Your reccomendations for a laptop, you have any?

k, silly question here, but i'm known for silly questions so here goes. :o Can you use a paid AV with a free one? Or will they conflict with each other?

Thanks so much Sis!! I was gettng lost in all the responses I dont know how that slipped my notice (sorry if I missed anyone else)

Now I have all my downloads in order, all my changes written down and my questions answered, and I feel like that girl swinging in the tree LOL

I am clear headed and feel readier to make the purchase (and make my husband poorer for it) LOL

As far as I know antiviruses conflict with one another in general so you should have only one installed.
Anti-malware programs are different and you can have them alongside an antivirus program. But let the guys correct me if I'm wrong. :)

I only have N-360 installed along with malware bytes and Ccleaner..

It's fine to have a program that doesn't offer real time protection (like the free version of MalwareBytes) installed with another AV program installed, but don't have two of them offering real-time protection/monitoring running simultaneously. They will "conflict" in more than one way.

Ccleaner is not an anti virus program in any way, so you're good there no matter which AV program you are using for protection. :cool:

I didnt even know women used it for their own husbands until I asked,

wouldnt the O be missing in DH if were Dept of homeland?

Depending on your computer and operating system its usually pretty easy to set your computer to original factory settings with a few exceptions such as

-is your operating system still supported What does it mean if Windows isn't supported? - Windows Help
- do you have a recovery disk.


If you are still interested in using your old laptop by knowing the brand and model and the operating system and I can link you to how to reset to factory settings or if your lucky going back to a restore point.
