I think that's a honest reading of the scriptures that as God is involved in the affairs of man he has used His judgment and in relation to man decided to change a situation. But He Himself does not change .
I would ask you, "How?" I've changed my mind about a lot of things, but that hasn't changed the basic person I am. It may have tempered the way I react and respond, but for instance, I still think Obama is out to destroy as much of the American image as he can, but I don't cuss him as I once would have, nor would I vote for him, although I DO pray for him... "occasionally." But being a Christian has not made me get any warm fuzzies for him.

The reason I believe my apostasy is justified is because it can be justified not because it can't be justified. A good scientist will say "A good theory is a falsifiable one" this just means that what ever theories you have should be attempted to be disproven first before claiming them as fact. This is the very good thing about science and why it can self correct. Now when I started questioning the claims of Christianity I just applied the same principle to the bibles theories. All I was trying to do was prove to myself that they weren't disprovable so I could believe it.

Yea stabbo it takes faith in things not seen...that's why its called "faith" At some point a part of a man has to go beyond what can be seen in the natural realm and admit there is more than just this world....Many great scientist have understood this and true science is not opposed to faith.
Well I'll only state the case for me.

And that's how I justify my apostasy.
