The obvious answer is no one knows, of course, but I am thinking that it could very well be longer than I and others anticipate.
2 Peter 3:8 "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
We know Christ won't tarry, that He has said He will come soon, but how much time is soon to Him? We don't know how long man was here from Christ's birth back, but we, no doubt, have less time than that. But if you stop and think about it, it's only been two days since Christ, to God. Man was here at least 4 thousand years, or 4 days, up 'til Christ. Might be 3 thousand years or more before He comes. That's only 3 days to God.
Just something that crossed my mind as I read this morning.
