Argh.

My original post was supposed to say that I've given up looking for The Perfect BOY and am looking for the Perfect Burger instead. Thanks to all for the nominations... I've never had Whataburger but have read about it.

Obviously, what I really need to find right now is The Perfect Nap...

If finding someone perfect, by its own definition, 'perfect', therefor, has to be perfect for eternity, then no, I don't think you will find a perfect person. However, I am sure there is someone out there who is perfect in my eyes, not "perfect" but 'perfect', and she will know that she's perfect in my eyes by looking at the way I look at her.

I believe differences are healthy. I mean of course you won't have all the same opinions on everything because if you did, it would get boring after a while. I think differences keep things exciting I mean this example could be used in any relationship. I want a guy that is different than me in a way of he can choose at a moments notice to go for a drive where I am more of a planner. I want him to teach me a few things and challenge me in my thinking.

When we're all in Dallas this June, we'll let all the actual Texans take you to Whataburger and wax poetic about how it's the perfect burger. Meanwhile, I'mma head to Steak'n'Shake to get MY perfect burger. (Dallas has Steak'n'Shake, El Paso does not.)

Now, I ain't gonna front, Whataburger makes a fine burger. Sometimes, nothing will kill a craving like Green Chile Double. But I would take both Steak'n'Shake and In-n-Out over Whataburger. (And you actually have In-n-Out where you're at. At least, not far from you, anyhow.)

I realize I'm in danger of being stoned for saying this, but I really am not that big of a fan of the burgers at In-n-Out, Steak'n'Shake, or Culver's, even though I always hear mad raves about those places. I like some of their other food, but for some reason, just don't particularly care for their burgers.

I'm actually searching for the first burger love of my life. When I was growing up in the north, there was a chain called Bill Knapp's that had (to me, a least) The Best Cheeseburger Ever along with The Best Chocolate Cake. I've never found anything that came close, although TooJay's Deli does have TWO varieties of chocolate cake that were pretty killer.

All I can say is, I'll know true burger love when I taste it!

If I hear one more sermon, podcast, word of advice for marriage- I am going to shoot my eye out.

There is a point where it is too much insight.

Well the thread has already been derailed and I can't underail it... can't unscramble an egg y'know. So I'll just go with it.

There's a little local place called The Spot that has burgers that are flat-out GOOD! And they have a menu of stuff you can get on it - red onions, a fried egg, fried pickles, blue cheese, avocado, fried jalapenos...

About those chain restaurants y'all were talking about, I will only say this - nothing good ever comes from a chain restaurant. Their burgers come from preformed patties they keep in the freezer. You can't get a good burger out of that. (And yes I've tried Whataburger - it's not the same as a real burger made from fresh ground chuck.)
