But, you only put it on a medium quality or low quality cut of meat right?

I mean, if someone offers you a really good New York Strip, Or Ribeye, or Filet, you order it rare or medium rare and eat it plain right? Right?

I'm worried for you here... we might need to stage an intervention otherwise...

Now, A1 on a burger - that's a major win.

If the steak is a perfect cut, perfectly cooked, and I have salt and pepper, I will divert the A1 toward my fries instead. ;)

A1 also works well on baked potatoes!

French fries:
Ketchup
Barbecue Sauce
CHEESE
Chilli
BACON
A1 sauce
Garlic
Vinegar

Baked potato:
CHEESE
BACON
Sour cream
Butter
Ketchup (just a bit)
Garlic

Obviously you don't put all of those things on at once, or you end up with mush, but those are the most successful toppings I've found so far.

You forgot to try fries with lime juice, salt and pepper, or chili-lime seasoning and ketchup. Mmmmm! I approve all the things.

I'm all good in the hood, I apply mustard left to right. Once sauced, always sauced. That's mechanical music to my ears!

Once sauced, always sauced? I knew that wasn't just soda you were drinking in your avatar. =^.^=

What about those people that do a dollop of daisy?? Hell I'm thinking...

UGH! Now I'm gonna have that song stuck in my head the rest of the day!

Do a dollop, do, do a dollop of daisy...

Substitute A-1 with Wishyoursisterwashere Sauce.......and we are of ONE accord.

ServantStrike I'm glad you threw in that last line about not putting all those toppings on at once. I was thinking, "Wow, that's loaded, loaded, LOADED fries!"

I do something like that with my baked potato though. At the local restaurant you get fries or potato, salad or coleslaw with your dinner. I get salad and potato, and use the salad bar to pile up fixings for the potato. It winds up maybe 60% potato, 40% toppings, but it's soooooo good! A super-mega-ultra-loaded baked potato.

Ooh, lime juice. That's a good idea!

I do enjoy worcestershire, but only on meat - it doesn't seem to go as well on side dishes.

It makes a cheap cut of meat delicious though!

It was actually my lame dig at the copious amounts of Once Saved, Always Saved threads and the No Musical Instruments In Church threads.

Yeah but we like your lame digs, they're usually pretty punny.

As for no musical instruments in church - he who farts in church sits in his own pew.

This thread has lifted our humour quotient to another notch. I am sure this has positively contributed to our rising TRP. I will soon ask our CFO a.k.a. MissCris to show us the impact of this thread on our top-line. (She's a whiz-kid with numbers.. if y'all didn't know :p)

We are planning to sell mugs and tees that carry the message of spreading mustard sauce the right way. I am sure it will be a rip-roaring success!

EDITED TO ADD: We could even ask Grace to paint faces with different colours of mustard sauce.. Just as soon as I have convinced her to charge three times her usual fees.

I have come to a crisis of faith versus medical science. My doctor told me to "lay off the sauce." He can't be talking about drinking because I don't drink. So my doctor must be telling me to not use mustard any more. I have to make a choice, do I keep applying mustard to my sandwich as I biblically should or follow the doctor's advice?

And Tintin, I recognized the source material. I was responding in kind.

Heretic! The only way to spread mustard is from left to right. Spreading mustard the 'right' goes against everything we were taught to believe!

the struggle is real

Tintin, you are confused, my brother. It is the goats which are on the left. The sheep are on the right. Hence, we can spread mustard sauce only the 'right' way.

Yes the goats are on the left and the sheep are on the right. That's why you start on the left and go TO the right. To start on the right is to go from the sheep to the goats. You're BACKSLIDING!

I think I'll leave the mustard off of my sheep and my goats. Actually I don't like mustard. Or at least I think I don't. Then again my tastes are changing. But I always thought that something that sounded like mouse turd couldn't be much better than they were.

Have I lost my salvation now or just my right to sit at the fellowship meal with all of you?
