This world began as a paradise.We were walking and talking with God.There was perfect peace,joy and happiness.We have sought to be reunited with God in this way since the fall. We all have that God shaped hole in our lives,only He can fill it.What Christians should be running after is doing Gods will,being a servant and giving up our own selfish wills.So no we're not seeking what non Christians are seeking at all. They are seeking self pleasure,fame,riches,a life of easy and self indulgence.Totally different concepts.

We're thinking like children and focusing on the wrong thing if "heaven" is our chief goal.

To think these are for incentives is not to understand.

Warnings are about well being, not about "incentive."

Union is about love, not about "incentive."

It would be helpful if you shared how you came to be a Christian and baptized.

I think no, because the reason heaven is a place of happiness and joy is because we are united with God, hell is torture because it is eternal separation from God. A Christian wants to be with God for eternity, a side affect of which is the joy that comes with pleasing Him, whereas those who stray from God often feel lost and alone.

Oh the other hand, society seeks joy in material things, things that will vanish from the earth sooner or later, so no, we do not seek the same.

There is no fight.You threw the f bomb and you ought to apologize for it instead of making philosophical arguments to be right.I think everyone else is looking for the same apology.

Ahhh just noticed he's banned,good enough.Dont know why these people bother.

Good job. I thought he should have apologized to me for saying he wanted to put me in a test tube and apply heat, but it seemed like the crowd cheered for that one....I use iggy a lot so I don't drop down to their level to fight, you handled this well.

Didn't realize he said that to you.Some people just jump on here and say whatever they want.But moderators here seem to handle it quickly.They do good work.
 
since stabbo has been banned, why are ppl STILL commenting on here? Let his threads die so they don't keep on clogging up the forum..
