof (inconclusive) that other planets are heating up. The proof shows however that with all planets, the heat is being generated from the core and not the atmosphere. The question at hand is, are we being lied to? If the answer to that is yes, then why are we being lied to?

This is my theory. It is based on news, evidence and Bible prophecy. Something is effecting our planet. The government knows what it is but can't stop it from happening. It will not take place in the immediate future but is culminating to a devastating climax. By getting us to believe that the disasters around the world are human caused then they can be human fixed. This buys the elite time to build their bunkers (already completed), if not for the fateful day at least for when the population wakes up and realizes they are doomed. They are going to let the undesirables die because to them we are worthless eaters. There will be less food and water so less people is better. They will stave off anarchy as long as they can, keeping people distracted with entertainment and pumping all kind of misinformation on the internet confusing people. Fact: Vatican built large infrared telescope to observe something coming from space. Fact: Large bunkers have been constructed around the US by the Masons. FEMA camps have been built for "housing" large populations. Enough bullets have been purchased by the governments to support decades of war. Fact: Something in past has caused worldwide devastation, including volcanoes erupting, pole shifts, water levels to rise hundreds of feet, and mass extinctions. Fact: Revelations in the Bible describes civilization will be nearly destroyed even before the Antichrist enters the scene.

You can draw your conclusions. I'm not guessing something is going to happen. The only question is what exactly and when, but I guarantee it will be severe.

This post sounds eerily similar to the myriad of intolerant politicians and leftists who say that "climate deniers" (another orwellian title) should be jailed, especially the honest scientists, for speaking out against the hoax.

you have to remember liberalism is a mental disorder. trying to get the global warming koolaid drinkers is a scam is like trying to get the skitzo down the block that believes the cockroches talk to her, is all in her head cockroches can't talk.

Nice post and with a couple of tweaks, I'll let it stand. Read this: A National Survey of Republicans and Republican-*‐Leaning Independents on Energy and Climate Change | Yale Project on Climate Change Communication

Yale's actual published study: http://environment.yale.edu/climate-communication/files/Republican_Views_on_Climate_Change.pdf

Notice that most Republicans polled (52%) believe climate change is happening, while 26 percent believe it is not, and 22 percent say they “don’t know.”

A large majority (77%) of Republicans say the United States should use more renewable energy sources (solar, wind & geothermal) in the future. Among those who support expanded use of renewable energy, nearly 7 out of 10 think the U.S. should increase the use of renewable energy “immediately”.

Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents prefer clean energy as the basis of America’s energy future and say the benefits of clean energy, such as energy independence (66%), saving resources for our children and grandchildren (57%), and providing a better life for our children and grandchildren (56%) outweigh the costs, such as more government regulation (42%) or higher energy prices (31%). By a margin of 2 to 1, respondents say America should take action to reduce our fossil fuel use.

Only one third of respondents agree with the Republican Party’s position on climate change, while about half agree with the party’s position on how to meet America’s energy needs. A large majority of respondents say their elected representatives are unresponsive to their views about climate change."

^ In other words, you'll find a lot of passion for clean renewable energy and recycling among conservatives and independents in the general population despite the recalcitrance of GOP politicians which is itself slowly changing (especially with respect to state and local level GOP politicians). Read: Could a GOP Congress Back Renewable Energy? | Institutional Investor

Now, to be honest, scientists do not presently have a final consensus on whether or not global warming is occurring. Most argue for it. Some do not.

What the scientific evidence does show is that human activity is not the primary driver. For example, ice and sediment cores show that over the past four million years, the global climate has oscillated many times. The changes are caused by variations in Earth’s orbit. Each cycle lasts about 100,000 years with an ice age typically taking up 90,000 of those years, and a global warming effect, the other 10,000 years. Many natural phenomena significantly affect the global climate. Atmospheric conditions are impacted by tectonic activity, erosion, and changes in Earth’s biomass. Etc...

But even what human activity does contribute to global warming is grossly misunderstood by the left on forums such as this. For example, while politicians and liberal activists focus on the effects of fossil fuel burning no one seems to mention that the breeding and domestication of cows and cultivation of rice do much more harm.

The Journal of Quaternary Science stated that over the last 8,000 years cattle farming and rice crop cultivation alone have nearly doubled the quantity of methane in the atmosphere. At the same time, deforestation has increased the atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide. Both methane and carbon dioxide are greenhouse gases that trap the sun’s heat.

But contrary to the typical liberal's claims, human activities also have cooling effects. The release of aerosols and particulates actually blocks out sunlight and generates light-reflecting cloud layers, especially over densely populated and highly industrialized regions where pollution is loosely, if at all, regulated.

The bottom line is that there are dozens of physical, chemical, and biological processes that contribute to both heating and cooling the planet. When any one of these factors gets out of balance with the others, Earth is at risk of losing its optimal climate for human civilization. This delicate balancing act of multiple and diverse natural processes and human activities gives us reason to be cautious.

But to suggest that we can stop global warming simply by cutting back on fossil fuel combustion and altering our industrial processes is naive at best. In fact, if we ignore one or more of certain mechanisms that contribute to either global warming or cooling, our attempted solutions could actually make matters worse.

So first and foremost; us conservatives and independents whom are for renewable clean energy and recycling as we move forward are for them because of their benefits apart from "global warming" which we view as more of a natural cyclic phenomena which human activity both contributes to and helps prevent.

I help this provides you a better understanding.

P.S. Again, note that 52% of Republicans believe the earth is warming and 77% of them support clean renewable energy.

Liberal authoritarianism is always ugly and a blight on the free people of middle earth. The Labour party in the UK is now trying to simultaneously make sharing facts about homosexuality verbally and online a fabricated "hate crime" if they don't conform to the "homosexual agenda" and then use that as the basis to disenfranchise people via a "black list" from government work in their own country. It's Hitleresque. But then, fascism always was a liberal invention: Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of the American Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Change: Jonah Goldberg: 9780767917186: Amazon.com: Books

I don't think any rational person is against research into alternative fuels. The problem is ALL sources of energy, renewable or not, have their downside.

Bio- fuel means burning our food and is incredibly ineffecient.

Wind destroys scenery, wildlife, usable acreage and depends on the wind blowing.

Solar uses vast amounts of water to keep the panels clean, otherwise their effeiciency goes way down.

Aside from perhaps nuclear, which the left hates, fossil fuels give by far and away the greatest BTU for the buck.

Think of how this fuel has lifted untold millions out of poverty, rampant cold, blistering heat, not to mention making the ability to travel accessable to the masses. THAT is why the left hates fossil fuels so much. They hate a prosperous people that doesn't depend on them and the government.
