I hope I didn't give the impression that your salvation was in question. The question of a specific interpretation some use to call into question concerning a person's salvation, which couldn't be further from the truth and I'll use this moment to share why.
In
Mark 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand and were choked in the sea.
The way I've been shown is that the swine have a specific nature. When the demon possessed man took on that nature, by virtue of that nature, that man became a place demons are allowed. When that man began to worship Jesus, looking to Jesus for help. The parable shows the nature of a man and the nature of the swine as being similar until the man gave himself to Jesus. What happened to the swine after the demons entered them is the image of what happened to the man when he walked in sin, not caring or heeding the Word of God.
Now, after having said all that, even if a person cannot see this parable the way I've been shown, does not make that person any less a believer in Jesus Christ. Because when a person hears the Word of God, repents and follows the teaching of the One who said, "Follow Me" Then the law has been fulfilled in that person whether the parable is understood or not. This is true of everything I have spoken of on this site. When a person follows in the teaching of Jesus, the law is being fulfilled in them. Because the law was weak, this needed to take place.
It's true, I spoke of things that aren't easily understood, or even out right rejected, but that doesn't mean a person is not saved or born again. Even the Spirit intercedes for the things a person does not understand.
Thank you for your patience. Your reference to the sacrifice of the Lamb of God (I say it this way for my own benefit) is something that has been and is being done from generation to generation. This is the center piece most christians agree on. You are right to say that using the smaller points of belief to disprove your salvation is far and away one of the worst things one christian could say about the other.
