Some of you may want all your pets in heaven, but what about people who may have an alternate view of what paradise is, who may not find it appealing to have people walking down those beautiful streets of gold, with a leash in one hand and a pooper scooper in the other?

Here's my thoughts on this because Fen Fen asked this questions in a deliberate and thoughtful way. I personally believe that our human bodies are CLOSELY linked with all other living things on planet earth. The feelings and examples Fenner cited are shared by all other earthly living things - but the thing that separates us is not our brains, not our ability to plan, not our ability to love, comprehend, or reason - our separation from other living things is that God made us in His image. This (in my opinion and faith and my understanding of the bible) suggests to me that our earthly bodies are immaterial but that we have been bestowed with a soul that shares an image with Deity. That fact is the "thing" that allowed us to understand those things of the "tree of knowledge". It provided humans with comprehensions of the Divine. No other animals share this. Therefore, no - animals do not have this soul. This fact, however, has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God.
I guess Blonds question would be - Why even argue about something we don't know? I do know there will be animals in heaven and they won't hurt each other or us. Whatever is in God's plan in heaven with the animals we won't be disappointed and we will love whatever He has in store for us. I can't speculate about past animals I have had as to if they will or will not be there. I do know I will be content with what is there.... Why can't we hug and just get along?.....Group hug!!

You're younger than two of my siblings so that Son nonsense ain't cutting it with me, Pops.Back to the OP. Your short-sightedness regarding God's blessings is heartbreaking, but I'm praying for you, oh ye of little faith. Not only are animals in Heaven, but Jesus has prepared a place for me in Heaven as well, and I've asked Him to place lots of trees and fire hydrants on my property for the animals' convenience.

What I'm wondering is: If it is true that some animals go to heaven, wouldn't it also be true that some would end up in hell?
Not all animals are good ya know............some have serious behavior issues........
I was thinking the same thing yesterday, how ironic it would be. You suffer for your faith in many ways during your life, even suffer through some ChristianChat users, but looking for that fine day you get to see the Lord Jesus and the kingdom of heaven, only to arrive there and get mauled by a pit bull?

Something you have to be aware of is that this is a subject doctrinally off the reservation. To expect some things to be taken seriously, in terms of theology nonexistent, isn't realistic. We've most all lost pets and know that sadness, but there is serious of the word of God, and not serious. Perhaps grieving pets is best not included in the canon of eternal life Christ died to save man for and holy scripture?
Please forgive any offense caused unintentionally by my prior comments here and please accept my condolences for your temporary loss.
i understand what you are going through and know that God will heal your heart as well. Time will mend the broken heart, and you will be happy again.
My wife and i have always loved our pets (dogs) since our childhood and have lost good and loyal friends and family members along the way. We experienced the loss of our 2 pets Dan and Lady shortly after moving here to Ohio after my mom committed suicide 4 days before her 59th birthday.We had not been blessed with children yet but our pets were like children.
Our baby Lady a German Shepard we adopted in our late 20's got cancer on her leg a huge lump formed and became as big as a cantaloupe. We had to watch her suffer and hoped she would be healed but after going potty one horrible day she drug herself in the house then had a heart attack and died as soon as she made it in the house. i buried her in the back yard in the snowy winter and still miss her to this day. Then about 4 months prior to my wife having our first child our other doggy son, Dan (Scooby Dan, a brown lab mix) got bloat and upon putting him in the back of our vehicle he died while choking on his spit. i buried him in the back yard next to Lady in the summer and miss him to this day.
After our son was born my wife and i decided to move forward and get another 2 pets of the same breeds as our lost pets. We purchased a Shepard that had been named Rema (Hebrew for fruitful) by the prior owner and purchased a lab mix puppy we named Medad (Dad's love). Fast forward .......Rema has 6, 2 week old puppies she is currently nursing and she had 8 before that in September of 2014. Now we have 5 dogs (sold one a week ago) 6 puppies, a 16 month old son, and a daughter due in July. When all the calamities struck then we had no idea that we would be blessed with such a abundance of pets and children but God has been very good to us and i'm sure He has good planned for you as well.
So once again please accept my condolences and please forgive any offenses made by my prior comments here and when you can bare it try again and get some new puppies. It will help in healing your heart and please get them fixed .......lol.

Perhaps a problem is having this in the Bible Discussion forum? Maybe it's more of a Miscellaneous or other forum issue? I'm absolutely certain nobody meant anything by it, but there is an element of this that can be offensive, theologically, I've not pursued. One simply must expect some opposition to creating such new theologies, done in good humor it seems the best case that can be expected of real differing views on this issue.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begottten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Animals cannot believe in Jesus or have a personal relationship with Him, so how can they have everlasting life?
With respect, my brother, your point is indeed valid and you may very well be right, however just because something is not in Scripture does not make it non-existent. I could not argue if Scripture flat out said that animals are not in Heaven, but nothing of the sort is written, therefore many of us lean of God's infinite love, grace and creative powers to believe, hope and take comfort in the prayerful possibility that animals are indeed in Heaven. If we who are fallen have such hope, imagine how it can truly be if God in His holiness wants it also.
