Actually the seven represent the spectum which forms the visible white light, and also reflects the basic 7 waves of the electromagnetic spectrum. Think it has something to do with the duality of light photons which are massless yet behave as a particle and a wave.

Might be it is a fragment of light, or rod, that reflects the the visible light relative to its wave length, which is not to be confused with colored matter that is produced by the tint which too reflects the visible light based upon certain factors of the tint.

So exactly what is the physical composition of the 'Spirit' Seems that one would have to know what a 'Spirit' is in order to to definitively dismiss something as untrue.

the numerological significance of 7 as "perfect" and/or "complete" is more palatable to me than tint.

While I don't dabble with the black sciences such as numerology, if perfect or complete then for what reason ? I hear one time that numerologists were divided over the significance of the number itself.

Could it have something to do with the (workings) of the Holy Spirit and those characteristics that we should have and add to faith.....

1. Virtue
2. Knowledge
3. Temperance
4. Patience
5. Godliness
6. Brotherly Kindness
7. Love (charity)

The word of can be translated of or from and both indicate source.....These things saith he that HATH the seven Spirits of/from GOD.....Jesus would have possessed the seven listed above

In chapter one verse 4 we see...

Grace and peace imparted to the seven churches in Asia from....
a. Him which IS, WAS and IS to come<---JESUS CHRIST and from...
b. The Seven SPIRITS which are before his throne....

The STARS are identified as the MESSENGERS (pastors) of the Seven Churches (candlesticks) that are in the hand of Jesus as found in verse 20 of chapter one....

And as noted....the SEVEN (spirits) of/from God are sent forth into ALL the EARTH......could it also be identified as the (messages) sent unto the 7 churches in Asia which is applicable unto every church that will be in the church age as the 7 churches in ASIA and they rights and wrongs that they had can be found in some form or fashion in the churches that are in existence today.....

Just thinking out loud and giving things to ponder.......not that I necessarily ascribe to the above....just some things to ponder for us all.......

Look up seven eyes

Zech 3:9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

The Stone and the Lamb are shown as the two with the seven eyes

Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Elsewhere it shows one Spirit that divides severally even though it shows more then several things

1 Cr 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

The 7 spirits of God can be rightly divided from Isaiah 11, Proverbs 8.11-ff , Proverbs 9.1, Zech 3 and 4 and Rev 5 and the descriptions of the 7 Spirits in Isaiah 11 are found in Proverbs 8.11-ff and then Proverbs 9.1. They are attributes of Wisdom.

It is my udnerstnading, and I may be wrong, the seven eyes of God that run to an fro through the earth are also the 7 Spirits of God.

There are not 7 Holy Spirits. I believe there are 7 attributes of the Holy Spirit.
