I think playing the harp could help

1sam 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.

People with good grammar are often dumb as doornail's in common sense type things though.

I believe (at least online) people refer to someone who corrects other folks grammar as "the grammar police", and they can be as annoying as those misspellings you probably can't overlook.

Which is perfect for this thread, because I was thinking, what if there is something more here then meets the eye?

Do you go into convulsions at bad grammer?

Do you find you cannot help exalt yourself over someone else when a word they post is spelled (spelt?) incorrectly?

Does this ressemble how you feel inside when you see someone elses word spelling specks?

You could have a problem worse then an x box

Does a false sense of superiority flood into you after you have corrected someones grammer?

Do you covet others to see you as the genious you know you are?

If so, thank God for that spelling error then, because that error could have been used as a means to draw you into the very thread you needed to be a part of (for your own delEverence).

Maybe we can call it dumb luck?

Well, that's very LOL and all that, but it seems you just want to have a good hahaha. It seems it doesn't take much for you to ride your high horse into any post and interpret it according to your sense of "I know more then you do"

Which is interesting since you are not even the op and no one is paying for your opinion.

What? Nothing on tv at the moment?

Demon possession is something quite real as the Bible demonstrates. However it doesn't happen to believers. When Jesus is Lord, He takes possession of each believer's life, through the Holy Spirit's indwelling; and does not share us with other spirits.

When a person (always an unbeliever) is demon posessed he is rarely aware of his need for delivarence; so your OP question is meaningless.
I agree that demonic activity is well documented in the Bible. However the word possession in the sense it is used in the KJV, would actually mean that the person possesses a demon and not the demon possesses the person

I think that is where so much of the disagreement comes from regarding Christians and demons. Well, at least a part of it.

Christians can certainly have demonic attachments and many do...their unChristlike behavior attests to that fact as well as their inabilitiy to understand the veracity behind what scripture states regarding such things.

We have people in this thread mocking with more vigor then the thread warrants. Mocking is not a Christian attitude irregardless of whether or not one disagrees with the subject matter.

Could you tell me why one would deliver an unbeliever from demonic interference in their life? What purpose would that serve if the thing is just going to go out and get 7, more or less, demons worse then itself?

Again, don't view a Christian as being possessed by a demon because that does not happen

Actually, both my comment and the other comment were not about grammar, but rather simple spelling. There is nothing more annoying than the title of a post having the only word spelled wrong.

In these days of spell check, and auto-spell check there is really no excuse for making a spelling mistake.

If I don't know how to spell a word, I put it in google, if spell check gives me too many options.

Then there is editing. That is the fine art of actually reading what you wrote before you post. Seems like quite a few people have never been taught that, although it is an essential part of writing skills, even on-line. (Especially on-line??)

OR A demon got into the title, misspelled it just to bring shame and ruin on the OP! Yep, if demons cause mental illness like schizophrenia, a brain based illness treated by medications to bring the brain chemical into balance, then a demon can probably cause spelling mistakes!

Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Then there is the fact that some people spend entirely too much time worrying about Satan and his minions, instead of worrying about getting to know Christ better, and loving and serving him!

The greatest commandment, according to Jesus, has no demonic overtones.

"
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31

GrammEr, wUrds, missg letters, punk'tuation its all the same to folks who dont know it all in that dept.

I'm sure if folks with half you guys intelligence cared they would work really hard not to make such mistakes to get them the heck off their backs.

I just dont whole fine tooth comb posts thats kind of a drag to me.

I will make tons of mistakes, but the more someone gets on my back about it and others the more I just want to make them for some reason.

Like...

That's another one of his tactics. Christian bookstores have so many books on demons and such. Many of them are just cashing in on the craze...along with false prophecy and so on.

But there is still the real thing...focusing on the One who has already defeated the devil is a sure win even though the battle can sometimes be hard.

If you actually ran into a real demon situation you would end up like the sons of Sceva in Acts 19.

Perhaps deleverance is a written form of tongues??

What is more likely, a demon attacked a child while playing a video game... Or she was mistaken?
Since he was growling, flapping his arms, seeing four of his Dad. i am sure she was not mistaken. But the good news is, he
is not anymore. Thanks to Jesus!!. There is power in the name of Jesus. No?

My friends Grandson was playing some game and was attacked by a spirit, is why i asked. Thank You!
I know it sounds silly, but it is a true story.
May I ask if the boy was prayed for and the offending spirits washed out? Many video games and movies have opened he doors in people for demons to enter. Very few do anything about it. The God of this age has most blinded to his abilities and workings. God's people are often ignorant or suffer from wrong teaching in this area.

Yes you are not to be consumed with attention on the devil. It's persons lack of deliverance that is being addressed for this OP
If you believe God you will obey God. The measure of your love is the measure of your obedience. One of the exploits He commanded for believers to do is cast out demons. In fact it is one of the signs listed that proves you believe.

not down playing deliverance hand books that are anointed by God, however God's word has plenty to say on the topic hat would be enough for any believer to obey God with.

Could we please spell deliverance the proper way? Call me snobbish, but it reassures me everyone actually knows what they are talking about...or not
I do apologize for leaving out the "I"in deliverance. Perhaps you could put the "I" in after you take the "E" out. For E very one who gets born again needs deliverance. If you have not yet done so you then can say " I " need delIverance.

Thats what I need, some good scriptural examples of Satan using fear
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Revelation 2:9-10a
…9'I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy by those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days.
