lets put things into context of the whole counsel of God...

Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 ¶ Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
What about the living works?
Do you really not understand what dead works are?

1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Lu 10:40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful:
and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Ok ...but the flesh cannot run a spiritual race..."works" are dead if they are based on the flesh and legalism. Now true "works" are from the Spirit and will of God...not the carnal mind of man.
And so you propose... we shouldn't earnestly try to pursue holiness?
Are you kidding?
If we actually have the Spirit, then He prompts such desires within us.
Rejecting that prompting is to reject the Spirit.

Sorry, but effort is a good thing to the Believer, but useless to the unbeliever.
You need to separate those two groups, and grow from doctrines of Salvation into productivity.

And there cleary, work and labor,
done only by the grace of God working upon a Believer.

Holiness is in the Spirit, not in the flesh! Legalism is not holiness its hypocrisy!

Maybe when you gain confidence in your salvation, then you will see that there is work to be done afterwards.
Salvation by Grace through Faith, unto good works.
Living Faith is working Faith.
Not to maintain salvation, but simply to fulfill the calling we are given.
Does it take works of flesh to fulfill the calling? No! It takes works of Faith.
Do works of Faith take effort, labor, and striving? Yes!

Peter boasted in his faithfulness to the Lord..John boasted in the Lords love for him....Peter failed the test, John passed with honor!

Yes by grace, not dead religious works!
Yet again, you seem to think all work is dead religious work,
and that all effort is effort of flesh.
Do you not know that you are a new creation?
All your efforts now are by the grace of God alone, and guided by His Spirit,
and yet you teach others to hide this new found strength, as a light under a bowl.

Yea I know young lady...how you are spiritually mature? I have labored for the Lord in the prisons and on the streets for many years now, in the true power of God....His grace and by His grace I labored more abundantly than they all.... so you don't know what your talking about.

And yet you tell others to not labor? As if no one else is working in the Spirit and under Grace?

No! you not being honest before the Lord ...which you claim to serve? I am teaching that true obedience is not legalism, but faith working by love...through the power of the Spirit of grace! If folks get a hold of love and the law of love, they will serve those in need, they will walk as Christ walked....but without love (legalism) its all just a religious show!

If you agree that faith works, then why do you strive so hard to prove me wrong, when I was saying that the whole time?

I hate legalism as much as you, and yet you were acting like even putting in effort is instantly legalism.

You know right now I am saving to build an orphanage and move to a third world country to show the love of God and the true grace of God...while I continue two other ministries here...what are you doing?

Boast in Christ and nothing else.
You are spoiling your reward.

Because your pointing to the works and not the source of strength for those good works!

No its time to make to you and show you how far you are from the truth of what God really desires.
Those who know my testimony can tell you what I do. Such things are not for winning arguments.

You have a horrible habit of calling others legalists without any sign of legalism from them.
You need to repent of this. It is divisive and fruitless.
There really are TRUE legalists on this forum, and yet you targeted this thread?
