I got saved and baptized in the church at the age of 9. Mom and Dad got separated at the age of 15, went to live with my dad where him and my uncle mentored me in a bad way made me me drink and smoke cigarettes at a young age.Didnt go to church at these times but got hooked on internet porn,cigarettes and drinking. As i grew up got in to a relationship where i had alot of sex and done alot of lien. After all this back to the present time i have seen what i have done wrong in my life and is trying to get back with jesus after all the sins i have done and their was alot i didnt mentioni changed for the worst.Now that im trying to seek him i here most preachers on youtube or on google saying you can lose salvation and jesus ill shut the door on your after willfully sinning for awhile. I tried to talk to god and go to this new church well the whole service i felt condemned and wish i stay in the faith like most people at the church i tried not to sin no more but kept falling into porn addiction and i would ask for forgivness then fall back into porn addiction i am willing 100 percent to stop but i already feel like im condemned and theirs no hope. These preacher quoted these verses that made me feel condemned.
Hebrews 6:4-6 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Matthew 7:19
A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.20"So then, you will know them by their fruits.
Am i condemed? or can i get back with god? if so how?
Hey brother. God bless you. And He will. Through your post, I see Him at work, and that just brings me closer to Him. I see a lot of courage in you too. God bless you for being so honest. Man why do you feel so condemned for?
First off. Everyone is a sinner. It doesn't matter if you're the pope. Nobody can look down their nose at you and pretend they are any "holier" than you. We have all fallen from grace. But Jesus died for all.
And if you are someone that is trying to change and trying to live for God despite your past and attending church and reading your bible daily then that church should recognize that in you and build on that.
These "feelings" you are having sound and look very much to me like satan trying to get you to avoid going to church and he does it the best way he knows how by playing on your own emotions!! Remember that these are just "feelings" and feelings come and go. Satan is trying to rob you of the joy that comes through faith in Christ and fellowship with Him, The Father and other believers. But greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world!
Here's some verses you should write down or bookmark in your bible for when you are next in church or just try to memorize them. Keep these in mind the next time you speak with your pastor or when you next walk into church or anytime!
Romans 3:23 KJV For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through your faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Through faith you are saved not by works.
Regarding what you have heard on youtube about loosing your condemnation. Why do you dwell on suchness? Do you doubt Gods forgive and forget policy?
Do not let those people take you down that road. It ends with
Ephesians 2:8.
However it does say that there is only 1 unforgivable sin. And thats for denying the Holy Spirit. Denying Christ's existence despite all the signs and proof and basically life in all its complexity and order itself. But thats an atheist's story.
And it does say that if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth then there remains no more sacrifice for your sins.
Hebrews 10:26 KJV: For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But this doesn't mean you can loose your salvation.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through your faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Through faith you are saved not by works.
And
Hebrews 6:4-6 refers to people who have come into knowledge of Christ but have not yet put their full faith in Him. Christ died once for all, for all your sins, past, present and future. In doing so He defeated death and sin. All our sins, past, present and future were nailed to that cross with Him.
So go boldly into church. Go boldly to God. His love surpasses all understanding.
