Are you worried that if science paints a diffrent picture of the universe than what the bible does, you will have to throw one out

Not worried at all.

Science is wonderful and awe inspiring.
Unfortunately scientists are being indoctrinated with worldviews which are based on close minded philosophies and unproven theories.

Then you have all these big name fake scientists running around trying to become famous spouting off un-provable nonsense about the existence of God. They are just like all these fake christian preachers running around teaching false doctrines. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. "God doesn't exist!" "Sin is ok!" "Say yes to yourself!"

They do it to be seen by and applauded by men, to feed their massive egos, to become wealthy, powerful and famous.

Do not be lead astray by these false prophets. They say "God's over here" "God's over there" "God is no where". Blah blah blah "Buy our books", "Watch our television shows", "Eat up our lies like dumb little sheep while we kill you and eat you"

Enticing susceptible people into deception by causing them to believe something that has no actual proof. The whole "science disproves god" religion really appeals to alot of people, because it makes them feel enlightened. Makes them feel like they are on the cutting edge, the pinnacle of mankind's "achievements". It allows them to look down on large groups of people and feel superior to them. They think just because they paid thousands of dollars to be taught it, that it is automatically and unquestionably true

But it is them who have been deceived.

It's all the same filth under a different name.

Why did you feel you needed to respond to a question aimed at the OP. I didnt reply to the OP without first quoting the OP, did I?

Most discoveries had happened by accidents; like Edison was using all sort of filaments for his light bulb, but none of them had worked, but a thought has came to his mind to use a certain filament, and it had work. Fleming discovery was an accident as well; he had left a dish of blood out and went home, but when he had came back, the dish of blood was molded, but there were a spot that was in the blood that wasn't molded, and so he studied it and discovered penicillin. Newton even had admitted that he couldn't of had made his discoveries without God's help. As how God had inspired satan to put Job through the test, he does the same with us.

Fleming recounted that the date of his discovery of penicillin was on the morning of Friday, September 28, 1928.[SUP][21][/SUP] The traditional version of this story describes the discovery as a fortuitous accident: in his laboratory in the basement of St Mary's Hospital in London (now part ofImperial College), Fleming noticed a Petri dish containing Staphylococcus that had been mistakenly left open, was contaminated by blue-green mould from an open window, which formed a visible growth.[SUP][22][/SUP] There was a halo of inhibited bacterial growth around the mould. Fleming concluded that the mould released a substance that repressed the growth and caused lysing of the bacteria.[SUP][20] Penicillin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/SUP]

What have you learned that convinces you both christianity and science are compatible, knowing how each is extensively complex to understand just on there own.

Good question.
Wisdom and discernment from God and using it to seek truth.

Christianity is following Christ. There are a great many reasons that I believe it is true. That is a whole different thread.

Modern science is the systematic study of the physical world/universe through observation and experiment.

Technically, science cannot prove or disprove the existence of God. Because God is not a physical being and He is not currently observable by us. If God or a spiritual being submitted Himself/itself for observation, then we could apply scientific methods to study Him/it. However, such an event would automatically prove the existence of God.

Any theory which claims to prove or disprove the existence of God is stepping outside the realm of scientific study.

Now evolution is another theory which is not observable by us. It is not technically provable.
However, the subjects of this theory are visible to us. People, animals, plants, fossils etc...
So, it should be much easier to determine the credibility or likelihood of this theory because we have so much more to evidence to observe.

In my opinion (as if my opinion matters), the evidence is extremely underwhelming. It is however, open to debate, because using the scientific methods, I also cannot completely disprove it. I can only undermine or increase its credibility/likelihood.
As our knowledge of the world increases, evolution continues to appear more and more ridiculous.
Yet people keep coming up with tiny little theories about a hand or a tail or whatever they can to keep it alive.
Because everyone these days is taught that it is a proven fact, so nobody questions it's validity.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The other aspect to your question, is what I just talked about previously.

It has to do man's susceptibility to deception. (which is very great).
And man's capacity to deceive others for their own gain (which is equally as great)

Any "scientists" proclaiming that there is an incompatibility between Christ/God and science do not have any proof.
They lose all credibility as unbiased scientists when they begin making these claims.
The truth is they have no idea. They are pushing an agenda, whatever that agenda may be.
Atheism is a faith just as much as Islam is a faith or Hinduism. There is absolutely no difference, the atheist is not smarter for his belief.

Science is advancing and making great progress in many fields.
Yet there is a great deception in the world that science has things all figured out.
This is not reality, the collective scientific knowledge about the universe is still incredibly insignificant.
Science at this time doesn't tell us much of anything.

But it's application can certainly produce some cool technology
or medication with a thousand side effects, or neat new materials that potentially pollute our environment.
We now have the technology to mess with DNA and they are coming up with all kinds of crazy reject franken-creatures etc.
We can send a rocket into space which is cool. We are beginning to be able to view whats going on in the brain in real time, also cool.

Can all existing things be proven with the right methodical application or will God always be out of the range of any test even though he is an existing thing.

Science has become a religion for the gullible. A religion that, unlike Christianity, requires much more blind faith.
It cannot explain the bigger questions, it has no substance behind it, unlike the Bible.

My grandmother tells me she doesn't believe in God, she believes in science.
Because she listens to "science" programs on the radio.
She has been fooled like many other people by its empty promises from men
who claim to be the most intelligent people alive. Using all their fancy science phrases
to deceive little old ladies and sinful people. Speaking as if they knew what they were talking about.

Do you think your grandmother has done the best with the little we humans know.

I have been waiting to see what happens when the scientists at CERN fire up the Large Hadron Collider and run it at full power. This is 100% speculation, not science, but my guess is that if anything in the near future has a chance at proving the existence of God, or discovering the dimensions which spiritual beings exist in or discovering the particles that spiritual beings are made of. It will be the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.

But thats just my crazy idea of the day.

It doesnt sound crazy it sounds like something good to hope for.

I think she has lived her life and done her own thing. She had a lot of children, was married to an abusive alcoholic. Divorced him eventually, married another alcoholic who was not abusive. He died a couple years ago from diabeties and gout.
She likes to garden and find deals on clothes and things for her children/grandchildren.

Let's end this once and for all...

Show me some evidence.

Of what?

God? We don't have physical evidence. But we have many other types of evidences which is not scientific but philosophical, ethical, historical etc..

The Bible proves itself to those who understand it

I'd ask you to show the evidence that God doesn't exist, but I already know you don't have physical evidence. Nor do you have any of the other evidence which we do have.

Don't try and shift the burden of proof. Your the one making the claim that god exists, I'm saying there is not enough evidence to back that claim up. Its your job as the person making the claim to provide the evidence. Because if it was down to anyone else... then everything exists! Can you prove Zeus doesn't exist? Can you prove Ganesh doesn't exist? No we can't.. Which is why the burden of proof is on the person making the claim.

The bible itself is also not evidence, the bible is the claim.

So unless evidence is provided, I am unable to believe.

If both sides claim that each side cant be proven physically, how does each side know their side is true.

So don't believe. Just keep believing that the study of the physical universe is somehow a god in and of itself or whatever it is you believe.

So your conceding you have no evidence?

I'll give you one more shot.. Out of all the 'historical, philosophical and ethical' evidence that you say you have.. Give me your best one.
