As a nonbeliever, why are you here? Hanging around with a bunch of "nutty Christians" who must be soft in the head for believing a bunch of fairy tales? Something you want from us?
If he can help just one of us to see the truth and free us from our self imposed mental prison wouldn't that be worth it?
Do you not know that religious fundamentalism is the root of much evil? He is doing the hard work necessary to ready people for the age of enlightenment.

lol jk, if I were him, and had left Christ and attempted to rebuild my entire worldview. I would always have serious doubts in the back of my mind too

I know you said that you believe that we were created by a "higher power", so what is this entity all about if it is not the God of the Bible?
I'm only using the god theory as a postulation at this point, as I have nothing better to glue my current theories together. But my theories can't be glued together by the bible god anymore.

Well I'm glad you are able to speak with us. I hope you are not easily offended by differing opinions and worldviews. I do not mean to offend you with the things I say. Just out of curiosity, are you a member of a society such as the masons or any religious group for that matter? New age movement?

No, it just makes me happy to converse with christians. I don't know why, maybe because it gives me faith in what I believe.

Which, according to you, is nothing. I find it interesting that "nothing" needs to be morally bolstered in order to continue to "believe" in it.

None, but many believers/non believers approached me with world views. But I rejected all of them.

No, I reject the idea of life meaning nothing.
Then you have to believe in something. What is it? Yourself? Community? Humanism? I ask because you seem to be "real good" in your own mind at putting down Christian faith, but you don't seem to be able to describe what you do believe.

Wasn't Jesus the greatest servant of all? Or am I just remembering Jesus wrong.
Like I said if you read John 9 for yourself your eyes might be opened.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. John 13:16

Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
John 12:44

My faith is in learning, nothing more nothing less.

I think 2 Tim 3:7 describes that faith. So with that I say thank you the conversation and I hope that you find that truth you are seeking.

Well I was feeling squishy feelings and I just had to say I love you.
Well if you as you said got a warm feeling from reading my post that is Gods love. When I post I pour my feelings into it and God often times pours his love into me so I cannot help but pour it into my posts. I understand you are a nonbeliever but you were saved once correct? if so did you never know such a love with God? ever having him pour his love and heart into your soul giving you a hungry and greedy heart to know and love him?

There is far more to being a Christian than what most experience and God reveals things and gives generously to those who seek his heart.

I believe that the root cause of all sin is that we have been disconnected from God. Made unaware of the spiritual dimensions which exist all around us, we are cursed slaves to our physical reality of space and time. I believe that Satan is the "god" of this world and has people working directly under him to accomplish his will on earth. I believe that Christ (God) came to show us how to truly live and love on this earth and then took the curse and our sin on to Himself to free us from our prison. I believe that through the Holy Spirit we can become reconnected with the Spirit of God within ourselves, yet we are still trapped in the cursed and fallen creation and flesh until Christ returns. Then when Christ does return, we will receive incorruptible bodies which are free from the curse of sin and then when God remakes the heavens and the earth after judgement day, everything will be returned to its perfect state and God the Father Himself will come and live among us. I believe that all religions throughout time have worshiped Satan/Saturn/Lucifer under different names. I believe that that man can never become "good" until we are reunited with God. I believe that most everything on this earth and all worldly systems are a grand deception to lead us away from God. I believe that God walks powerfully with those who walk with Him.

I do not believe God is a prison warden who keeps the burning and suffering pathetic fallen creation around for eternity just for the heck of it.

I did experience that burning love that fills your heart, and makes you tingly, when I was a christian and when I wasn't one. The last time I felt it was when I lost my fear of hell and started thinking about my daughter. That was last December.

Actually my above statement was a little impulsive. I do have faith in myself, and humanity and my ambiguous god, and learning.
Gods are never ambiguous. If you have an "ambiguous god" you have no god at all. Learning, as Zmouth said, is discounted learning as being the sole focus of unrighteous men.

1 Timothy 3 NASB
2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,
7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Which, by the way, covers the rest of where you place your faith. See a problem here?

So don't learn anything and see what will become of you.

Ouch, I just got that sharp sting feeling you get when convicted by the Word of God. I have been lacking in my self-control as of late... Not getting in to sin, but laziness
