Thought I'd start a thread for random thoughts in the Miscellaneous forum, I think some of these type threads are in the singles forum so not a place where we all loiter lol

So my random thought for the day: Upon watching the movie "King Of Kings" (no this isn't a thread for challenging the accuracy of the movie or the fact that Jesus is portrayed as a blue-eyed blonde) both God and Satan must be American...well they have american accents ;)

Good idea for a thread mpw, btw i would love to see your parrots I love animals:)

Satan might be an American but I don't know about God. Canadian perhaps. God save the queen. :)
Tourist, when our over-paid, under-achieving sports "stars" stand with a surly look and a reluctance to sing our national anthem I have to wonder if it's the queen who offends them or God.

Wandom words are everywhere
There are none that are that unique
Chockolataflectic is quite rare
I found it on a google seek

:)

Did someone mention chocolate??? ;)

Something else I discovered today...roast lamb tastes better when it's washed down with a glass of bubbly ;)

Well I don't know why I am thinking this, but my random thought is about the phrase goodbye....It just popped back into my head today about something I learned a while ago. According to the etymology of the word "goodbye", it came from "God be" which came from "God be with you"
I just find that little phrase more meaningful when I think of its etymology....

Standard issue for elementary school music in Canada back in the day was the flutophone. In grade 5 my school day began with O Canada and ended with God Save the Queen played on the flutophone and I can understand Satan moving south.

I'm curious what's a flutophone. I played the flute for several years then switched to the saxophone but I have never played both together my mouth is not big enough (I know I'm a woman but honestly it isn't) :)

I couldn't possibly see keeping anyone from enjoying an amusing thread about the random thoughts, like what you suggested, just because they're married but the thread is located in the single forum. I didn't find one because I went there looking but because a friend, who was single, happened to post there so I jumped to have a look. And I certainly don't mind a single person coming over in the married area to chat on a fun thread either. I wouldn't want anyone to be excluded just on status alone. If there truly the case, either it would be locked for certain people or I would have been banned yesterday.

I'm married. My profile states so. I don't add men as friends...Sorry, but I don't. Pleases my husband. Keeps us all honest. My husband can read and see anything I do on the computer anytime he wishes, if he wishes.

But, nothing wrong with having MORE fun threads everywhere. so thanks :D A great idea!

Rumor has it that satan defected from Canada cause he could get more freebies here in America.

Gotta love that greener grass. :p

A flutophone is basically a toy whistle with holes for doing something. If you were proficient at figuring out what the holes were for you graduated to playing a recorder.

Yeah that's very true FC, I just thought some might miss it if they didn't regularly go into those forums.

To my understanding, american children just start right with the recorder. My daughter hated it. I never had it growing up in the 70s. But in the 90s, it was best known as the instrument of torture.
