Did you not read 1 Thessalonians 4:3 I posted ?

Paul clearly starts off saying this is the will of God, as there are more then just one scripture that tell us what the will of God in our lives is. And it is not just believe, unless you follow the Lord Jesus definition of believe. Come, hear, and do all that He said; <------That is His definition of those that believe in Him. (Luke 6:46-49, Matthew 28:16-20, John 14:15)
So you are sinless and equal with Jesus in your mind.
I will pray that God will forgive you .

Yeah I know what 1st Thessalonians 4 teaches as that was one of the first books I taught through in 91 when you were 14....
doesn't alleviate the verse I posted and all of the verses in context that teach eternal salvation based upon faith and grace......!

Jesus was sinless
You are not , I am not, And we never will be as long as we live in this fleshly body
I hope you are not saying you are sinless as Jesus is sinless.

You are right Jesus was sinless, and we are not.

But His Spirit is in us when we are born again, and is molding us to be and walk as He walked. We will not be completely perfect as we will still mess up, but through Him we can get, be, and do better as He works in us. Any time we sin it is because we obey our own lusts and not obey His Holy Spirit's guidance. This is why I do not agree with the we always sin everyday mentality, because that would mean we deny the Holy Spirit every single day.
And that contradicts scripture as scripture says the Holy Spirit is given by God to those who obey, not to those who will disobey Him on an everyday basis.....

So you only sin when you chose.
I always chose not to sin, but some times I fail. I do not realize it until the Holy Spirit convicts my heart.
I fail to sir, but if you have a hard time with what I am stating you better re-read the Bible because everything is in there....

For example is this SIN?

I am praying or reading the Bible and out of no where a naked woman flashes through my mind and she is not my wife.
I immediately bring that thought into captivity with the obedience of Jesus Christ by stating:
For it is written: I think about things that are true, things that are honest, things that are just, things are pure, things that are lovely, things that are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, I think on these things.

The thought goes away immediately because it was not my flesh the thought it, it was placed there by the enemy to distract me from my time with God....

I never let lust take over in that thought, so lust could not create SIN.

The thought was not SIN, because I took it captive in the obedience of Jesus Christ. There is no reason to ask forgiveness, because just as Jesus spoke the word when he was tempted, I also spoke the word when tempted and the devil left me....and Sin was not committed because lust did not bring it forth.... James 1.13-16

Correct a true believer will have those things in their walk - never denied anything concerning our walk BUT that does not get nor maintain our salvation. :) And no one has denied that our walk should "imitate" Christ.

What no one has addressed is that all men are born in the flesh and that flesh is inherited from Adam - we all have a sinful nature in the flesh. Then we are born again of God's Spirit - we are partakers of the divine nature. These two natures are directly in opposition to each other. The flesh [the sinful nature] lusteth against the spirit and the spirit [divine nature] lusteth against the flesh. These two natures are constantly battling it out and it is why we are told to renew our minds, to cast down imaginations, to mortify the deeds of the flesh. That is why we are to PUT on the new man [the divine nature]. It is not always easy because our natural self, our flesh's impulse is to sin - that is the nature of man. We are told to run the race, to fight the fight, all phrases related to athletes who have to work daily to keep their bodies in shape to "win the prize" = our walk. The prize is not eternal life - that is promised to us through faith but it is the "little extras" - I believe there are 5 crowns spoken of - that we will receive for our works that are not burned up but remain . . .

1 Cor. 3:13-15 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. if any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon he shall receive a reward. if any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

I agree for sure........they simply cannot acknowledge the truth.....to admit the truth is to admit they are lost and still in sin while believing a false gospel of a different kind with no power to save.........

The Bible tells us plainly that I should have this mind which was in Christ Jesus and that we have the mind of Christ when we renew our minds to obey our spirit man....

Yes, evil thoughts are sin.
You seem to be like some others on here have a very narrow difinition of sin.

you don't answer the question cuz you don't wanna brag?????? You funny danielson.
It is not a matter of boasting about myself. It is a matter of being humble and intimate in what you have to do with God rather than seeking the approval of men. If you were to read Matthew 6 again and let God talk to your heart about it, you would understand that.

Romans chapter 6

[14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
[15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
[17] But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
[18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Again:

Hebrews chapter 12

[1] Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
[2] Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Please show me chapter and verse that says thoughts are SIN.....the Bible has plenty to say about renewing our minds, but does not state that thoughts are SIN...here is what the Bible says is SIN:

James 1.13-15:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Did Eve commit SIN by THINKING or EATING?

Please respond with scriptures and not pithy comments...

Why do you as others always come back with statements like this that you know is false, as I have already answered that to you and others. No person is sinless, but we can learn through the Lord and His Holy Spirit to abstain from sins and not let them control us any more. Nowhere does the bible say we will continue as born again believers to sin everyday, as that would completely contradict all the teachings in the bible and why we have the Holy Spirit.

Yes we are saved by grace through faith, and faith without works is dead.
Because if you continue to walk in sins day in and day out, then you are still walking in darkness and not righteousness and denying the Holy Spirit working in you. For God did not call us to walk in uncleanness.

1 Thessalonians 4:7
For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Paul is saying here that if a person calls themselves a Christian but is walking an improper lifestyle in these sins to not keep company with them, and not to even eat with such a person. This is same chapter that he says to cast them out of the church if they refuse to change from doing them. In hopes that they will see their error and repent !!!

You simply don't believe the Bible and you deny the very grace which Christ came to give us. Yes, you actually believe that Adam's sin and what followed is greater than Christ's atonement.

With the aged there is not always wisdom and you're living proof of the same.
