As far as I have learned the Children of Israel would not practice this, although they did mold a calf of gold once turning from the God of all that is briefly. Also, Moses had to dest-roy the snake image that wss used to protect Israel from the outbreak of poisonous snakes in thier camps because some were beginning to worship it.

Of course I believe this practice is an evil deception of the enemy, for the saints are all who are sanctified by the Blood of the Lamb. Saints are not created or appointed by any man, only by the Blood of the Lamb of God.

Is this post designed to cause a controversy? If it does not I will be surprised, but my honest intent is to make people think and pray on the subject. God bless all who worship Jesus Christ as Lord, amen.

What many people miss is that after Aaron made the statue he said:
Exo 32:5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, Tomorrow is a feast to the LORD.

So the feast was supposedly never held for the calf but for YHWH. We sometimes do things in the flesh to please God but if it is not in line with God’s word it is as good as idolatry.

The other interesting thing that happened was when Moses grinded the gold into water for the people to drink. I never knew why he did this until somebody showed me Numbers 5:

Num 5:13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;
Num 5:14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

Num 5:23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:
Num 5:24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.
Num 5:25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:

Israel had to make a jealousy offering to the Lord and 3,000 people died because their hearts were not pure. God looks at our hearts even today. We cannot build a relationship with Him without a pure heart.

The Bible tells us that God is a jealous God and also that He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Exodus was before Numbers and God still held Israel to His law.

First, as an unworthy servant and friend, sorry and If i am not mistaken 'sir JaumeJ', that the 'bronze serpent' made by Moses and by the will of GOD, isn't it 'lifted up and placed' for Israel's 'healing' upon seeing it, from the 'venom' of the snakes, those who were bitten and further being bitten, because they spoke against GOD and Moses earlier?

Second, it is also a practice of evil deception of our own flesh/carnal, because it is written in Galatians 5; 19-21, about the fruit of the flesh/carnal, that is 'evident'. And in verse 20, one of them begins with 'idolatry'.

Third, your post is 'pure' and must not cause any controversy, because this is what the second commandment, of the Ten Commandments of GOD remind and stir up our memory about, that;

"Do not make any 'carved images' or 'anything in it's likeness' and then bow down an worship it. For I AM a jealous GOD ...................................."

Peace be with you in the name of LORD JESUS CHRIST, as an unworthy servant and thank you.

The bitter water is made from the ashes of the red heifer, I beliefe. It had not occurred to me the relations of the gold calf dust and the ashes of the bitter water from the red heifer. This is something, like Mary, I will keep in my heart until I truly understnad. Thanks for this insightful posting. Yahweh bless you and hold you close forever, amen.

As to the question of the op.......It is of the enemy of all souls working through men who will not serve the Most High, and Almighty to worship men,and creatures, and all forms of idolatry. However the children of Israel were just as guilty as the pagans for they did the same things. It was for this cause that the Assyrian captured 11 of the 12 tribes of Israel and it is for this cause that Judah was taken captive by the Babylonians.

Acts 7:43

You took up the tent of Moloch and the star of your god Rephan, the images that you made to worship; and I will send you into exile beyond Babylon.’

1 Kings 11:7
On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites.

Jeremiah 32:35
They built high places for Baal in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to sacrifice their sons and daughters to Molek, though I never commanded--nor did it enter my mind--that they should do such a detestable thing and so make Judah sin.

Amos 5:25-27
25“Did you bring to me sacrifices and offerings during the forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel? 26You shall take up Sikkuth your king, and Kiyyun your star-god—your images that you made for yourselves, 27and I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the Lord, whose name is the God of hosts.

Judges 8:33
As soon as Gideon died, the people of Israel turned again and whored after the Baals and made Baal-berith their god.

Judges 3:7

And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD. They forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asheroth.
